It was a good question: why did Kaspian care? Well… his mom did teach him to treat women with respect so maybe that had something to do with it? Sure, Kaspian was willing to rush up to a girl, cover her mouth half-naked, and tell her to shush - but leaving her alone when that person could very well be in a distorted mindset seemed wrong. And, for his benefit, HE DIDN’T MEAN TO DO THE FIRST THING. If the arse didn’t chase him on Valentine’s day… they wouldn’t have been in this situation. Sure… SURE… Kaspian was giving that dude’s wife a back massage but he was going to get tipped okay?
To answer your next question, Kaspian did end up getting tipped… as sh!t ton a few days later after the woman called him back apologizing for her husband. So was getting 15K for being chased across town worth it? Yeah, Kaspian would say so. And now, while Kaspian should have been dealing with customers outside, he was dealing with a girl who was arguing with him that That’s not how it works. “I’d like to think it is. If he liked you, Katherine Burton, he’ll come back… and, I’m pretty sure bowing after a dance is a norm as well,” Kaspian responded before pulling her closer for the dance without really asking. Sure… he respected girls but he also knew when to stop arguing with a drunken one and just do. Wait… wait that sounded wrong. NOT do as do against her will. Katherine could push him away and stop anytime she wanted.
Alright… time to get to the point… the point being was she sober enough to be left alone. Sadly, the answer Kaspian had was not a firm yes especially as Katherine immediately went off topic to her stressful day and how she hadn’t eat… wait she hadn’t eaten anything? There was something in that… that didn’t sit right with Kaspian. Spinning her around, Kaspian remained quiet as he listened to her voice as she continued to her… answer. One that included a spiral of her having friends… apparently a lot of friends before she told him what he wanted to know. She had drunk the punch - which was spiked - trust him, he had given it a small taste before the whole washed-out rockstar issue - and something about Muffins which didn’t sound good by the looks of it. Here’s the thing with eating or drinking something in a public place like this - one needed to always expect everything was messed with. And clearly, Katherine had learned that the hard way… fck.
Kaspian’s mind was… running attempting to figure out what his next move was when she said something about scaring him away before moving her hands to the square of his chest, before asking yet another question he doubted she would have asked sober. “I can’t say I am, but I don’t exactly mind running into you either, Miss Burton,” Kaspian whispered back, his eyes moving from her own, to where her hands met his chest. “I have a proposition, Katherine. I’m headed out for a few minutes to go… do something. Skip a few minutes of prom and come with me?” Kaspian questioned, “And maybe I’ll prove to you that I haven’t been… scared away,”
