If you had asked Logan what she expected to come of her and Alex before this, she wouldn’t have imagined this. They had seen each other in school, but they had never truly talked until one night at the bar. She poured him a drink and it all went from there. One night at the bar turned to friendship, even while Alex was gone, searching for his father. There was a short while when he brought her out with him, but she still had yet to find out the full story of what happened during the time he was gone.
Now, Logan found herself walking into a coffee shop after she got a message from Alex, who had finally come back to town. She gave a slight smile as she walked up to Alex. “Hey. I get it.” she said, understanding the situation before he pulled her into a booth to sit next to him. She knew he had a lot going on, and she was happy to be there for support. He said how it seemed pointless to have gone, especially with how the man had pretended to be Alex’s father. She could imagine what it was like, how much the secrets and lies hurt, and she hated that he was going through it. “A f^^king a^^hole, that’s who.” Logan knew he was upset, and she was upset about the whole situation for him too. She looked Alex in the eyes as he moved closer, asking for her to make him feel better. He didn’t have to say it. She closed the distance, a hand on his thigh, the other at the side of his head, bringing her lips to his. No strings, just taking his mind off of the situation, no questions asked.
