After an interesting visit to Vegas, with perhaps some unexpected rekindling, a ski trip to France seemed rather tame in comparison. Annie knew that the senior trips were renowned for creating rifts between relationships and in the Blue Royalty game - but it wasn’t much of a threat to her, she figured the game had affected her enough already. So for Annie, there was little anticipation nor nerves as she got on the plane and found her seat that was on her ticket. She looked across at other seats that had been taken - but not yet the seat next to her.
Annie would soon find herself wishing that seat stayed vacant, when an awfully familiar face walked past the taken seats looking for his own. There was no way. Except apparently there was, because Ricky Montoya stopped in his tracks when he reached her. “Wrong seat,” Annie told him, partially as a declaration - but also a slight plead- a question in hopes that her statement was true. When faced with no answer, Annie jolted up and swiped the ticket out of his hand. “Yeah, see, seat 34…” Then she leaned forward to the seat labels, hoping to not find exactly what she did; the same number. “… B. Okay, when I said wrong seat what I meant was plane,” Yeah, there was no way this was happening.
“No, you know, it’s fine,” Annie told him hurriedly, getting up out of her seat and looking again at surrounding people. “I can switch with someone, easy, you won’t even know the difference- Paige?” She raised her eyebrows, and maybe became slightly observant of his reaction, though quickly changed her attention to the name dropped. Though that idea seemed less appealing when she readjusted her focus to the person sat next to Paige, to which a grimace came by reflex. Now was not the time for that conversation.
No, now was not the time for this conversation, nor any conversation ever, with Ricky, who was still standing after Annie had blocked the way with hopes of finding someone to switch with. She then looked ahead at the person sat infront of them. “Hey Vero–” “Please can you take your seat, and fasten your seatbelt, we are about to take off,” Annie looked across at the flight attendant, who had just interrupted her best idea, waiting for her to move on so she could continue. After a brief staredown, Annie concluded the attendant would not be moving past, and defeatedly took her seat.
