Blue Royalty: New Blood

Laurel smirked when the girl said potentially. Though, she could agree with her saying that it was hard to tell from sitting in a plane. It’s hard to get a good judge on the way something, or someone, looks in a situation like this. “I guess you’ll just have to get a better look later, and tell me if you see.” she said, pausing for just a moment. “Clearly you’ve heard about me, but I haven’t heard anything about you. So, mystery girl, who are you and what should I want to know about you?”

Nothing can go wrong when you’re on your way to France. That’s true if you’re not Fin and you don’t get a seat next to Amelia on that same plane flying to France. Just having to sit next to that girl for so many hours should be enough but Fin should’ve know better. When was he ever safe around that girl? There was one ti- no, the answer was never. But being smart as he obviously is, he had other options. Yes, he could ask someone to switch seats with him, that was his best option but then if he wanted to be even smarter he’d have to wait for everyone to take their seats so he could decide who he wants to move. Of course the answer to that is - whoever was sitting next to Hal but the problem, for now, is that he couldn’t find her anywhere. Deciding to board the plane last, how very lucky Fin is. Those were Fin’s thoughts once he took his original seat but what happened before that? Here we go.

Happy. Fin was happy walking around the airport with his friends, maybe some drinks were already in his system but that’s not something we’re gonna talk about now. Who wouldn’t be happy about going on a ski trip? It would’ve been better if it wasn’t a school trip but it was still a trip. He’ll avoid everyone and remain happy, that was the plan… After they land because obviously, he had to sit for 12 hours around people he probably didn’t like. That was the worst part about this whole thing, not knowing who he would be sitting next to. There were just waaaay… Waaaay too many bad options, but we can all guess who he’d like to stay away from. Yes, the same girl he ended up next to.

With his backpack in his hand he was standing right next to her, annoyance was written all over his face as he just looked down at the girl who seemed to be enjoying herself with her headphones and sleeping mask on. For a moment that’s all he did… he was just standing there, regretting ever coming on this trip… But the good this was that she didn’t see him. Maybe she wouldn’t take that thing off her face and he’ll get some peace before finding someone to switch seats with. Yes… That’s… Fin could only hope. So not trying to cause any problems right away, he took his seat, placing his bag down since he was going to move at some point, leaning back in his seat and watching everyone around him.

Alright, let’s see… Halston was still not here. GREAT, Quinn was next to Amie… Who- who were these people on his other side? Behind- oh great, JP. New girl in front. Excuse me… Where are his friends? What is this? It seems like Fin was too focused on hating his lift at the moment that he didn’t notice Amie moving around at the worst time because as he lifted his hand to drink water, Amelia slapped him. Okay, maybe that’s not what happened but it felt like that. For whatever reason, she was waving her hands around accidentally pushing his, making him spill water all over himself. Should he even be surprised at this point? You’d think he’d get used to that by now but no… As he just kept staring forward, his hand mid-air, it was obvious he was once again annoyed by something Amelia had done. And he definitely didn’t want to, once again, listen to her apologizing. Can he bet with someone that she was doing all of this on purpose?

”Just…” Fin started, slowly putting whatever was left of his water away, refusing to look in Amie’s direction. ”Shut up.” It was water, he shouldn’t be that pissed… But cmon, it’s Fin. And Amie. He can be pissed as much as he wants it. ”Can you tell me what’s wrong with you? Because there obviously is something wrong,” not moving, now only glancing at her, he continued. ”What’s your problem- No, let me tell you what your problem is-” Should Amie be happy Fin was interrupted at that moment? Probably… Yes… Yes, she should be. God knows what would’ve left his mouth if he got the chance to take out his anger on her. ”Thanks,” was the only thing he ended up saying at that moment, grabbing some napkins from a flight attendant that saved the day. A woman that then refused to let him get up because apparently they were almost ready for take-off and he should remain seated. ”No, you don’t understa- No, I’m not staying here- Do you want me to complain to someone- Oh, there’s no need for that? How so?”

Embry softly laughed at Hera’s comment. “Well, for what it’s worth, I don’t think it was embarrassing. A pain in my ass at times, yes, but it was also sweet.” She told them with a reassuring smile. Then they told her that, despite not being a role model of ‘gangster sh-t’, she was pretty cool. “Thanks, I guess?” She responded, holding back another laugh as she looked at them, unsure of how to properly respond. “I’m way better here than I was in England, though. The staff at my school hated me because they never had enough proof to get me in trouble.”

