“Long time no see, huh? That’s rich coming from you,” Her words confused Dave. “What do you mean, rich? You’re the one that’s been ignoring my texts all night. You left me on read when I tried to reach you and you tell me I’m at fault for not seeing you the whole night?” He responded back slightly annoyed. He wasn’t angry and didn’t want to get too angry at her knowing he also kissed another girl.
“You don’t get to look annoyed at me for being upset when you’re the one making out with random girls at a pool while I’m supposed to be your date. Do I look like I was born yesterday?” She said. It was only when she said this that Dave got angry. She just said they were supposed to look as if they were on a date, when she was the one ignoring his messages when he was trying to find her. “I’m not annoyed at you for being upset, I’m angry at you for ignoring me when I’ve been trying to reach you the whole night.” He came closer to her and didn’t realize how scary somebody so much bigger and bulkier than you closing the distance with an angry expression can be. “And now you blame me for not being on our fake date? For your information, me and Ravneet were looking for you, and maybe that kiss wouldn’t have happened if you did your part of the deal and didn’t ignore your date. And don’t you dare bring the fact somebody might’ve seen because I’m wasn’t born yesterday either. Because I’m pretty sure people wouldn’t magically believe that two people are dating when the girl keeps ignoring her boyfriend and spending her time in the company of another man, and if I hadn’t kissed Ravi tonight, I’m sure nobody would be convinced our relationship was real.” He took a deep breath, having realized if he shouted any more he would loose his voice. A silence arose and Dave filled it with the guilt for saying the kiss meant nothing in front of Ravi. Having it on his mind, even though no comment was made on the kiss, he defended the kiss. “And that kiss meant more to me than you’ll ever know. I’m glad you ignored me because it helped me realized I need an out from you and this relationship, especially if you’re going to be this distant and then blame everything failing on me. Who knows, maybe I’ll seek Ravi out to explore this, but whatever happens, I know I don’t want to fake this anymore. I’d kiss her again if I could.” He stepped back and looked at Tommy, who suggested they take this to a private place. Helen backed that idea up. Dave didn’t like that idea. He didn’t want to be taken to a place just for her to yell at him again for something she is also guilty off. “NO!” He shouted and gotten the attention of some people around them. “I’d have no problem being yelled at if I were the only one to blame for this fake relationship not working out, but I won’t be yelled at by the same person who is also making no effort at it and actually made it to the news with another man.” He looked at Tommy but kept talking to Helen. “If you really are that bad in a relationship, I pity the next guy you’re with.” He turned around. “Now excuse me, I need to figure things out, and you’re not helping, just like always.” That last comment was mean and vindictive, but Dave isn’t really all that mature and you can’t ask that of him. This arguement was the most maturity he’s ever shown.
