So for anyone who doesn’t know, I’m a massive fan of the manga and anime series - Bleach! It’s an all-time favourite of mine and actually one of my biggest inspirations back when I first came up with my own story, Kito. It was Tite Kubo’s illustration style that influenced me the most and it was Bleach characters that I used to draw instead of learning actual anatomy!
So it did kinda sting when the anime was cancelled back in 2012 before it could get into arguably the manga’s best arc. So, what a good day it is
There was an announcement today that the Bleach anime will be revamped in 2021 and cover that final arc that everyone wants to see so badly! I’m so damn excited, I can’t wait
Are there any other Bleach fans out there who are excited? If so, have any of you not read the manga of the final arc? I’ve read it and it’s incredible, right up to a lacklustre rushed ending - which an anime adaptation could potentially fix
Well if the manga’s already finished, it’ll probably be something more akin to Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
No filler, tighter episodes, better pacing since they know how everything will pan out. They’ll be able to plan out how many chapters of the manga go into any specific episode to pace the story out better rather than just sticking with a simple 1.5 that stretches out shonen anime massively.
That could potentially mean we could get a Bleach opening on par with Again, @ShanniiWrites
Sounds good to me, as much as I love Bleach it had the worst filler episodes of any anime I’ve ever seen but the manga is way better anyways.
Again is a damn good opening.
I’m so excited. I was personally hoping for a full remake tbh, in the vein of Brotherhood, but it’s not so bad. Mostly I wanted it because the fight with Ulquiorra apparently wasn’t quite as fleshed out and action-packed in the manga as Tite Kubo planned it to be, and it was horrendously stretched out in the anime due to filler and bad pacing.
But there’s a really cool version of it at the start of the Hell Verse film, so that’s not so bad.
Either way, I’m just excited to get a number of episodes. At the pacing of old Bleach it would take at least 130-ish episodes to get through the Thousand-Year Blood War. I wanna know what they cut and what fights they add more flourish to. Seeing characters like Kyouraku and Urahara unleash their bankai is gonna be cool either way, but in a well-paced anime with the full use of animation, music and voice acting it’ll be so cool
You think it’s silly to hope they might add some flourish to the final battle? It was literally my only complaint with the final arc was the rushed climax in the Soul Palace, everything leading up to it is pure gold though, I cannot wait
Yeah It’s almost like I don’t even remember what happened, it was like “ok it’s over now” and then “look children” lol I do think they might add a little more to it.
Me slowly walking away, because I only watched the first couple of episodes and drop it for my forth run of Naruto
Though I won’t mind watching this new updated version… Oh it doesn’t start from season one walks further away
Edit: but wait! There’s a chance we might get a new bleach game that night outbeat Naruto storm, (definitely Jump force ), Dragon ball Fighterz! Oh I hope
