Blue Royalty: New Blood

A conscience, she said. He had a conscience, after all, even he had lines he wouldn’t cross. Sure, since his sister died, some of those lines had blurred, but he still knew there were things he wouldn’t do. Fine, Isabella was a bad idea, he could see that now. Perhaps he was willing to go further on certain things, but still only so far before there would be the lines he wouldn’t cross. But how could he give up on his sister, if she wasn’t even there? Finch wasn’t here to see what he was doing, so what did it matter anymore? It wouldn’t hurt Finch anymore, and the list of people that might care about what happened to him was growing shorted by the day. Quinn hardly cared what happened to him anymore. So why did it even matter?

Quinn expected that Amie’s lecture would go on longer, but things came to a sudden change. With a concerned look, Amie grabbed him by the hand as a subtle shaking began and pulled him into a closet and underneath a table. “I’m fine. I was taught the same stuff you were.” he grumbled. He grew up in Beryl, he’d been taught what to do in an earthquake, and he didn’t need Amie trying to be the hero and tell him what to do. Quinn was simply done with the whole night and done with being told how he should and shouldn’t act, but there was one thing that Amie was right about. They were best off staying put until the earthquake stopped.

Quinn kept his mouth shut, waiting for the earthquake to stop, but when the shaking came to an end he stood up and went to the door. However, instead of opening the door and leaving, he stopped, but not by his own choice. The door wouldn’t budge. “Why the f^^k won’t this open?” Quinn spent a moment with his focus on the door before he turned, bringing his gaze to the girl. Did she really have to pull him in there with her? He would’ve been just fine alone, and not stuck in a closet. Seriously, why did Quinn keep getting locked in small spaces with girls that don’t like him? “I don’t suppose you have any bright ideas to get us out of this, do you?”

”how many floors are there?”

Laurel looked back at her date with a smirk, only to make the gesture of zipping her mouth shut. That answer was one that would remain unanswered to anyone outside of the Parker family, though even Laurel doubted the answer she had heard was the actual answer. After all, her Uncle Dan did like to keep much of the hidden features within his house, top secret. Sure, one could count the floors they could see from outside, but that meant nothing when you take into account the underground levels and secret passages.

That being said, Laurel pulled her date into the elevator and looked to the numbers Raph said, selecting the 3rd floor. One could say it was the more tame option, though it also happened to be the option less likely to get her in trouble with her uncle, but in the Parker house that doesn’t necessarily mean much. When the elevator stopped, she brought Raph out a door to a terrace with the upper floor pool and a great view. “Why not take in the sights while we drink?” she said with a slight shrug, though her gaze said it for her, he was the view she’d be more interested in looking at.

”I could have told you to meet me at my place and wear a suit but that’s just comes out insanely sexual” she responded to him playfully as he said he wasn’t dressed appropriately for the occasion, subtly stopping him as he got up to leave. Though did he really think Veronica came to him without a fail proof plan? Honey, this isn’t amateur night.

”and don’t worry about that, I’m always one step ahead Williams” she told him and turned away I just happen to have a brand new designer suit just sitting here all alone” she said with a moderately theatrical tone to her voice ”so what do you say? Just this once?” she asked him with a small smile, hoping he’d go with it

It’s a long story

Weren’t they all? Weren’t all of their fcking stories long? Want to hear Paige’s? It involves being raised as someone’s fcking sister when she was actually their daughter and subsequently being lied to for her entire life. That, and more than a handful of people realizing that she wasn’t worth it - though, it was not like that news was new.

Paige didn’t have a chance to contemplate the… man’s question - however, the puzzle pieces in her mind were already piecing together. Honestly, it didn’t take a fcking genius to realize that the white…adult… man who was oddly worried about both Paige and Annie = possible biological dad. Despite any… curses that Paige wanted to say, her train of thought was caught off by Annie. “You’re not fcked, we’ll figure this out. Worst comes to worse, I’ll fcking text my genius hacker cousin and he’ll do something.” Paige responded, though her eye raised at the question of her going to the hospital. Look, Paige liked her cousin Jez and all… but new babies? And her? Yeah no - and clearly the look on her face at the moment told Annie everything she needed to know.

So there she was, watching her… twin sister leave and being left alone with a man she assumed screwed Anna Pierce almost two decades ago. Well, technically she was left with the Sperm Donor and a nervous idiot who should have fcking disappeared by now.

Turning back towards the two of them, there was honestly a list of things she could do streaming through her mind. Sure, she could yell at the man, scream, curse him out. Honestly, all sounded like things that would come easily for the girl. But instead, she found herself at a loss for words. Well, that was until she found herself pulling out a joint from her pocket and placing it in front of him. “So you don’t have any of the good sht, do you at least have a light?” She found herself bringing the joint to her mouth, waiting for the man to light it up for a mere second before continuing her words while the joint remained in her mouth You know what, forget it - it’s not like you gave me anything for the past 17 fcking years, I don’t really think I need anything else from you."

