As she should have expected, Lenora’s words did not go down well with Ricky - who was still missing the correct context she had been yearning to tell him. Of course nothing would go down well coming from the person he thinks cheated on him; not only did she not want to be associated as this anymore but she really wasn’t fond of hearing from Ricky the intimate- and false- details about how she did so. “I did not-” Lenora tried to interrupt Ricky’s storytelling, but her voice was immediately drowned out with him continuing. “Crazy right? …” She leaned into her chair with a sigh as he recited. This would be the first time she had heard his actual view on it, and how Ricky actually pictured her ‘cheating’. This was his view on her - and this was her first and final opportunity to change that.
“Ricky, I need to–” “Do me a fvcking favor, Lenora…” But Ricky was making that opportunity very difficult for her to take. “There’s something–” “Maybe I should even thank you…” Nope, Lenora was talking to a brick wall. A venting and insulting and accusing brick wall. “Can you just–” “You can’t trust your fcking friends…” Lenora’s interruptions had been receiving no acknowledgement from Ricky. Her eyes quickly switched over at the door which had been undisturbed by their teacher for perhaps far too long - she could use a disruption he would actually stop for. The longer Ricky went on the more so her urge and impatience to say what had been holding in all this time. This was happening, it was coming, she was saying it. “Enrique, I–” “–And fck the hell off for the next hour–” “–I never cheated on you.”
The silence that arrived harshly contrasted their arguing voices that once filled the room. Somehow with an entire explanation equipped, Lenora was still stuck on where to start. It wasn’t exactly something she had rehearsed recently - nor was this the way she had pictured telling him. “I didn’t,” She started, just in case he hadn’t heard that first time. “I didn’t- it wasn’t- my mom had a—” Though her words were quickly cut off by Ricky getting out of his chair, and walking… out? No, towards the desk. “What, what’s this, what are you doing?”
