I know that it’s what’s best for both of us, but it’s still hard. We’ve been married for over 10 years. That’s not exactly something that’s easy to get over.

It’s definitely been harder on Clara and Amanda since Jacob is too young to fully understand what’s happening.

Yeah, of course. We didn’t end on bad terms and I want to at least stay in contact with him.

“Of course - so the first book kind of underwent a timeline from around 2010 to 2020 with glimpses to the past. Basically - the first book went into what happened in the time line of main character and her twin sister. The sequel goes further into the future and discusses the experiences of the character as she grows up. This kind of differs from the show as the show is sticking in the same high
school timeline and the book is moving on - so it may be some time before I release the sequel,”

Of course but I will say spoilers for anyone who hasn’t caught up yet. The first season follows the main character as she returns to her high school that she disappeared from 4 years earlier. The timeline immediately goes back to the past and goes through her middle school years building her relationships with her various friends and that’s contrasted with how she’s being treated by them now which, granted, they haven’t heard from her in years so it’s understandable. Slowly throughout the season, there are hints being given to why she disappeared but season 1 ends with a cliffhanger with the audience realizing she had a twin sister. This was something that most of the characters on the show knew, but the audience wasn’t let in on until the finale. The first introduction of this twin was during a flashback where she appears and sleeps with the main character’s boyfriend. It’s also revealed in the season finale that for some of the episodes- the audience wasn’t watching the main character, rather her sister.


So what season 2 does is it goes into the twin’s life instead of the main character so the audience learns more about the twin’s perspective on what had been going on in the past few years. At this point - the reason for the disappearance hasn’t been revealed so this season - we kind of go into that but through the twin’s perspective as we move back and forth between the past and the two characters arguing in the past memory of the twin sleeping with the main character’s boyfriend. At the end of season 2, the reason for the leave is revealed through a call with her parents who tell the character that they need her to leave immediately.

You really used the favors to have people name their kids after you? Wasn’t there anything better you could’ve had them do? And wouldn’t it mean more for someone to choose to name their kid after you, like how Laurel’s middle name is Danielle, instead of forcing it?

Wouldn’t writing her out of the will be extreme Dan? Especially as Kai is not the one in control behind the scenes anymore, its Akielah, who wouldn’t be trying to do you wrong if VC won.

Hypothetically, If Jez and Jordan were to be back together and were to one day get married, or have a child together, what would your thoughts be?
Has Jezebel been with anyone else besides Jordan that you’ve approved of?

“it’s not about Akielah - it’s about her family. That money goes to a family in which most members of that family I have less than 0 respect for. Sure Akielah would probably cut VC slack - but I, nor my daughter, should need to get favors from other people. If she decides to go against my reccomendation - she can. She just has to do so knowing the consequences.”
