All Quinn could do was watch as Amie pushed him. “Who did you think I was before my sister died? A f^^king angel? No, that would be you. You’re the one here who thinks you’re so above doing anything wrong, but guess what, I’m not. And I don’t care.” Quinn had come to terms with the fact that he wasn’t what someone would necessarily call “a good person” and he didn’t see the point in trying to be something he wasn’t. What the hell was the point in even trying? He didn’t care if his actions hurt him, or even if his actions hurt others most of the time, he just didn’t care, yet Amie still did.
Though it seemed that Amie was ready to say something else, the attention of nearly everyone else in the room suddenly turned to their phones, to the lovely post from Blue Royalty. The post certainly didn’t ignore Quinn’s stage escapade, but it also touched on Amie, who had apparently taken college tests for Phoebe instead of herself, and then on Quinn himself. The post explicitly named him responsible for sending Blue Royalty Isabella Montoya’s nude photos, which was true. Just as it was also true that he had slept with her as retaliation towards what Enrique had done to Finch. Sure, he shouldn’t have done it, he knew that, but she also knew exactly what his reputation was beforehand. Finishing the post, Amie’s attention was brought back to Quinn, where she continued acting like she knew so much better than he did.
Why did she put so much effort into him? Most would’ve given up by now. Hell, most had by this point. Everyone was either giving up on him, or he had burned the bridge between them. Even Amie had noticed, that much was clear by her questioning of why he was pushing everyone away. “That’s what I had thought too, but that was wrong.” Ricky hurt Finch first. In Quinn’s eyes, he was the one who threw away the friendship first, he just thought he could get away with it, which made it even worse. “So what if I am? I don’t care anymore, and you shouldn’t either.”
@benitz786 - Earthquake in your post maybe?
