Tommy stood there frozen as Josie, his good friend, yelled at him. She had never done that before. However, he felt that’s what he gets for barging in on girl’s night out and yelling at one of her friends. Tommy had ignored the guy who touched his shoulder because in all honesty he wasn’t gonna touch Savannah. He knew he looked like an @$$. He did feel bad for yelling, but he was shocked and confused. He didn’t think or realize it was a dare. Tommy looked to Josie “I am truly sorry for being disrespectful J.” He said and you could tell he felt bad and was truly sorry. Then he looked at Savannah “I’m sorry for yelling at you.” He said to her really meaning it.
Tommy stood there waiting for Helen to tell him no. Especially after the way he acted just now. He would understand completely if she didn’t want to talk to him. However, he was relieved when Helen whispered “Let’s just find that quieter spot, okay?” Then Helen told Josie she would be right back, and Tommy nodded. Tommy and Helen walked over to an empty booth in the corner not too far from the group. He looked at her with pleading eyes. He took a deep breath “I’m sorry for barging in on your fun. I was just so shocked. I know it wasn’t the best idea to show up and yell. I just freaked out. I’m really glad you’re having fun.” He said as they reached the booth. He wanted her to sit down first if she wanted to. So, he stayed standing.
He was kind of frozen for a moment. Not sure what to expect now that they were on their own. Would she be mad? Would she yell at him? Would she even believe him? His mind was racing as he stood there thinking. He knew he had to tell her. He knew he needed to lay it all out for her. He was so tired of holding it all in. He was tired of any secrets with him and Helen. He wanted Helen to know everything about him. Nobody in the world knew everything. Not even his baby sister Rayla.
A loud noise close by snapped him back to reality and out of his thoughts. He looked deep into Helen’s eyes and took her hands in his own. He took a big deep breath in and out before speaking. “Helen… I have to admit something to you. Part of the reason I came here tonight… Well, Part of me just wants to take you home with me. So, I can hold you and cuddle with you.” He paused there for a moment to feel out her reaction. Then he continued to speak “Helen… I can’t hide it anymore. Well… I mean like I can’t… I just want to kiss you when I’m with you Helen. All I have thought about since Brazil is kissing you again and holding you in my arms.” He then looked down like a puppy who had just peed in the house and knew he wasn’t supposed to.
He was suddenly super nervous to look at her. He was super nervous to know what was going through her mind. He knew she had been drinking (even though she usually doesn’t drink). Which kind of worried and scared him some. He just always wanted to protect her. In this moment right now… All he wanted was to pull Helen into his arms and kiss her. He wanted to tell her, call me when you are done, and I’ll come get you to spend the night with me. However, he knew she needed time with the girls. He just had one more thing to say for now. Still looking down and not at Helen he said “Helen, I know you have been drinking, but there is something important I would like to talk with you about tomorrow. If you don’t mind that is.” He was ready to tell her about Tj. He knew she deserved to hear it from him instead of someone else. Only a handful of people knew about Tj. That is the way Tommy chose to have it. Most people thought it was his nephew, and only a handful knew the truth. Tj was his son, not his nephew.