And with that, she pulled her own lighter out in front of him, took a long drag, and let the smoke fall from her lips before walking away and back towards Eddie’s car… which she had absolutely no intention of giving back to the man. Nope, sorry Eddie - Paige Pierce was going for a drive. And clearly, by the puppy dog following her towards the car, she wouldn’t be doing it alone.

@Littlefeets - I imagine her dad doesn’t want her high and driving alone

As frustrated as Amelia was only mere minutes ago, that feeling didn’t compare to the change in her emotions now. As she covered her head, reciting instructions from year after year of earthquake training in Beryl, only fear remained in her trembling voice. She truly wasn’t even listening to Quinn’s response to her words, she was just… saying it for herself. Using her knowledge was… honestly, the one thing giving her sanity. Amelia Taylor-DeLoughrey had always been known as a high-achieving problem-solver… but solving problems in situations of dire circumstance like this, well… that wasn’t her favorite. Okay fine, perhaps dire was an over-exaggeration. After all, the earthquake itself only lasted a few minutes. Those few minutes, however, were torture for Amelia.

Though, it seemed the universe wasn’t done with torturing Amelia just yet. As the shaking came to a stop, Amelia’s shaking didn’t. She found her body quivering as it had been during the shakes itself - and was glad that Quinn was far too distracted in himself to notice. With a couple of deep breaths… and breathing exercises she had learned over the years, she found her head moving toward the sounds of… someone else’s frustration. By that… she of course meant… well… the other issue at hand. Quinn Castillo was struggling with the door… that… was not good.

"“St…stop kidding around. We just went through an earthquake I don’t want to hear your jokes, Quinn,” Amelia muttered quietly before going towards the door, pushing him aside as she tried the door herself. Obviously, Quinn was pushing when the door was a pull right? Right? That had to be it. That was the only explanation because she could not… be locked in here. In a room that was barely a storage closet. In a room that would lose oxygen faster than… a fish tank. OR… something that loses oxygen quickly who knows - analogies weren’t really making since when AMELIA COULD BEARLY BREATHE BECAUSE THE DOOR WASN’T OPENING AND SHE TRIED BOTH PULLING AND PUSHING THE DOOR.

"“No…no no no…no… nope… no this can’t be happening… nope no… I don’t… agree with this… nope no… SOMEONE OPEN THIS DOOR PLEASE. HELLO. HELP PLEASE.” Amie started, frantically screaming and slamming her fist against the door until her lungs hurt. It was only after a few moments that she found herself crouching towards the ground - tears brimming her eyes as she cradled herself in a ball. No… this couldn’t… nope… why was this happening to her. Everytime she looked at the small room they were in, she found the walls closing in and her heart rate spiking - so instead, she attempted to just look at her knees. "“Fuck…fck…sht…fck… this can’t… is it getting hot in here… it’s getting… I can’t breathe,” Amie mumbled incoherently as the realization finally sank in. She was stuck… in a small room… with no way out. And for the second time, she begin shaking uncontrollably as the panic set in. Yep… Amelia was having a panic attack… fck. fck… Fck. It was 200% getting hotter in the room by the second. Fck.

Lenora gave a small smile, but the slightest nod of her head when he disputed her ideas of her being a slut. While his words comforted they could not compare to the hundreds… thousands(?) of people saying otherwise. “Thank you,” She replied shortly despite her disbeliefs. After taking the shot, her eyes scanned around to see if Elio was around. Or, more so, to check that he wasn’t around. When concluding he was out of sight, he became out of mind, and she was just looking at JP. “You know, sometimes I think that we–”

But her words were cut off when the floor started to shake. Like, literally. So did the tables, and the chairs, the glasses, the chandeliers. It couldn’t have been her imagination because everyone around her could feel and hear it too. “… Jay?” Lenora began looking up at him, if he can feel it too then it was real. Her steps she took were slow and careful as if the slightest movement out of place would cause a collapse. Which, wasn’t far from the truth, when glasses were shattering at every corner, and people were falling into each other.

Justin’s hand was on the door, he was even turning the doorknob, he had almost gotten out. Okay, going to Senior Prom wasn’t that bad. In fact, if he knew why he of all people were being recruited by her, he would probably be more than okay with it. “Because telling me to meet me at your place to ask me to be your date to prom was completely normal,” He told her in the same playful tone while she stood beside the door to indicate he needed to stay. Clearly this was important to her. Well now it would just be rude to say no.

