Beck looked at Shaun with a frown as he acted surprised that he was the father. “I mean what the hell! Of all people Shaun? Really?” She put her phone up to his face, making sure that he could see Josie’s text message up close and personal.
Josie: Shaun is the father of my child
She let out an exasperated sigh as she started texting Josie again. She proceeded to tell her that she’s going to deal with her later. Then out of anger, she changed her mind and said she should get her ass up here. Beck suddenly heard the call of Shaun through the void of her thoughts where he asked where Josie was. This seemed to make Beck even more annoyed, causing her to throw her hands up. He was acting as if he just woke up with amnesia. “What do you mean 'where is Josie??!” Beck heard another ding from her phone which was the sound of her nemesis Josie. She had responded to her message, saying that she would rather talk to each person separately, to which Beck reiterated that she needs to come up here now.
Beck paced back and forth while texting Josie, still making sure to stay on the other side of the balcony and away from Shaun. If what he said was true, that he didn’t know, she couldn’t be completely angry, especially since they weren’t even dating. Still, anger consumed her very existence when it came to Josie. When it came to Shaun however, She was still angry but mostly annoyed, disappointed and slightly disgusted. She wondered how she could ever be sure that he didn’t have feelings for Josie. She reluctantly looked at Shaun again, then back to her phone. “She’s not coming up here.” She said dryly. The whole romantic moment they were going to have, with singing birds and dancing sunsets was now completely ruined. She continue to stand there awkwardly on her phone, not wanting to look at Shaun. She wondered if he was actually going to talk to Josie and try to bond over their child.