“I also f-cked off to America before the start of year 10, leaving a trail of broken hearts in my wake.” She added, clearly exaggerating the ‘broken hearts’ part but there was truth to what she was saying. A girl, who she had inevitably abandoned when her parents had uprooted their family, moving them across oceans and timezones. That girl was gone but certainly not forgotten, keeping a place in Embry’s mind and her heart, even after all these years.

She adjusted in her seat, making herself more comfortable. She also pulled a purple satin scrunchie out of her bag, piling her hair on top of her head and tieing it off with the scrunchie. “Have you ever been to France before?” She asked them in an attempt to prevent their conversation from being replaced with an awkward silence. Growing up rich and in England, road trips to France had been a regular occurrence for Embry’s family, supported by her father’s insistence that his daughters learn to speak the French language. As far as she knew, Hera was from the US, so she was wondering how different or rare the trip was.

As Athena listened to Luna talk about her step-family, they felt sad for her and in an attempt to comfort her, they put their head on her shoulder. “I’m sorry.” They told her, wanting to show her that they sympathized with her and hoping that it might offer some additional comfort. They smiled when she said that they’d like her step-brother and younger sister. “I’d love to meet them.” They responded. “I think you’d like my family, too. I’ll introduce you to them one day.”

They nodded solemnly when Luna told them that her little sister blamed herself for her mom’s death. They pulled up their sleeve, tracing the scar underneath their tattoo. “My dad does the same thing. He blames himself for my mom attacking me because he was the one who asked for the divorce. Except there was nothing he could’ve done about her reaction. All he wanted was for her to not be married to a gay man. He thought he was doing the best thing for her.” Something about Luna made Athena want to tell her everything, including the things that they had never told anyone else before.

“Or you could go with me.” They said, keeping their head on her shoulder and holding her hand. “I’ll take you anywhere in the world, just name the place.” They told her, smiling. The idea of seeing the world with Luna made them feel all nice and warm inside. After years of dreading this feeling and avoiding it at all costs, maybe she would be the person to change that.

When Hyun-Ae told them that she wanted to meet Yua, Niko smiled but there was a hesitation to their smile. They didn’t let just anyone meet their daughter, regardless of how they felt towards them. Before Blue Royalty’s interference, only a handful of people knew that they had even been pregnant, let alone met their baby once she was born. They didn’t want to introduce her to someone who would only be in her life temporarily. “Maybe someday,” They responded, making their voice as encouraging as possible. They listened to Hyun-Ae’s analysis of the contents of their purse.

“That’s actually a very accurate assessment.” They responded with a more confident smile. “My mother taught my siblings and I the importance of maintaining our appearances when we were young, so I always carry around simple makeup products just in case.” They explained to her as they took their purse back. “As for the business cards, there’s a culture around exchanging them in Japan. At the moment, mine just mentions the perfume store I work at but one day, they’ll say CEO. You should take one, it has both my American and Japanese phone numbers on it.” They added to their explanation of their belongings, taking out one of their business cards and offering it to her with both hands.

Hyun-Ae had a feeling that Niko wouldn’t let just anyone meet their daughter, and she respected that. “That’s completely fair. If I get to meet her, that would be great, but if I don’t, that’s completely fine.” She said, giving them a reassuring smile. That smile grew when told that her assessment was accurate, listening as Niko explained. “Wow, your mom sounds pretty awesome.” Niko then handed her a business card, and she slipped it into her pocket. “May I put your number into my phone? I just want to ask because I know it would be weird for me to just text you without your knowledge.” She said. “I wasn’t sure if you giving me your card meant you were ok with it, so I’m asking.”