His eyebrows raised at the suit Veronica brought to his attention. “Okay. Only if it’s the right size,” He told her, because, surely not - right? “And, let me guess, the limo is parked outside too?” He joked. But then wait,… is it? Justin’s head jerked towards the window to reveal his words to actually be true. “How did you do that?” He asked in surprise, as if she didn’t just have good preparation and timing on her side and somehow materialised both a suit and limousine from thin air. “Didn’t realise I was in the presence of some Fairy Godmother-sh|t right here.”

Not to brag but Fin’s been with many different girls, some of them acted in the similar way Halston did, they were so confident that once he gets a taste of them he will want more and maybe those girls were his favorite but they were all always wrong… Or just mixed their words up - once they got a taste of him they will want more. Sounds better? Of course it does, that was the truth after all. The most possible outcome. But who was he to ruin her fun? If that’s what she wanted to believe in let it be - let her think she’s special and not like other girls, let her believe she wants this to be a one-night thing and hope he’s the one to wish things were different. You’re wasting your time dear but at least Fin sees some fun in that and he’s not going to waste his time arguing about it with her so instead of answering her, trying to prove her wrong he simply smirked, looking away from the girl before arriving to their not final destination.

Do you know what is hot in Fin’s book of hot things girls do? Everything that came to your mind is probably a yes but we’ll focus on this one thing - girls who can really drink with you and not get drunk. Rare, I know but who cares. It’s always fun to see who can do better (Fin of course) and then say “I was right. I told you so”. Just don’t judge him for thinking this was all fake (as it usually is), for thinking this mysterious girl was faking it all (we’ll ignore the fact that her punch was actually good) and after just one shot she won’t be so… Well… She won’t be… What was the word?
Nevermind, Fin doesn’t think like that.

”Are you sure you want to bet? I mean,” a light shrug of his shoulders, hiding his smile with a glass he emptied in a second. ”I don’t lose, I’m not going to let you win no matter how much you bat your eyelashes at me. But if you’re so sure of yourself…” Another shot down, his hand gently moving over her back. ”There’s one rule… I’m not going to tell you what I get if I win and you’re not going to tell me what you want. Sounds good? Are we going to live on the wild side tonight or is trying to outdrink me already too much for you?” Now resting his hand on the side of her neck, his thumb moving over her jaw, his eyes stayed on hers trying to hide a smile that was playing on his lips… No way she’s going to agree but oh how sweet that would be.

“Please tell me you can dance.”
Now the only fair thing to do would be to also do something she wants and of course that would be to dance. How does Finley feel about that? It’s a difficult question but no way is he going to say no to dancing with a gorgeous girl. Lightly shaking his in a this is what I should’ve expected to happen way, the same old expression still on his face, he took off his suit leaving it on the bar and started making his way towards Halston. ”What if I said no?” As soon as she was close enough to reach, Fin rested his hands on her hips, low enough to be appropriate but still teasing. ”Or would you prefer if I said I’m really good at it?.. Even if it’s not the kind of dancing I prefer.” Before giving her a chance to react, Fin turned her around in one swift motion, pulling her back toward him, his lips barely touching her neck as he continued talking. ”And tell me Halston… How’s our bet going?”

”If they don’t agree?” A chuckle escaped Phoebe’s lips as she shook her head, watching Diego with almost a sad expression on her face. She gently lowered her hands to his shoulders, for a moment playing with the collar of his shirt, looking down at that motion. There was nothing they had to agree with… As much as she was trying to figure out what was going through his mind she couldn’t really understand how that was something he was thinking about. ”Diego,” she slowly started bringing her gaze up to meet his. ”Family is family, blood or not. Unless someone really… Like really, really, reeeeeally f*cks up nothing is going to change that.” A soft smile met her lips as she slightly leaned forward as if that, being closer to him, was going to make him understand her better. Was she really supposed to expect him to understand and actually think about what she was trying to tell him? No. If she was in this situation she wouldn’t be listening to anything anyone was saying for a few days at least but there was not much she could do. She was trying her best to make this just slightly… Easier.

”And what are you supposed to do now? Huh? Let’s see…” Straightening back up, Phoebe looked around them as if she was thinking hard about his question which was… Okay, she wasn’t going to judge him in this situation so let’s not comment on that… The answer was just obvious. ”There is this really hooot girl in school and I think you know her. You like to,” trying to keep things light she started, letting her hand almost spontaneously move up so now she was playing with his hair, ”make a fool out of yourself around her and she kind of finds it cute and really funny. You also like to surf in the mornings when there is nothing to do. You’re trying to bring your family back together… Ricky and… You know what I mean so there… There we go, that’s what you should do now. You should just keep doing what you’ve been doing up until now because as I said, you are still you.” A sad smile spread across her lips. ”But just talk to your parents, you’ll figure it out. Sooner or later you should find out about things like that and unfortunately that happens to be now.” With a sigh she stopped talking for a second only then noticing what she’d been doing all along which made her pull her hand back to his shoulder and in order to hide her confusion with her little action she shook his shoulders and put on a playful smile. ”And you know what else? I heard Veronica is hosting an afterparty… I hope you know that’s not something we should miss? What do you say? Just an hour to get you to think about something else before we have to get back to reality and face our problems?”

