They said they had her in class, but when heading outside for pickup, she was gone. I guess at that point they thought someone already picked her up.
Of course she was looking for Aria too. We were both worried about her.

There were a few birthdays when I was little that you could say were good. And last year, I’d say that was a good birthday, being with the people that matter most.

It’s really more for me and some peace of mind than it is a punishment for her. I’m not taking your judgment on how I should parent my daughter. You are not her mother, you don’t get an opinion on it. I’ve been in her life for two years now. I am her father, and I am raising her with Jess.

It would have been one thing if aria did something to be in trouble in those first few months of Kai being in her life, when things were a bit more uncertain, but by this point its a different story.