“Really? Nobody wanted to take you in? Man you biological family is horrible.” Richard thought about his own mother after that comment. How even though she got pregnant by mistake and instead of aborting or givving Richard up for adoption, even thought she would have to marry this guy she dated and lie to him in order to raise Richard right, she still kept him and went through 9 months of pregnancy and a few horrible hours of delivery when she could do it an easier way. And she didn’t resent him either. When her husband left her because he found out Richard wasn’t his, she didn’t resent him, when she found out she was pregnant and her whole life would change probably for the worse because of it, she didn’t resent him … Well Richard felt happy to be her son. “Well maybe I don’t need to talk about it with her.” Richard responded. He felt that maybe bringing it up would dig up old wounds for her, and he wanted to let her know he doesn’t care who his father is or how he came to the world. He doesn’t care if his father resents him for something she did, because honestly it could’ve been a lot worse. So he continued with “I think I found out exactly as much as I need to know, any more would be too much. I know the truth, and I’ll let my mother know I know who my father is, but I’m already practically grown and I’m not angry at it … Had it been different, I would’ve been different and I don’t want it to be any different than it is now. I don’t need closure because I’ve had time to think and realize what I felt when I thought I needed closure was just a reaction to hearing truth that was kept from me my whole life, but that’s it.” Richard turned to Xavier and asked. “Also if my mom admite to your dad that I’m his son, he would marry her and you would never be born … I’d rather to have a friend like you here than to have a father different to the one I have now … Actually … My step-father is a gem I wouldn’t trade for the world. What about your adoptive parents, Xav? Do you think they’re good parents?”

“She is.” Niko agreed to her comment about their mom. “She used to be a model so she has all of these little pieces of advice she picked up from her stylists over the years. Once we were old enough, she started sharing them with my sister and I.” They explained. When she asked if she could put their number in her phone. “Yes, of course.” They answered with a smile. “I’d recommend that you save both. My family spends most of the summer in Japan, so it’s easier to reach me on my Japanese phone." They explained. “I always have one or both of my phones on me, so you can message or call me at any time.”

“That’s really cool. My parents wanted to be able to do that, but they were just so busy. Like, really busy. I’ve had to raise myself from a young age, but I’ve never held any ill will towards my parents. I know they’re doing the best they can.” She nodded when Niko said she could put their number into her phone. “Ok, awesome. Let me just do that before I shut my phone off.” Pulling out her phone, she inputted both numbers of Niko into her phone.

“Yeah, they were.” He responded with a sarcastic laugh. “Most of it was my parents’ fault. Their quest for fame led to a lot of their family not wanting to speak to them. The only relatives I actually knew were our father’s parents but they were too old to take me in.” He explained. A small handful of his parents’ relatives had come to their funeral but most of them never looked in his direction, let alone spoke to him. He listened as Richard talked about not needing closure or a confrontation with his mother. He could respect that. After the fire, he’d relied on his faith to give him closure, as well as the fact that it was hard to mourn people who had never really been in your life in the first place. When Richard mentioned that if his mom had told their father about him, Xavier might have never been born and that put the issue into an interesting perspective. He nodded when he was asked if he thought his adoptive parents were good parents.

"I think they’re the best parents I could’ve asked for. They were supportive when I came out to them and they’ve helped me a lot with my mental health issues.” He answered, smiling. “I genuinely don’t think I would’ve made it to 18 if I didn’t have them.” It was a heavy remark to make, but it was the truth. Before Zion and Emily, he wasn’t living. He was surviving. Having to count the hours he was alone to determine when was the appropriate time to knock on his neighbour’s door and ask her if she had leftovers he could eat or even just if he could come in so he wouldn’t be alone. Knowing what he should or should not mention to his foster families because they might result in him getting moved again. He didn’t actually know what it felt like to be loved until he had been adopted and had parents who actually acted like parents.

“Oh wow.” Richard reacted. “No offense Xav, but after hearing about you … our father … I am glad that my mother made the decisions she made. And when it comes to my father, the one that left … In that situation I can’t hate either party, because I understand why my father left and I understand why my mother lied.” Richard said.

“You know I can say the same thing for my parents. But not the man that married my mother thinking I was his son, the one that married her afterwards. I mean, can you just imagine how forgiving he must’ve been, because he knows and he still married my mom.” Richard thought for a moment where he lost the train of thought and returned back to what he originally wanted to say. “Yeah, but my parents are such a good fit, that I see my step-father as the only real father I’ve ever had and sometimes it’s hard to remeber he isn’t my dad when I introduce him to people.” Richard said.

Luna felt herself heat up when Athena put their head on her shoulders. Snap out of it Luna, it’s supposed to be a sweet and caring thing not one of your delusional thoughts, she said trying hard to hide the blush that was rising to her face. She bit her lips as she looked down at her feet, an attempt, not the best but an attempt nevertheless to hide the blush. When Athena said they would love to meet Kevin and Eligiana, Luna’s blush had evaporated like boiling water and she turned to them with a friendly smile. “You guys will get along.” And she meant that, Eligiana was more close to their age as Kevin was around 12-13 and she shared a lot of interest that she knew Athena liked. She felt her blush rising up again when Athena said they would introduce them to their family one day, “I would love that, really.”