What was Katherine doing? No… What was Katherine doing with a guy she saw like… Once before when he got her in some trouble? She had no idea, but what she did know is that she was having fun. Yes, breaking in was fun, especially with a said guy who was soooooo cute. Who cares if she gets in some kind of trouble again and then has to run for her life, again. It’s not like this was something she’d never done before. Sure, trying to pick the lock was a first for her but there was probably something worse she’d done at one point in her short life. Yes, this was the first time she was the one trying to open someone’s door and no, she was not really good at it. Turning the knob won’t make the door magically unlock on it’s own but you could forgive her for thinking that now, right? She’s tryyyyying. Do you really expect such an innocent girl to know how to actually do it? No. That’s what I thought.

And it seemed like her new friend didn’t mind that seeing he was just… Staring at her for a moment making her completely forget where she was and what she was doing, especially when he started moving closer to her and - was he going to… No. Nope. Stop thinking about that Katherine. Instead of experiencing that magical moment when two people stare at each other and then one ends up pinning the other against the door, Katherine just stood there quietly staring at Kaspian as he grabbed two bobby pins from her hair. She didn’t even realize she was holding her breath in before he placed those bobby pins in her hands, pulling her back to reality and leaving her confused for a moment. ”Wha-” she was ready to protest until he moved behind her, closing any space that there was between them and placed his hands on top of hers. Okay, maybe this was better than what she was imagining just seconds ago. What was he saying? Well, Katherine had noooo idea, she was just staring at his hands, smiling to herself all until she heard the click and he was no longer behind her. Sigh.

So, the door was open and they could finally walk in. Was there someone inside? Maybe? Who knows? At this point Katherine completely forgot they were breaking in and this wasn’t her house, it wasn’t his… She even forgot about the milkshake!! She was just focused on the boy in front of her, focused on the way he placed a code into the alarm to unarm it, focused on how casually he was walking in front of her towards the kitchen, on the way he said her last name again and asked her if she wanted - ”Milkshake! Yesss…” She chuckled, taking a seat on of the chairs.

”Fan favorite is really chocolate? No way… That’s so basic. Do you know what should be a fan favorite? Listen here,” she stopped for a second lifting her finger up as if somehow that will get him to pay more attention to her, plus it was a good little dramatic moment. After all she had aaaa lot to say now, some really important stuff. ”I call it… Katherine’s special or… Something like that and NO I DID NOT just make that up, I,” her hand flew to her mouth to stop herself from giggling as she got down from the chair and leaned back against the kitchen island. ”Vanilla because vanilla is superior. A bit of white chocolate and caramel but here’s the good part - one and a half scoops of Ben and Jerry’s netflix and chill on top… topped with more caramel. It’s extra I know!” She lifted her arms up in defense giving him an innocent smile before crossing her arms over her chest. ”Doesn’t really sound like a milkshake but it’s good and I think I want that now. Can you make that for me Mister Scary stranger?” A corner of her mouth curled up, fluttering her lashes as if that would somehow make him say yes, of course, anything for you. Isn’t that how girls usually get what they want? Katherine reallllly wanted a milkshake right now, alright?

Parties are supposed to be fun. That’s why Embry usually loved parties. However, the events that had led up to her arriving at the prom after-party had put a serious damper on her mood, which is how she found herself standing in a corner, staring at an untouched drink that she was holding in her hand. Her conversation with Daiane at the prom had been left unfinished and not having a resolution was eating at her.

Having lost its appeal, she set her beverage down on a table and began to wander through the party. She smiled and waved to anyone she happened to come across, occasionally engaging in small talk. Eventually, she found herself outside, near the pool. She looked around, seeing if there was maybe somewhere she could sit for a minute or even somewhere she could take some pictures but what she actually found was Daiane and Hera. She froze, thinking that any movement would give her away and knowing that this was not a moment she wanted to be caught witnessing. She was too far away to hear anything but she watched as the conversation reached an apparent climax. When Hera finally left, Embry waited a few minutes before approaching the now-alone Daiane.

“Dai,” She started as she got closer to the girl. She moved slowly when she initially approached her. “We need to talk and it can’t wait anymore.” Her voice changed now. It was firm, letting Daiane know that she wouldn’t be taking no for an answer. “Please.” Her tone softened as she said this, looking at the other girl with pleading eyes.

