Let’s be real here. Prom, especially not Cerulean high prom where people would wear outfits that cost more than Logan’s car, show up in private limousines, all without a care in the world aside from how good they look with their date, was not Logan’s kind of scene. She felt like she had more in common with the people who would come in to clean the venue the next day. However, being senior Prom, Logan knew she had to show up, at least for a little while. She knew prom would be one of those events that she would someday regret missing if she didn’t at least go to say she had been there. For that reason, Logan had found herself a vintage dress at a thrift store that just happened to be on sale for a price within her tight budget. Though as a bonus the dress consisted of multiple shades of blue, her favorite color. For once, Logan had herself all dolled up. A rare sight indeed. Speaking of rare sights, Logan found herself face to face with Veronica Charlotte Parker herself. Since Logan first came to Beryl, the number of times they had ever spoken more than a sentence or two to each other could be counted on one hand, so Logan certainly hadn’t expected the Parker girl to come up to her right then and there. Logan looked the girl over, surprised by the interaction. “Thanks…” she started, responding to the comment on the dressing up “looking good on her” “and who says I’m avoiding you? We don’t exactly have a lot of the same friends.” There may have been a couple of mutual friends and acquaintances, but there were also a lot of people where one of them was close to them, while the other didn’t get along with them. They were just two completely different people in different social circles. Logan knew about her, because she was a Parker. The daughter of Daniel Parker, technological genius, and Valerie Parker, well known actress, to be exact. Just being her was impressive, and far from Logan’s life. Logan was just the girl who would work two jobs, even while doing sports and school, just to keep a roof over her head and food on the table. They weren’t alike, so what did it matter if they were ever around each other?
