Victoria was really doing it. Ezekiel let his gaze fall down to her finger that was now on top of his, pressing the button. Staying like that, he only let a sweet smile form on his lips hearing her attempt to do a British accent. Okay… not an attempt, she was quite good at it. One of many things he adored that always put a smile on his face, even now at this situation. Slowly he looked up at her with now a goofy smile, listening to her made-up story.
“What did I just do?”
It was bad, Zek knew this whole thing was bad and not like Vic but he did find it… entertaining. It was small, stupid… maybe not stupid in this case because it was done out of revenge, which he actually supported, that made his life fun and distracted him from his own thoughts.
He was both surprised that Vic ended up doing something about it and very proud of her for that same reason. A short chuckle left his mouth as he playfully shrugged his shoulders. “You just raised hell,” Zek joked, using her words from just minutes ago, making sure there was a smile on his face knowing and seeing she was freaking out. That was the only thing he could do - pretend like she didn’t do anything bad just to not make her more nervous.
When she started laughing was when he also loosened up, gently taking her hands and pulling her down from the desk. “Not coming to these things in the future? I think you enjoyed this way too much and I should be concerned about you forming a special kind of friendship with the intercom.” Still holding her hands, he teased back but quickly continued, being serious this time. “I also think we should get out of here… Now,” with those words he pulled her towards the door, exiting the room and rushing to the next hallway, away from the party. If she really wanted this to stay between them they had to leave that room because someone, security, would come looking for the person responsible for what happened. And that surely did happen - leaning against the wall and looking back towards the direction they came from, Zek could see two men in black rushing to the empty room. What a night… escaping trouble again.
But this one wasn’t that bad. He’s done similar things many times, mostly in school, just to crack a joke or say something funny before going on with his long day filled with classes… but never something like this. Now he just didn’t want Vic to get in trouble and that’s why he got her out of the room and was still holding her hand while they waited for those men to go away. And maybe he was also afraid for himself considering he had things he shouldn’t have in his backpack. No, he will never learn. ”Would you rather go and see what’s happening,” pointing towards the direction of the party, Zek quietly started, slightly tilting his head so he could look at her. ”Or you need more time off and we could…” slowly looking around the hallway, he continued, chuckling to himself. ”Go somewhere and I can tell you all about a forest fire I just ran away from.“
