“So let me get this straight, there’s this… game at your school that makes people do challenges and if they complete these challenges, then they get points… for what? What’s the bloody end goal?”
Addie looked at her brother with confusion clearly on her features. Her younger brother was currently getting ready for a summer party with Orange Royals or… whatever the hell it was called. “It depends on the person, some people do it just for the challenge, others do it for the end prize which is a sort of elite club? In a way - basically, the winners get connections to help with in the future” Currently, the two were supposed to be back in London - after all, the whole reason for her appearance in Beryl was to pick her brother up and bring him back… though there was another reason for Addie staying longer than she meant to. Specifically… a blonde, very handsome reason. That being said, her parents weren’t exactly happy with the change in her schedule, but a little convincing went a long way - helping her extend her trip by at least another month.
“Okay but that sounds bloody idiotic. Why would anyone want something handed to them? I don’t know Justin, it just doesn’t make sense to me,” she responded, laying against his bed. “But a party is a party, at least we can have some fun” Addie smiled, leaving her brother’s room with that sentiment without letting him argue about how the game did make sense. Either way, she simply didn’t like it - though that was just one oustide view of the famed “game”. In any case, Addie was already dressed in a shorter black dress that accentuated her curves. She had ended up convincing Leo to come with her a few days earlier on yet another date, though he did seem hesitant - the why she didn’t know. Either way, over the past month, the two were always around one another. She felt at ease with Leo - as different as their personalities were, it worked. Honestly, Addie really liked the man and didn’t have the heart to leave Beryl just yet.
Speak of the devil… after hearing the doorbell ringing, Addie immediately walked over - a smile on her lips as she wrapped her arms around him and kissed the man the second the door was open. They stayed that way for a few seconds… minutes? Who knew? All she knew was she soon heard someone clearing their throat behind her and found Justin standing by the door with a slightly annoyed expression. “If you’re going to have a public show, mind doing it somewhere other than the doorway?” Addie rolled her eyes, pulling away from Leo as she let her brother through. “Don’t act like you and Natalia don’t do the same thing, JJ,” Addie added as she walked over to Leo’s car who was driving the two of them to the party.
Overall, the party wasn’t half bad. There were a few of Justin’s friends there, but most of the people were upcoming seniors the same age as Addie. There was drinking, music… drugs (though Addie didn’t particularly find herself interested in participating in that). However, she was having fun doing was dancing with Leo and meeting new people - people who didn’t care about who she was… that she didn’t have to pretend around. Maybe that’s the real reason she stayed so long, it was simply easier here… easier with Leo. Yes, she hadn’t exactly told Leo who she was yet… but did it really matter? Being duchess meant nothing to her… if anything it was a barrier to her real dreams. Certainly, it was not something that defined her. If anything, Leo knew her more about her… the real her… than most people back home and Addie.really liked that. Liked… that he knew her for… her and not for the bloody persona she put on for her parents.
After a while of moving in between crowds of people and talking to them, Addie begin wandering around - curious as to where… well… everyone had gone. For the past hour, she hadn’t seen Justin or his little friends, or even Leo. It wasn’t until she heard yelling coming from the basement that she found where they were. As she went downstairs, away from the main party, Addie found that a large group had gathered around to play poker… or what looked like poker. For some reason, it seemed anytime someone won, instead of giving chips, the individual could either ask everyone a “truth” or they could give one person a “dare.” Poker Truth or Dare… interesting.
With a soft smile, Addie walked up behind Leo who seemed to be invested in the game, carefully displaying a poker face at the group as his cards were faced down on the ground. “I’ll raise.” She wrapped her arms around him and placed a soft kiss on his cheek before moving away and laying her head down against his shoulder to watch the group. Her brother was on the other side - the only individual who was in the running for the next round. Everyone else, it seemed, had folded. She watched as Justin looked at his cards. Though, from years of experience, she knew his tells - and she knew that he didn’t have a good hand. He was bluffing. “All in,” And that, right there, was Justin’s final tell. She knew her brother, and she knew when he was trying to get the other person to fold, he did an all in. Though, despite that, Leo didn’t waver - shrugging as he nodded, matching the raise. Though, when they showed their cards, it was an easy win for Leo who had a full house whereas Justin only had a pair of clubs.