Her eyes moved from Athena’s gorgeous face that was as beautiful as the sun- seriously, Athena had the sun and universe for a soul. Luna had never met someone with both the sun and universe combined for a soul, to their scar that they were tracing underneath their tattoo. Luna never noticed that scar before even when she was- *cough * cough “Your dad is a good man.” Luna says with a smile, “He couldn’t keep living the lie of a man who is attracted to your mom and didn’t want her to live in that life so he ended things, it’s sad though that your biological parents did not end things on good terms.” If her mother was still alive, Luna was sure of a lot of things- her father would have never married her step mother and her parents would never get a divorce like Athena’s parents but if they did, they would have ended things on good terms and that is how Luna would have wanted it. A deep wave of anger suddenly hit Luna as she blinked and realized what Athena told her, their mom attacked them and gave them that scar. Luna wanted to find their mom and beat them with a stick or grab her by the hem of a collar and ask why? Why would she do that to them? To her own child just because someone doesn’t want to keep living a lie? How could she hurt the only good thing is this world filled with evil and danger? The anger was washed over when she looked towards Athena giving her a look and she realized something. She has been going on and on about how her step family sucks and how she wants to spend more time with her dad, eligiana and kevin alone while Athena is actually going through serious things. God, why was she so selfish? “I’m sorry,” Luna said. She was sorry that they had a mother like that, she was sorry that she kept rambling about her ‘non’ issues while Athena had more serious issues but she wasn’t sorry for opening up to them and them opening up to her. “At least you and your dad are happy now.” She hopes. Luna gave them a reassuring smile.

“Or you could go with me.” Their hands where still on her shoulder, holding her hand tight as they said this. “I’ll take you anywhere in the world, just name the place.” They continued and Luna would be lying if she said she didn’t melt on the spot. “I would love that.” She would more than love that. A grin crept its way to her face, just her and them. Luna had never realized this till now but Athena was the person whom her soul was attached too, the better half of her soul. They were more special to her than she could describe or say to them even if she said it in all the world languages. She had read once that the greek believed zeus fearing humanity would rise against him split them in two, condemning them to spend their entire life searching for their other half- the person who they belong with. Well, Luna had found hers. She knows she had found hers and all she could think jokingly was, Zeus I outdid you, it was even funnier to Luna when she realized that her other half was Athena in the myths Athena was a child of Zeus. “I would love to go to Japan.” Luna says, “See the cherry blossoms in spring as we walk hand in hand and we-” Luna leaned in to peck Athena’s lips,“And our lips touch.”

“Believe me, I would never wish the way I grew up on anyone and honestly, I think your mom made the right decision, for both herself and for you.” He responded. He didn’t blame Richard’s mom for the way she reacted. Their father was a piece of sh-t, plain and simple. Richard probably didn’t fully understand this yet but his mother did him a huge favour by getting him as far away as possible.

He listened as Richard talked about his mom and stepfather, a small smile appearing on his lips as he saw the way he talked about them. “Hey, at the end of the day, what and who you call your parents is your decision.” He reassured him with a slight shrug. Family had always been a tricky topic for Xavier, but if he’s learned anything in the past 18 years, it’s that your family is whoever you say it is. “There’s a reason why I refer to my adoptive parents as simply ‘my parents’. To me, they’re the only actual parents I’ve ever known. My cousin is the opposite with their stepfather. Most of the time, they just refer to him as their father’s husband and as far as I know, they’ve only ever addressed him by his name. If you want to introduce him as your father, I wouldn’t see a problem with that.”

Hera pulled back a little bit, pleasantly suprised by Embry’s maturity. “Thank you, actually. For the record I think your letter was nice, too. I may or may not have read it while Dai wasn’t looking.” Dai. Not Ane. Finally, they could breathe and refer to the girl as no more than who she was to anyone else. Then, they laughed at Embry’s diction. “That’s real. It’s so sad we hated each other for so long, you coulda been a good wing woman. And I’d be one to you, of course.” Hera clarified, not to sound too cocky even though they were, and lowkey misgendering themself but they weren’t really picky about that stuff. “Nah, I’ve only been to france once but it was for business.”

