I was that way when I was younger.
The oldest I dated was 6 years older than me and I’m married to someone 5 years younger than me.

I believe it depends on how old you are
For instance, if you’re of an age where you change so much in the span of a year that a person a few months older is soo much different to you, you’d think somebody one year older is a grown up basically, it’d be weird to date somebody even a year older. That’s like up to 13 or 14 if you start daitng early.
Then in your teens, a person that’s 15 is completely different to a person that’s 18 or 19, but a person that’s 15 and a person that’s 17 are much more simmilar to one another than a person that’s 12 and a person that’s 15. (same age difference)
Then when you’re an adult, you’ve reached maturity so anybody that’s up to 8 years older than you is okay.
And I assume that once you’re over 30 having somebody that’s 14 years older than you isn’t that big of a deal if you’re both on the same page and like each other. But if it were a 15 year old and a 39 year old that’s an issue.

I’m in my early twenties so that’s why my boundaries are the way they are
Ig it depends what you’re defining as an adult but yeah, it comes down to personal comfort level
But even 8 years is enough to be at different stages of life kinda

But I once snogged a man who was 34 when I was 19 so …

But when you’re in your 20s or older, you could be at completely different stages in life to a person that’s the same age as you … After 25 age is just a number
