Prom, honestly the most tame party Laurel had gone to recently. Though how tame can Cerulean high prom really be? Although, this year’s prom included some certain individuals as chaperones. Some cerulean high alumni in fact. One being the father of Amelia and Phoebe, the exact reason Jezebel never exactly approved of her being around the Taylor-DeLoughrey girls. Then of course there was Dorian DeLoughrey, the uncle of Phoebe and Amelia, who was also cousin Jess’s husband. Because of course he was in Beryl because of Jess being there with her mom. Why he was chaperoning prom, Laurel couldn’t understand. Though if chaperones were a requirement, at least one of them was actually someone decent. Kaya’s father, Andy McAllister himself. Though she had practically known the man for her entire life, through Kaya and to an extent Jess and her own mother, as Jezebel and Kaya’s mother had gotten to know each other better when both her and Kaya were just babies. Even knowing the man personally, Laurel still found herself as one of his biggest fans. He had been a musician since before she was born, but he was without a doubt her favorite, so if he was a chaperone then maybe that meant there could be some good music for the night. Either way, Laurel had found herself with a date for the evening, someone she didn’t necessarily plan on going somewhere with as a date, as there was too much of a past attached, but he asked so she said yes. That’s how she ended up finding Raphael Montoya at her door, or well Paige’s door, because Laurel wasn’t staying in her own home for the time being. When she opened the door, she smirked, looking the man over. “Hey handsome, mind zipping me up?” she asked, turning her back towards him, where the very top portion of her backless dress remained unsecured.
