Rowan saw Isla look at him with suspicion. She’s trying to find out if he’s lying or not, which is good, but she won’t be able to tell with Rowan. Oh no, he’s been lying to Isabella for at least 9 years and she only found out the truth when he slipped up. When she said **“I’m surprised you were there because if someone were writing messed up stuff about a client I figured the manager would be the first one for her to call not her ex…” To which Rowan looked at, lost at what the hell she meant. “Isla … what?” Rowan knew why Isabella called Isla that night and it’s not because of some bad reputation. When Isabella called Isla over, that article has already been out for more than a week and since then Rowan stopped writing anything. He promised to himself and to Isabella to never write anything about her again … Then he realized … If it wasn’t him, did somebody else write something about Isabella. “There was an article about her that night? Can you show me? I didn’t even know about it.”
