Blue Royalty: New Blood

This… Clara and being forced to speak to her really, really wasn’t what Phoebe needed after her already eventful morning. Something she couldn’t talk about with anyone she knew, not even her sister who she’d go to the moment she found out something, the moment something happened because unfortunately, it was about her. But standing in front of this other girl Phoebe was subtly avoiding for a while now made her forget all about it. ”It was not just my fau-” It was not my fault. That’s what she would’ve said if Clara was just a person she didn’t know or someone she didn’t like. Don’t get me wrong, she didn’t like her but there was more to that story. There was always more to every story and this one, she did not like.

That smile she forced when she looked up at Clara was still on her lips, now trying to make it look more genuine. As if she meant every words she was about to say, ”I’m sorry. I was distracted by something and wasn’t paying attention to my surroundings. I promise it won’t happen again.” Phoebe fixed the bag over her shoulder, disgusted by herself and this fake attitude she had to put on. Whoever knew Phoebe knew that this was not something she would do. She wasn’t mean, no, but she wouldn’t pretend to like someone and not stand up for herself. Her gaze was stuck on the girl as she took a deep breath in, fighting every urge to just walk away from her and possibly worsen the situation. But… things were good so far so maybe it didn’t matter what she would do.

That didn’t stop her from keeping on that positive, friendly act. It’s best to make sure you’re safe. To avoid some negative attention from other students, now when she was on top of the list, Phoebe delicately put her hand under Clara’s arm making her start walking towards the school. ”What a good start to this morning, what do you say? I see you even got some time to stop for a coffee. I suppose that’s good, wakes you up and whatnot. You see, I never really was a coffee drinker. Tea is my go-to drink, Especially black tea, it’s a great alternative to coffee, as well as Pu-erh. Maybe you should give it a go? ” A pointless conversation as they walked together through the door, Phoebe making sure she had a bright smile on so no one would suspect a thing. That’s was until they got to lockers and there weren’t many people around. Phoebe slowly turned to Clara, her voice now becoming a whisper. ”I see you’re doing a good job at keeping your mouth shut and not spreading false information. I knew I could trust you,” with that she gently raised her hand up, in a friendly way fixing Clara’s shirt, still keeping a smile on.”Am I right? You’re doing a good job?” With that she looked up to meet her eyes, her smile faltering. It was her way of asking Clara, did you tell her?
