Well that is, assuming he at least has some ability to function with the alcohol in his system.
Though a small part of me still worries that no matter the outcome, the action of recording will come back to bite someone in the end.

Tis true. It’s more of a safety precaution than anything. Candice said her bit and now she’s recording to see if Delilah over reacts - and if she does, Candice has “leverage” on her (just like Delilah has “leverage” on Candice).
“Leverage” in quotes, because Deiliah will soon realize that she has nothing on Candice because Daniel erased it. But, It’s probably not worth it because Daniel’s been looking for dirt on Candice for a particular reason 
(which he can simply ask for now that she owes him something)
