Blue Royalty: New Blood

It’s been 4 months and 21 days since Finley has seen this town, this school, all thanks to his lovely father who thought Finley needed some time away, in a different school. That was some bullsht. That’s not what he needed or wanted, especially not when only two months before that he moved out into an apartment with his good buddy. And those 2 months… the best two months this guy has lived. All on his own away from his fathers and their demands. Away from their useless attempts to make him start thinking about things other than boxing like… this stupid school he was looking at in a new stupid car. Usually you wouldn’t dislike your new car… well, I guess it depends on the situation and in his case, it was complicated and it was making him mad every time he thought about that. How does one so effortlessly get away with stealing his car? Stealing, yes. That bratty girl did not win, she was a cheater. You’re asking yourself: What bratty girl? Finley has absolutely no idea who she was and wouldn’t care to find out if his baby, 1969 mustang, wasn’t in her hands.

Talking about that car. ”Holly sh!t,” turning off his car and grabbing the bag that was on the seat next to him, his eyes were glued to what it looked like his old car parked not so far away from him. In front of a school. Slamming the door, Finley looked around himself at all the students he hasn’t seen in a really long time and honestly, gave 0 fcks about. All that just to make sure this was not some kind of a prank and no one was looking at him walking towards the car and looking inside. Yeah. That was his car. That was the first baby he bought when he was 14 and had many beautiful nights in and it was parked in front of a school. It could mean two things: that girl just made a dumb mistake of being in this town and parking in front of his school or she was somehow, be it fate because he is getting that car back, going to his school. Either way, this was a perfect opportunity to steal his car back, what… he just needed to somehow unlock it and…

“Welcome back. I hope you’ve thought about what happened and-“
”I need you to call whoever owns this car and-” Turning to face his father and principal of Cerulean high in an attempt to cut him off since he didn’t care about what he was going to say, his father ended up doing the same thing. “AND I hope you take this school year more seriously.”
”Did you not hear what I just said?” Laughing to himself and crossing his arms, with his gaze he followed his father who continued walking towards the school, not paying attention to his son or what he said. Was this what his relationship with his family was like? Pretty much but it wasn’t something that bothered Fin, he just did not care. The only sane person was his step-sister Holly who he ended up texting before walking away from his car and entering the school, giving it one last glance.

To: Holly

I found my car

Ah, but this school… There was no one who disliked it more than Finley. Maybe because he had to be in the same building his father was or maybe because he just did not like other people he was going to classes with… or he just did not like school. A mix of everything? Yeah. Don’t get me wrong, there were some good things about school like few friends he had, girls and… looks he was getting. Like now. Was it because they liked him, feared him or just because he was back, that he did not know but he did know no one dared come and talk to him and he preferred it that way. As long as they were all out of his way he would stay out of their way.

Walking towards his locker, his gaze travelled from one person to another, not a single word said. Until he saw a girl at the end of a hallway who looked exactly like someone with the name of his dear snake. But it wasn’t who he was thinking it was because she doesn’t live here. That’s what he’d continued thinking if he didn’t meet her eyes and stopped in his tracks. Great.

”You could’ve just texted me begging for forgiveness instead of coming to another country,” playing with the keys of his car, he did not care about people around them, their opinion or thoughts. He acted as if the two of them were alone in that hallway and he could say whatever he wanted, as loud as he wanted. That was the first time there was a smile… a sarcastic smile on his face since that morning while he was walking towards Hartley. ”I know you were dying to see me but I don’t think feelings are mutual.”