Prom… It sure was eventful. No, not much has happened to Zek but he can’t say the same about his friends who were once again targeted in a new post no one was looking forward to on this kind of special day. Right? It’s a special day! Cmon, prom was supposed to be fun and… Fun! It’s a party and everyone loves parties, Zek can tell you that. Nothing better than that. Raise your hand if you agree! Yes, see? He’s right. But let’s rewind a little bit, forget about people being adopted and accused of being murderers and whatnot, forget about the earthquake and go back to the very beginning of the day.

Isn’t it amazing when you get to spend a few days start living with your best friend in their house? Not to mention how cool it is when their dad is like one of your biggest heroes because he’s just dope like that? Zek could tell you a few things about that - Kaya’s been a friend of his for a whiiiiile now and as much as he loves her he also loves to annoy her, so yes maybe she did make a mistake by saying yes when he asked if he could spend a few days with her and her dad because now he’s not giving her any personal space and alone time at all. No, there is no time to sleep, let’s watch movies or play music! Let’s go eat, spend a few hours in Target or 1 dollar store because why not? I’m being too much? Well, tooooo bad, we’re going on a late-night drive and we’re gonna listen to some sh!tty bands and get the lyrics wrong because ours are better. I have this idea for a new song, wanna help me? OR BETTER… wanna annoy Andy. Oh man, how much he loved to be a problem to that man… but he knows he loves him.
Now how did Zek end up in this situation? It’s a story for another time, right now all he can tell you is that he felt super awkward walking up to Kaya in the school hallway, a big bag over his shoulder with a bunch of his stuff in it, for the first time in a while with a serious expression saying ”Can you help me?“

”It’s kind of…“ A nervous laugh leaving his lips as he adjusted the hood covering half his face, glancing around at people passing them by. ”Come here.“ Gently taking her hand in his, Zek made sure to keep a soft smile on his lips, leading the girl out of their school even if the bell was ringing. ”How did you get here? Did you drive? Can I leave my bag in your car?“ No, he wasn’t really giving her a chance to actually reply to any of his questions, he was just holding her hand while looking around the place in hopes to find her car, not shutting his mouth. ”What I want is kind of funny. What do youuuuu sayyyyy… About having a new roommate? And who better than me? HUH? Huh? Sounds fun doesn’t it?“ Trying to keep the situation light, by this point he had a goofy smile on his face, swinging his bag back and forth. ”No… But for real… I wouldn’t be asking if I really didn’t need a place. Do you have a room you could spare?“

Yeah… He kind of was going through something, can’t you tell? Why else would he bleach his hair? For fun? Sure, okay, there was some truth in that too. A new look for prom, it’s not just girls who get to leave a big impression. Zek wants that  Talking about prom - who else to ask but Kaya? It will always be more fun going to such things with someone you’re close with, a best friend, it was just strange because they are in the same house now. On the other hand it also made it fun, the whole getting ready together part. Or just partially… As much as he was bored waiting for Kaya he wanted to let her have her space just this one time… Which didn’t last for more than 15 minutes but that’s fine, just ask her. She’ll say it’s fine!!
At least he got time to step out of the house and pretend he was picking her up by knocking on the door, waiting for a parent to open it, wait for his date to come down the stairs like in those cheesy romance movies. It was the least he could do to make everything feel more promy.

You know, you’re the sun, I have never seen the sun so close

Luna’s comparison of Athena and the sun puzzled them. While it was true that the sun was their favourite colour, Athena often associated the sun with happiness. Happiness was not something that Athena would associate themself with and so Luna’s connection was confusing. However, they could think about it another time. Right now, they would much rather focus on how Luna’s touch felt on their skin. “If I’m the sun, then you’re the moon. Wǒ de yuè liang.” They told her, looking into their eyes with a soft smile.

Athena was in the middle of getting dressed when they heard Luna say their name. They turned around, blushing as soon as they saw her. They blushed because she was stunning. They also blushed because they were starting to fully remember what transpired the night before and what they had said. She said their name like a question and so they responded with: “Yep.” They decided not to address the elephant in the room to avoid making things awkward. “Morning.” They added, smiling at her.

Leon smiled as Hyun-Ae admitted her lack of attention toward people. “Books and people aren’t that different.” He commented in response. “It’s just about reading in between the lines. Noticing things in small gestures or changes of expression.” He added with a shrug, trying to subtly allude to the fact that he was just as much of a reader as she was, yet he considered himself to be great with people. He playfully rolled his eyes when she confirmed his suspicion. He heard her out, listening to her concerns. “Look, I’m sure that once Niko is ready for you to meet her, they’ll tell you if there’s anything you should or shouldn’t do.” He reassured her. As much as her concerns were genuine, they seemed too future-focused for someone on their first date. Though he couldn’t help but chuckle when she outright admitted to being anxious because she was right - it was painfully obvious. In the way she stood as well as the way she spoke. “That’s how you know your feelings are real.” He told her before he was reminded of the last time he felt that way and his smile turned bittersweet.

