Blue Royalty: New Blood

After a few exchanges of the bottle, Lenora watched as Ricky advanced across to the teachers desk to refill it with water and then return it. While she made no comment nor showed any emotion towards his actions, she was admittedly glad he put it back - the last thing Lenora wanted right now was to be drunk, especially at school, but she knew that she wouldn’t have stopped if he had left it between them. If anything, it was probably a good thing it had been confiscated by the teacher in the first place, it wasn’t the best idea for any Foley to have in their possession. So, yes, continue to water it down, Ricky.

Within minutes, Ricky had returned everything back to the way it was, the teachers desk locked, the door unlocked, and the little attention he had given her had disappeared. Ricky sat back behind her as he expressed the need for silence, to which Lenora’s lack of response gave enough of an answer. Maybe that was it, he would never know, and maybe he didn’t need to know. Like he said himself, it was only a month left until school, and therefore her window of opportunity, was over.

𝄞 I thought about what I would say, but I’m two years too late

Travelling, even for school trips, was something that always appealed to Lenora. No, she wasn’t much of a skier - and by that it meant she had never done so before - but a weekend away to France was still something to be excited about. Though Lenora knew that the senior trips were the also renowned for becoming overly competitive in regards to the Blue Royalty game - as it was one of everyone’s last chance to rank higher. Lenora had become aware that the game wasn’t going well for her, and it scared her to think of how her life was going to pan out when the win she had relied on may not come. But she tried to avoid thinking of that, and instead hoped for something to somehow shift in her favour during the weekend.

Lenora stepped onto the plane, her ticket in hand to find her seat. While she had only been on planes a handful of times in her life, her main source of anxiety actually came from who she was going to end up sitting next to for the prolonged journey time. Especially when no other seat had been filled on the row she was assigned to. Although, her mind became at ease after sitting down and being joined by an overly familiar face. “Long time, no see, Jay,” She joked to her seatmate, alluding to their last interaction, as he sat beside her. She looked down at the camera bag he had over his shoulder. “Will you be skiing this weekend, or are you designated photographer?” She asked lightly. Though it wasn’t long after he began to answer when the rest of their row began to arrive.
