“Woooow JP, bring down the bragging. You don’t want the nugget title to be taken away do you?” Amie added with a soft laugh. At the very least, Amie had to admit that JP was good company. He knew how to calm any situation down and honestly, she really enjoyed that. There weren’t many people she could be that way with, and surprisingly, JP had somehow fallen into the list of people she was. At the same time, her best friend… or former best friend Alex had been taken out of that list… as much as that hurt. Could anyone blame her though? How… how do you go back to being friends with someone who you kissed? Amelia Grace had messed it up… she knew that and maybe avoiding him wasn’t the answer but it was the only answer she knew she could do. And… well clearly he had moved on: from the edge of her eyes, she could see his hands in Sophie’s and she was… happy for them. Honestly… yes.
That didn’t mean it didn’t make her feel like absolute sh!t though. Maybe that was another reason the words left her mouth as she asked JP something that Amelia Grace one year ago would have never dared ask. Are you ready for that? She looked at him with raised eyebrows - and within that one sentence she felt pushed to grab his hand and lead him away from the festivities. Hand in hand, Amelia walked far away from where Elodie… and Phoebe and…Diego… and Alex and Sophie were… and simply pulled her date into a random room. She found herself in the gift room - clearly where they had brought all the guest’s wedding gifts to place. There was a large table in the side with gifts piled up it, and even surrounding the floor. Closing the door behind him, Amelia Grace pushed him against the same door, looking up at him with her eyebrow raised. “I’m not backing out, JP.” She whispered, pulling his lips down so that they were on hers.