Hyun-Ae slowly nodded at Leon’s comment. “Yeah, I guess you’re right. People are kinda like books. Some are easy to read, and others aren’t.” She said, exhaling. “Yeah, I’m sure they’ll tell me what she likes and doesn’t like. I’m actually really excited. Mostly nervous, though, but I’ll be ok.” Hyun-Ae gave her cousin a reassuring smile, also to reassure herself. When he chuckled, she blushed, only blushing harder when he said that that was how she knew her feelings were real. “Well, that’s a good thing. Hey, I’m going to go get a drink. Do you want something?” Hyun-As definitely wasn’t a drinker, mainly because she was underage, but she could use a drink to help calm herself down.

“Morning…” Luna said when she had finally registered what had happened.

OK so recap from Luna’s memories:

Luna and Athena went to prom together, Luna and Athena get drunk, Luna and Athena go to Jacuzzi, Luna and Athena start doing cough cough intimate stuff, Luna and Athena go to a bedroom, Luna and Athena start talking, Luna and Athena f*ck, Luna and Athena fck- you know body on body, hands on hands, legs around legs- fcking, ~seks~ and Luna didn’t think it was the ordinary casual type of sex based on the little words she remembered telling Athena. Luna’s pale cheeks flushed red as she thought of what she had said to Athena. Her red cheeks turned to a tomato shade as she realized she was nude. She put her arms around her body to have some form of decency but she sighed and put her hands down when she realized that it wasn’t going to do anything. “So ummmm how are you?” Luna asked shyly as she put on her top.

Hal couldn’t stop staring at the man if she wanted to. Maybe she was supposed to hate him, but gosh dang he was gorgeous. The way his jaw moved every time he talked, every time he smirked. She wanted to smack that smirk right off his face, but all she could do was stare.

“Do I want to bet? Damn sure I do,” she smiled. Reaching for another shot and downing it. Burning. “Oh baby I could beat you in a lot of things without having to bat my pretty eyes as you say” As she said that, his hand reached onto her back. If he continued to touch her like this, she may just have to show him who was in control right now. Oh, a rule? Not telling each other what they would win if they so happened to win? Of course Hal would win, she had a plan. There was most definitely a possibility of him outdrinking her, he weighed a lot more than she did and well, look at him, he was a guy that constantly went to parties. Not to say she didn’t drink frequently to try and… blur out memories, but it was Fin.

”You know I love the wild side” she smirked at him. ”Let’s do it Finny” she smiled at him, attempting to ignore the callused hand that now rested on her jaw. God, men. Men knew exactly how to do it and it was so hard to resist. ”But I hope you know, I will win. With that, she took another shot, downing it like it was nothing. What was that now? 6? Finally, she grabbed the hand that once touched her jaw, pulling him towards the dance floor.

”I hope you know I don’t take no for an answer” Trying to club dance was a little hard with a prom dress on, but it was just long enough that it didn’t drag along the floor. Might be a little embarrassing if she ended up on the floor. Not so sexy then. Pulling her in, his hands finally rested on her hips. His fingers reached towards the back of her, not her hips. Scandalous Fin, but these tricks won’t work, as much as she wanted them to. If it was any other guy they probably would be in the back of Hal’s car by now, but this boy?

”I think we all know what kind of dancing Fin Wolf likes, but this type? I don’t have much confidence in ya Finny.” She chuckled before he spun her around. Okay maybe he was good at dancing. Within seconds his lips were along her neck, sending a cold front down her spine. His breath smelt of vodka, whilst the damp and sweaty air around them lingered. Suddenly everything in the room disappeared for a second and all she could think about was him. How his breath felt on her neck as he began to speak, but still slowly moving them as they turned and spun on the dance floor. How he gripped her hips tighter when they spun to ensure she wouldn’t be let go from his grasp. ”Marvelous. Are you feeling tipsy already? Now now don’t worry, we can get you some water.” She patted his back with the hand that had been resting there like a mother nurturing a child. ”I did finish my shots though, let me get some more. I’ll surprise ya.” She released him from her grip, smiling lightly at him as she walked a little farther from him. When she was far away enough for him to see the back of her, she began to sway her hips just a little more.
The objective was for her to get the bartender to put water in her shots, vodka in his. He wouldn’t be able to tell the difference, especially if Hal could down them fast enough. Make another bet, who could finish the shots fast enough. Once the bartender set them out for her she thanked him, carrying them back to their small dark stained table they had chosen when they were let in.

”How about another bet, or may I say a challenge? If you finish the shots faster than me, i’ll let you have a little taste.” She cocked her head a little bit, urging him on. There’s no way he would say no to this, it was clear he was desperate.