“Alright Justin… I dare you to kiss someone besides your girlfriend… and no, it can’t be kissing your family member on the cheek,”
Addie raised her eyebrow - though it wasn’t necessarily the hardest dare, it wasn’t the easiest either. Not that she’d say anything - it was Justin’s own fault for going all-in on something when he couldn’t deliver. There was a sorry look on Justin’s features as he looked at his girlfriend - who looked just as unhappy with the predicament. First kissing Natalia on the lips, it looked as if he bent to her ear to whisper something… perhaps an apology before walking over to another girl. The girl was a brunette, and the slight redness of her cheeks was apparent as Justin walked over. Dana Sloane? Was that her name? Justin had introduced them earlier, but now she watched as her brother kissed the girl - a few seconds longer than they probably should have. Oooohhh’s filled the room, contrasted with Natalia’s angry expression.
As the man pulled away, the tension in the room had increased. “Well… I didn’t get to play. Come on let’s go again. And trust me, darling, I’m the real one to beat. Leo couldn’t even beat me at darts,”
Despite the increased tension in the room, the cards were redistributed. Looking at her cards, it wasn’t bad. She had three of a kind so far, though she showed nothing on her features as she raised alongside the others. The game went on, people raising, Addie’s three of a kind turning into a four of a kind meaning unless someone had a flush or higher four of a kind, she would win. She called Justin out, knowing his tells soon into the game and with a sigh, he folded - and then it was only her and Leo.
“Are you sure you even want to try to beat me? Love. I don’t think you have the cards to do it. You can only get lucky so many times in a row.,”
Despite her trash talk, Leo had a soft smirk on his face as he looked at Addie, raising his hand every time she did. “Alright fine, screw it. All in, love.” She watched him hesitate for a second, meeting his blue eyes to her own before she smiled, showing her cards first. She watched Leo, and after a second, he left his cards down and sighed. “You win,” People around her started cheering, and it was only after that she heard Leo had been winning the last few rounds - meaning she was the one to beat his record. As for her dare, however, she found herself going over to him to whisper something. “I dare you, love, to take me out of here - just you and me,” With that, she moved away giving him a mischievous smile as she found him standing up and putting his hand out to help her up as well. “As fun as this was, I think me and Addie are going to head out,”
With that, Addie walked with the man hand in hand as he led her to his car and begin driving away from the party. Though soon, the two found themselves at a condominium that she had never been at before. Usually they had been dates at neither’s homes, though he’d frequent Addie’s place to pick her up. “So this is where you live?” Addie asked as he drove up to the front and gave a valet his keys before helping her out. She smiled at the feeling of his arm around her as they walked to the elevator towards the top floor. “Wait WAIT let me guess before we get there. I’m thinking you might be the type to have a sex dungeon in your bedroom… yes? Or… no? Just a dungeon then…” she teased, wrapping her arms around his neck as the elevator continued moving up. “Oh please don’t tell me you and I dating were just a long game so you could kidnap me and put me in a dungeon. I promise you, I am not a nice prisoner. I bite.” There was an amused expression on Leo’s face as he pulled her body closer, "No dungeon, of either kind. And even if dating you is a long game, it’s not to make you my prisoner.”
Addie always found herself grinning when she was with the man. Was it the “honeymoon” phase as people called it? The beggining of a relationship where everything is pefect? It almost seemed like it, everything the two did together was… amazing. Though she was going to say something in response to his sentiment, she soon found the elevator door opening aleading to the interior a mosh pad that screamed “Leo”. The colors were dark inside, though, the blacks, grays, and royal blue’s seemed to match his personality well. Despite her interest in seeing the rest of the place, Adelaide Parker found herself more interested in something else. Particularly - someone else. Leading the man to his own couch with no hesitation, she straddled him placing her lips on his as they often did recently. Though, they had never had sex - the two usually stopped before getting to that… part. Okay fine… maybe Addie was a little nervous. Look she… had never had sex before. It’s not that she never had the opportunity it was just… she always wanted her first time to be with someone she cared about… truly cared about and her last few relationships never felt… important. This… Leo did.
