Was he listening to any of the sht she was trying to get out? No. Why the actual fck would he? Why would he spend the next hour listening to her stupid little voice as she cried about Elio and her breaking up. Nope, that was not something that Ricky had planned for himself today. Honestly, he was this close to sneaking out of this stupid room. This fcking close.
This.
Fcking.
Close.
But damn it, Fin’s dad was going to kill him if he dtched again meaning… that couldn’t happen. But do you know what could happen, he could drink… and if he remembered correctly from the Detention Dragon talking earlier, the girl sitting near him was exactly the reason there was a nice little bottle locked up in front.
“-I never cheated on you.”
And then he really shut up. Did he believe the girl in front of him? God no - there was no chance of those words being true. He had asked her straight up, and she had agreed. Actually, she had a more pitiful response and said I’m sorry. Then, shortly after the break-up, she was seen hanging out with Elio. How shocking. It was, even more, shocking that she and Elio started dating.
So, with a roll of his eyes - he went through with his initial plan, walking towards the desk. Taking a seat on the teacher’s desk, Ricky leaned down putting in a code he had memorized from… so many days spent in detention. With the code, the locked desk opened and Ricky pulled out a lovely bottle. Taking a second to accidentally lock the front door and lower the blinds, he opened the bottle and took a long swing.
“What does it look like I’m doing, Lenora? If I’m going to have to sit hear and listen to this sht, I rather be wasted so I can’t remember your bullsht lies in a few hours.” And with that, he drank some more. “Honestly, I have to say, I’m actually kind of impressed that you brought this to school. What did Elio do? Fck you up so much that you’re an alcoholic now? Here’s a little tip - next time, pour it in a fcking water bottle.”