Jezebel loved her husband, she truly did. She had been in love with him for so many years, but the man she had been faced with for the past few weeks, the man who had given her divorce papers hours earlier, that was a different story. A man who didn’t trust her, who acted unlike the person she married. His memory was gone, and there was so much left missing, but even when the truth was in front of him he didn’t accept it, he didn’t accept her, or their children. He had been like a stranger, making her feel worthless.

How was she supposed to handle that and be there for 3 newborns? How was she even supposed to handle having 3 newborns like this to begin with? Her girls were with her, but her son… Her son wasn’t here with her, with his sisters, where he was supposed to be. Her baby boy was in critical condition and that made everything hurt more. When the nurse told her that later on she could be brought to see her son she nodded slightly. She wanted to see him right then, to know how he was doing, but she also wanted to see her girls, who needed her to be present for them too. ”I just… I want to be alone with them for now.”

The nurse left the room, but Jordan stayed, and his words… his words were like she had begun to think she’d never hear again. The way he spoke, it was like the Jordan she had known since she was a child, the Jordan she loved. Though, it only made her more unsure. The part that caught her attention the most however, was when he referred to their girls and their son. Not just her kids, but theirs, together. For weeks he refused to believe they were his, to treat them like his own flesh and blood. Now, here he was saying all the words she wanted to hear. She could see the way he looked at the girls, with love and admiration, the way she knew he felt towards the babies from the moment he first knew she was pregnant.

His words, his apology, it was everything she had wished for, but as much as she wanted to forgive him and forget everything that happened, she couldn’t. She loved him, but she couldn’t just forget the way he treated her. She spent her entire childhood treated like she was worthless, like she was only a problem in their lives, by the people she wanted to love her the most. Without his memory, that’s how he had made her feel, like she was still the same girl who would never be worth it, never good enough and always the problem. He knew how he treated her, he knew her well enough to know how it made her feel.

She didn’t know what to say. She didn’t know how to feel. She wanted to tell him how much she loved him, but even looking at him was still painful. ”I thought I knew you…” was all she could say to start. She didn’t know what to do. Everything was a mess. Her mind was a complete mess, and she was being pulled in every different direction. She just knew she didn’t feel like she knew him like she thought she did. ”You gave me divorce papers… You thought I was lying about them.” she added, referring to their girls in her arms, and their son she had yet to meet. ”I thought we lost you when you were in the hospital, but then you woke up… and we still lost you… you didn’t want anything to do with me, us… like I meant nothing to you…” How was she supposed to be sure this was real? How was she supposed to know he really wanted this life with her, that he wouldn’t go back to the life he had years ago, the life his lack of memory had taken him back to. How could she be sure that she wouldn’t have the rug pulled out from under her again? She married the love of her life, the father of her children, but then she lost him, what would stop it from happening again?

She loved him so much, but she was still hurting. Only 2 other people in her life had ever made her feel the way he had made her feel over the past few weeks. One being Daniel, when he first found out they were related, and her mother. Maybe if her mind was clearer, she would have known what to say, how to feel, but she was too torn. She wanted to forgive him, but she was too scared that everything was about to be ripped away from her.

She didn’t know what to say next, but Jordan didn’t have much chance to respond either, as Annie came into the room soon after. ”Annie…” she said, surprised by her showing up. Annie may have been the one who caused the accident in the first place, but Jezebel didn’t hold it against her. Accidents happen. If anything, Jezebel thought Annie hated her. There was just so much going on with the dynamic. Annie was a Pierce, making her family even without taking Jordan into account, and she was Jordan’s daughter, making her Jezebel’s step-daughter. Jezebel didn’t expect to ever be viewed as a mother figure by Jordan’s kids with Sadie, but she wanted to look out for them, to be there for them as if they were her own. ”We’re holding up. These are your sisters, and their brother, your brother, we’re waiting to find out how he’s doing.” Jezebel answered, then looked to both Annie and Jordan. ”If you want to, you can come meet them.” she added, but paused before saying, ”But I think you want to talk to your dad.”

In a way, both Annie and Jezebel knew how the other felt to an extent. Their relationships with Jordan were what he had forgotten. Jordan remembering makes such a difference in their lives, and for Annie, perhaps it was simpler. For her, she just needed her dad back. While for Jezebel, there was so much more. Years of heartache, long buried pain, trauma from their youth, the babies and what they need, it all played a factor. Jezebel just needed to sort out how she felt, and maybe it would be easier with a little less on her mind, less worry about her son, and less fear.

Everything Phoebe had said, he agreed with. His mind was just spinning. There was a part of his mind spiraling into worst case scenarios. He had been through this with Ricky, desperately trying to get him to understand that blood or not they would always be brothers. Why should it be different with him now that the tables were turned? His parents were still his parents, Isabella was still his sister, Raph was still his brother, and Ricky, whether he saw it that way or not, would still be his brother too. Ricky found out he was different, and stopped seeing himself as one of them, and a part of Diego couldn’t keep himself from questioning whether Ricky would be the only one who would see him as different from the family. He was trying to believe Phoebe’s words, but it was hard to quiet the voice in his head telling him otherwise.