After leon elaborated on the people she had affected, the gravity of their situation felt so much more surreal. “You’re right. I’ll talk to her. Do you know when I can do that?” Persie asked. The poor woman, she had done nothing to her. She was just a sad girl, forced to be married to Leon. And after she had managed to truly love him, she found out he lied. Persie didn’t blame Leon anymore, but his girlfriend deserved better. She just didn’t know how to establish a relationship with this woman she’d know for the rest of her life.

To think about it, they all had a vision. Persephone, Leon, and Yeong-Mi. Even though hers was never pretty, the trajectory of all of their lives geared toward a new horizon now. Maybe she was gonna be a doctor, the one who cured cancer, maybe Persephone could have been successful on her own; an independent, single woman who made it. But now her hopes lied within a little clump of cells in her stomach, turned to a whole life. The weeks of pregnancy would become months of the baby’s life, to years, to decades until they were everything she wished to be. Because she was going to get them there. After years of trying to give up, she found a reason to keep going.

She also appreciated Leon so much for being there. It was the bare minimum, but she honestly didn’t fully expect it from him, and she was used to seeing fathers run like water. Even her dad left her after her mom passed. He was a piece of garbage, all men were pieces of garbage, but maybe they weren’t. Every part of her world in that moment was changing its revolution. The poles rattled, and everything was in the wrong place, but it seemed like it was for the better. She hoped Leon would be a good dad. He’d know how to change diapers, and scare off the kids love interest, maybe even make dad jokes if he could make them less insufferable. She thanked him.

“No, I don’t know if it’s a boy or a girl yet.” Persie thought, wondering how she was gonna make all the little milestones before it was here. “I was hoping we could schedule an ultrasound toget-”

Before she could finish her sentence, the girl felt a jolt from her abdomen. It was sharper than she expected it would be, but Persephone knew exactly what it was when she felt it. “Leon! Leon it’s kicking!” She exclaimed with a giddy voice, snatching his hand and placing it on her stomach. “Do it again!” She said looking down. She guided Leons hand on her belly, and there it was again. “Ha!” She giggled, smiling at him. “They’re not supposed to do this so early,” She explained, revealing that she had been doing her fair share of research, “But I guess our baby is going to be active.” She laughed, overjoyed by the sensation.

Luna’s words about their father made Athena feel comforted and relieved that the girl they felt so strongly for agreed with them. She went silent but Athena could tell that she was getting angrier and angrier, so they nuzzled their head into her chest, trying to calm her down. “You don’t need to be sorry.” They reassured her. “It was over a decade ago and I haven’t seen or spoken to her since.” They added, looking down with a melancholic smile. They would be lying if they said that there wasn’t a part of them who longed for the mother they used to have, although all of their memories with her were now tainted with their blood. They nodded with a smile when Luna mentioned them and their dad being happy now. It had taken them three years after everything happened to get there but yes, they were truly happy now.

Their smile widened when Luna said that she’d love to travel with them. She then expressed her interest in going to Japan and as she described walking with the cherry blossoms, they could picture it so clearly, it felt like they were there. When she kissed them, they blushed. It should be noted that until Athena met Luna, they had never blushed so much in their entire life. It was almost like Luna held the key to unlock a side of Athena that they hadn’t known existed until now. “That sounds magical and if that’s where you want to go, then I’ll take you.” They promised, returning her peck on the lips.

Leon didn’t know why, but he was surprised that Persie wanted to talk to Yeong-Mi. Not that it was a bad thing. The three of them were kind of connected now, whether they liked it or not. “If you want, I can ask her when she’s working after we get back from France.” He offered. “She works on an appointment basis, so her schedule changes every week.” He explained, hoping that she wouldn’t think he was a bad husband for not knowing his wife’s work schedule.

As a kid, Leon dreamed of having a love story like his parents and to him, their marriage was perfect. His parents took care of each other and their love for one another was evident through everything they did. It was made more evident by the permanent changes in his mother after that one fated phone call. In an eerie way, his life mirrored his parents’. He found the person who made him feel complete, only to lose him to fate’s cruel hands and, just like his mother, it had irreversibly changed him. His marriage with Yeong-Mi seemed to be just another trick of fate and yet, he treated her like a princess, his princess, because that is what he learned from the years of observing how his father treated his mother.

Then he f-cked everything up.

It had only taken him four months.

