The sound of frantic movement broke out the instant Sophia looked away. From the brief glance she had when initially walking in, it seemed there was little options for him to turn to. Sophia still managed to appear unfazed by the situation, which abruptly contrasted the man’s undeniable distress. She hid a small smile at the absurdity of this situation, not wanting to laugh right in front of him. Though she noted that there hadn’t been any explanation for what was going on. Nor had there been much words from him in general.
When it seemed the sound of rustling had stopped, she assumed it was safe to look back. With his choice of protection, Sophia had to avert her gaze to the ceiling as it seemed she had presumed wrong. “Interesting choice,” She remarked at the practically transparent blanket he had chosen to cover up, before he began some poor attempts at stringing a few words together for some form of explanation.
As he finally stood behind the couch, acting as some suitable protection, Sophia deemed it suitable to look back as he continued to ramble about how this happened. Though as he was talking, Sophia’s attention turned to the sound of motion from the other side of the door. She waited for a moment to bring that observation into the conversation as she turned back to him. “Ah. It all makes sense now,” Sophia commented, although clearly unconvinced considering the lack of a cohesive answer from him. “But don’t worry about it, it’s not like I haven’t seen worse,” She told him, with a detectable playful tone, trying to brush the situation off for his benefit.
“I walked in… to my room,” Sophia informed him, holding up the key she had used to get in. “It seems it’s already been settled into. Soo…” She trailed off, looking around. “It seems the receptionist was out to get you,” She told him in a lighthearted tone.
Then Sophia turned to the door, “But I think they tried to make up for it,” She continued as outside the door revealed the luggage bags that had been dropped off, which was basically his saving grace at the moment. “Maybe you’re luck is finally turning around?” Sophia enthused as she slid one of the bags across the room to the general area of the sofa he had been stuck behind.
