The sound of heels clicking on the floor echoed across the white hallway as Kara walked to the elevator. There seemed to be multiple misfortunes happening to her today and it was slowly starting to aggravate her. For one, her hair looked like a birds nest and her usual routine didn’t help anything. Then after parking somewhere to get coffee, she forgot where she put her car. Exhaustion settled on her shoulders from talking to her friends all day at the mall about Katherine’s strange work presentation there, but of course she didn’t say anything because that would get her kicked out of her friend group. Her finger pressed the elevator button. As if her bad luck really just wanted to say hello again, she couldn’t remember if she brought her car keys with her or not so she huffed and started searching through her purse that was hanging around her shoulder. The ding of the elevator opening captured her attention which caused her to look up. As soon as she looked up she locked eyes with Dorian and immediately looked down again, pretending that she was still looking for the keys she already found. “What-” She thought to herself when walking inside.
The elevator door closed in front of them while she stood against the wall looking at the ceiling. She pretended to look at the wall beside him but decided to look at him again. Then her eyes trailed to the floor, followed by tapping her shoes on the floor.
He looked better over the years apparently. Not that she really cared. Okay…she did care a little bit. It was interesting that he was here anyways. “Haven’t seen him since high school…long time ago…not that old…wonder what he’s doing now…Elodie…” These thoughts formed in her head as she looked at the elevator door. “Please don’t talk… please don’t talk…going to be awkward…” There was a strange aura of uncertainty between them. She really didnt know if she liked him as a person or not but she also wanted to know what was going on in his life.