There was a tension that filled the air as Addie let out a moan, another smile gracing her lips as he pulled her hips closer. She didn’t know how long they spent entangled together like that, but she did know she had somehow ended up below him as he kissed her neck. “Leo…” she mumbled in her daze after a few seconds, and with some hesitation, the man halted his movements to look at her. “Play a game with me,” she stated innocently. Maybe it was, in part because she was still scared of where this could lead… but she knew they were both in need of a distraction while Addie worked up the nerve. Perhaps Leo could sense her nervousness, because she found him getting up, sitting on the couch as he looked at her with a curious expression. “What did you have in mind?”
“One on one game of poker? I mean… clearly I’m better than you I just want to see how well you can keep up,”
“And what do I get if I… keep up?”
With that question, Addie moved towards him with a michevious smile, leaning towards his ear before whispering “Whatever…you want…,”
“Well… I can’t argue with that… but how about we raise the stakes? Strip Poker?”
She shifted her head, smiling as she looked at him before laughter left her lips. “Deal… but get ready to strip darling”
Okay… she fcked up. Maybe Leo was better at this game then she originally thought. Maybe you’re wondering why she would say that? Well, at this point, Addie was practicially naked and down to her underwear and Leo was almost still fully dressed. Scratch that, he had taken his shirt off, but he did that to “even the playing field” because she hadn’t won a damn game in the past 4 rounds. “You bloody w^nker,” Addie sighed, looking at the cards and finding that she once again, lost. “Did I even bloody win before?” There was an amused smile on his lips as he put the cards down and walked over to her, kissing her before shaking his head. “No… but it was a great effort. I just… had a better hand,”
There was a pout on her lips as he grabbed a throw blanket sitting on the couch and wrapped it around her. “But it’s fine, we can stop here,”
“Oh hell no. I stick by my word,” Addie stated immediatly, taking the blanket off and turning around to face him as she moved her hair away. “You’ll have to take it off though…” she whispered and allowed her eyes to flutter close as she felt the warmth of his hand on her back as he kissed down her spine. “We don’t have to do anything, Addie. I just want you to be comfortable,”
After a few seconds of enjoying his touch, she sighed, turning back to face him as she went back to sitting on his lap. “I know… but I want to Leo… I want… to do it with you. I just… I’ve never done… it before so I don’t… really know what to do. Like… I know what to do I mean… me and my girlfriends have watched… videos when my friend snuck a a cassete tape from blockbuster… I just… okay I’ll just stop talking because you’re clearly laughing at me…” It was true - there was a smile on his lips as she started rambling but for a long time, he didn’t say anything. “I can’t help it, Addie, you’re adorable,”
“Hey you’re not supposed to call me adorable or cute before we have sex for the first time. You’re supposed to say something like… sexy… irrististable… or something like that,” As she responded, he simply laughed more, though, before she could say anything to him, he kissed her - pulling her body closer as his hand moved to her bra and took it off while he took her breath away. “You are, Addie. You’re all of those things, and I can’t get enough of you,”
The “Something Old” - 2031 - Continued - PART 3.2
OKAY NOPE NOPE NOPE Jess was not going to read a sex scene involving her mother. No sir. Nope. Not happening.
"Hey Jess, did you ever make that popcorn or did you decide to make a gormet dinner instead?
It was right when she halted her reading when she heard her cousin coming in through the door, making her immediatly close the journal and hide it behind her back. Immedialty, Daniel gave her a strange look - likely having seen what she did. “What’s that?”
“Nothing, Dan… and no popcorn is right in there,” she followed, pointing to the microwave where the now cold snack remained. “Right…” she found him headed towards the microwave, giving her a false sense of relief because the moment she let her guard down, Daniel grabbed the book out of her hand - running across the kitchen island as he looked through it. “This journal belongs tooo…ohhh reading someone’s journal Jessica? And I thought I was awful. …belooonnggs to… wait… Adelaide Belle Parker? This was your mom’s?”
She saw as Dan halted for a second, looking back up at her in confusion. “Did… you know my mother whent to Beryl when she was 17? Apparently she was with your dad and met a guy there that… wasn’t my father.”
“No… no she wasn’t dad always said he went to Cerulean alone”
“Exactly… so what happened that none of our parents talked about this for the last 28 years?”
