RowanFoley

Rayla asked how he was a bad man and he felt a bit anxious telling her everything, but he knew that she won’t back down until he tells her everything. He made a full speech about everything that happened and what he did and how it affected Isabella badly. He didn’t tell her about the kidnapping although the kidnapping is a part of this. He started talking and trailed off, not even knowing what he said by the time he finished. He looked at her, the risk of crying looming in the air, and her expression was unreadable. He couldn’t tell what she was feeling even though she had very obvious facial expressions. “That’s horrible.” He thought she meant about what he did to Isabella, not about his sister. He thought she was agreeing with him about being a bad person. “You may have some ome horrible things… but from what I’ve seen and hear from you tonight…” Once he realize what she was saying he got confused. Did she still think he was a good person? She started this whole speech about him being a good person and with every sentence more and more tears were pooling up in his eyes. When she finished by saying “Rowan Huxley, Foley, or whoever you are … you are a good person and I believe I’m in no danger from you.” he let the tears slowly drop down, one by one as he kept looking forwards into the garage. He started a little conversation in his head by thinking.
‘I should’ve never listened to that little voice. The agressive one.’
'No you shouldn’t have, but it’s not your fault for finding comfort in the voice at the time, just like the lady said.’
'Oh come on now, I wasn’t so bad was I? I certainly got you to this point in time.
You mean to the point I’m regretting everything I did because I listened to you?
'You might regret your choices now, but the ones I made you do gave you that revenge you were seeking for.
‘What?!?!? No they didn’t. Those choices were horrible and led me nowhere. I only got revenge when I talked to Isabella. She gave me closure and she made the necessary steps to helping me heal when all I did was listen to you.’
'Well what else could’ve you done? You couldn’t have relied on the law, it already failed you, and people assumed you were wrong or lied.
‘Isabella didn’t. I could’ve told her immediately when I found enough evience and withouth having unnecessarily hurt her and I still would’ve gotten revenge almost a decade ago, withouth all this unnecessary bullsh*t. Leave me, and don’t come back. You’re not longer welcome here, I’ve healed enough to not find comfort in the darkness you bring. I’ve stepped into the light.’
The voice might’ve tried saying something back, but Rowan didn’t hear it. When in thoughts he said ‘I’ve stepped into the light.’ Rayla planted a kiss on his cheek and giggled. Rowan looked at her with nothing stopping him. He wanted to kiss her now so much … And kiss her withouth having her kiss him first. He was just looking over her lips, imagining his on them, and getting ready to make that imagination a reality, when she said “Would you mind pulling into the garage?” she said it such a sensual way that he could find no other response but an immediate “No I don’t mind.” She pushed a button on her keypard and opened the door and Rowan drove in. Rayla pushed the button again when they entered to close the garage back down again. When the doors reached the floor and the light was turned on, he finally took the first step, cupped her face and kissed her. Gently at first, to not attack her mouth and then it grew more and more passionate.
