Josie could sense Shaun rambling and while she thought it was somewhat endearing it was starting to become hilarious. She let out a laugh that cut into his words, then it became louder until she was holding her stomach. “Shaun, I’m going to get a cramp from laughing, please stop.” She said, using a somewhat condescending tone while waving her hand. Then she let out a sigh and plopped down on the couch. The couch sounded like it was going to break, maybe she was really getting fat already?
“Well anyways, yes you are a father now.” She shook her head and rubbed the bridge of her nose. “I’m not sure how you feel about actually being a father…and I’m not sure if you even want anything to do with the kid.” She felt herself cringe a bit but the thought of having another child made her feel joy deep down. Getting to take care of another baby again, to hold one, was something that was starting to grow on her even if she didn’t want to admit it to herself - But the fact that she and her husband weren’t on good terms and the question of how Shaun would want to be in the child’s life… bothered her. “So what’s going on in that noggin of yours…” She almost said empty noggin but held back.