He couldn’t seem to snap out of it. His world had been knocked off its axis. It would take time to figure out how to go on, but for now, Phoebe was doing her best to lighten things up. Her hands were at his shoulders, playing with his collar, before a hand moved to play with his hair as she spoke. For once, he wasn’t overthinking things when it came to her. It was just the moment, even if it was overshadowed by Diego’s family situation. She told him what she saw about him, who he was and still is. He just needed to talk to his parents. He had to find out the story from them, even if he would have expected to find out about this when it came out that Ricky was adopted.

It was then that she returned her hand to his shoulder, to then lightly shake his shoulders with a smile and bring up the idea of a party. VC was hosting a party, and Phoebe suggested that they go. An hour, a chance to turn off their minds for a bit and ignore their problems for a while. Reality would still be there after going to the party. For a second, Diego questioned the idea in his head, but gave a slight nod before standing up. “Let’s go, we shouldn’t miss it. An hour there will be good.” he said, in part to reassure himself that it was a good idea. A change of pace would be good, a distraction, even if it didn’t help, it would at least be an hour away from reality. “Thank you, Phoebe.” he added. He still didn’t feel like himself necessarily, but he was at least slightly better than he had been when they got there, and that was thanks to her.

Oh, isn’t Halston being just so smart? They all know what he likes? If you say so, dear. Sure, maybe he’s known for certain things, they all have a similar opinion of him but does anyone really know him? Let’s… Not get into that boring stuff right now, or… Like, ever. He’s in a club with a girl who is by the way gorgeous and for some reason she’s so hard to get. Hasn’t anyone told you guys don’t really like that? It is all fun and games in the very beginning but Fin has been with her for such a long time by now and she’s still acting like he’ll never get her. If someone else was in his shoes now they would probably find another pretty little thing to bother but Fin is kind of determined to prove this one wrong… And he knows he will. Being stubborn will pay off, just you wait.

But maybe, just maybe he should change something in this situation. If she can pretend she really doesn’t want him right now he can play nice and make her wish he was doing things the way he was when they first started talking. Has anyone seen nice Fin before? That’s a hard question but Hal, darling, you’ll get that privilege. ”Me? Tipsy? Maybe just a little so that water sounds amazing right now,” with that he loosened his grip around her, ”Or I could use another drink, whatever you think is better.” A soft, almost innocent smile met his lips, trying as hard as he could to keep his eyes on hers and not to give in to temptation to make any comments as she began walking away from him. He can still do that in his mind - enjoy the very beautiful view. Alright, maybe he’s been thinking a little too much about how beautiful she actually is but that’s not too alarming. It’ll pass in the morning, as soon as he gets what he wants.

The moment she was out of his sight his hands flew to the collar of his shirt, fixing it before unbuttoning two top buttons. Yes, he did scan the place next and everyone who was around him, what if there was someone he knew? No, what if there was a girl he hooked up with before and she saw him with someone else here? Ah, wouldn’t that double the fun? No… No, he’s going to focus on this - seeing Halston was going to the table they picked when they were let in instead of back to where they were dancing, he followed her, keeping his sweet smile on. ”Taking care of me in the best way I see,” he added calmly, inspecting the glass she gave to him. Same thing? Alright, that’s what we’re doing and… Oh, another challenge? ”If I do this you do that, huh? I didn’t know that’s the kind of game you like to play. No.” Shrugging his shoulders he put the shot glass down for a moment to cross his arms over the table and look at her as if he wasn’t so encouraged by her saying I’ll let you have a little taste. ”I can finish it before you, I know that and I’m sure you know that so it’s not fair, is it now?” Raising his brow, a subtle smirk appeared on his face as he finally lifted the glass back up. ”But we can still compete,” and with that he downed the drink not giving her a moment to process what he said. Cheating? No.

Does that mean he wasn’t expecting her to do anything because he said it wouldn’t be fair? Yes, but if she was to do something… he wouldn’t mind… ”Sht.” In an attempt to put the glass down on the table he actually missed it, letting it fall to the ground and break. Immediately he took a step back and laughed to himself. That was just an incident, okay? OKAY? No, he wasn’t getting drunk… He was already drunk, way before they got to the club but shhhh don’t tell her that. Felling like that is normal to him so he learned how to behave and seem completely normal. Or as normal as he could be. ”Anyway…” Pushing the glass under the table with his leg because who tf was gonna clean that now, he brought his gaze back up to her still trying to have the most innocent smile on his lips. ”A little taste? What exactly were you talking about?”