He knew that if his father were here, he’d be disappointed in him and that’s what hurt most. His father was his role model and he desperately wanted to be that for his child but he felt like he’d already failed. The woman who should be carrying his child wasn’t the one who was pregnant. Persephone’s voice brought him out of his thoughts, speaking before abruptly stopping. He focused on her, worried but as soon as she put his hand on her stomach and he felt the baby kicking, smiled a rare, genuine smile.

“I can’t wait to teach them how to skate.” He said, thinking out loud. The thought was immediate and while he wasn’t sure if he actually meant to say it out loud or not, it was the truth. Skating was an important part of him and even before he’d met Persephone, he’d always dreamed of one day being able to share it with his future child. “About the ultrasound thing, I would love it if we could go to one together.” He told her, going back to what she was saying before she was interrupted by the excitement of the baby’s movement. He’ll admit that he had no idea what the child was supposed to look like at this point, he’d stopped taking biology as soon as he was able to, but the thought of actually seeing the being they’d created together was exciting.

Richard sighed heavily and loudly, bored by the conversation they were having. Richard didn’t mind talking about how amazing his parents were once in a while, but having to say the exact same things over and over again showed Richard it was time to pick another subject otherwise they’ll both be bored.
“Funny thing about your father … I mean … You biological father, not you actual father … I’ve seen his photo and I’ve heard his name … You say he was corrupt by his fame, but I hate to tell you this, I’ve never ever heard of him before. Was he all that famous and I’m just clueless or was he a nobody and yet somehow he still acted like a … forgive my french, a d’ck?” After talking to Xavier for a while Richard felt no guilt calling their biological father a dick, but since he’s only now figured out he is Richard’s father while Xavier had to deal with him in early childhood until his death, he figured maybe it was wrong of him to insult him so freely when Xavier is the only one who has the right to insult him, he’s done the most wrong to.

It’s only three days. Evelyn’s older brother reminded her. She had propped her phone up on the vehicle door, allowing her to use both hands as she signed to her deaf brother. She was already in the car on the way to the airport but sign language allowed her and her brother to talk to each other on the way without bothering the driver or having him eavesdrop on their conversation.

Yeah. Three days of me leaving you alone with mom and dad. She responded, increasing her own guilt over leaving her brother alone with their parents. Danny couldn’t speak and their parents stubbornly refused to learn sign language, making it very difficult for him to communicate with them. Evie was often the buffer between her brother and her parents’ ableism and she worried whenever she was away from him too long. She had even contemplated not going on the ski trip, but both Leon and Danny had insisted she go.

I’ll be fine. Plus, it’s not like you’re disappearing off the face of the earth

"Please text me if you need my help" She pleaded, wanting to make sure he knew that she would always be available.

Evie. She could tell that he was scolding her from the look on his face and the way that he did his sign for her name - a quick transition between the fingerspelling letters for ‘E’ and ‘V’. If you check in on me more than twice after you land today, I’m telling Leon to take your phone away and not give it back until you’re on the plane home.

You wouldn’t.

Watch me. They both laughed. The car pulled to a stop as it arrived at the airport and Evie got out, letting her driver help her with her bags. She continued to talk to her brother as she navigated the airport, switching to signing with one hand while pushing her luggage cart with her elbows.

Okay, I have to hang up so I can go through security. I’ll talk to you later.

Bye

She said goodbye to her brother and hung up the phone before going to through all the necessary security checkpoints and finding her gate. She made herself comfy at the gate and texted her skating coach, letting her know that both she and Leon would be out of the country for the next few days - the two of them had done rock, paper, scissors to determine who had to tell their coach and Evie lost. She sent the text and promptly put her phone on airplane mode, deciding that she would rather deal with the response in France. When boarding for the flight was called, she got on the plane and took her seat, putting her earbuds in, pressing shuffle on her playlist and pulling out the kids Chinese workbook she’d brought along with her to keep herself to busy, starting to trace the characters she knew so well.

“I feel like I should be upset by that but it honestly doesn’t surprise me.” Embry responded to Hera saying they read her letter with a small chuckle. “Yeah, I was so happy to be spending Valentine’s with her, I kind of just poured everything out onto a page. I might have gone a little overboard to be honest.” She admitted, adding a slight tone of embarrassment to her voice. Somehow, knowing both she had Hera had once been head over heels for this girl made it easier to say these things to them.

She nodded when they said it was sad they hated each other for so long. “Well, there’s no reason we can’t be that for each other now.” She responded, extending a bit of an olive branch and hoping that it might be the beginning of a new relationship between her and Hera. “Business?
