Blue Royalty: New Blood

“I don’t really have a father now, my dama is non-binary and my mom is a woman, so when I say father, I’m usually talking about the dead one.” Xavier explained, just as a ‘so you know’ detail. Then he sighed dramatically, wondering how to best explain his father’s fame, or rather, lack thereof. “Honestly, if he was corrupt by anything, it was his ego. Both he and his wife believed that they were one film away from being Hollywood’s next ‘it-couple’, meanwhile, they’d never had a role that would put them on anyone’s radar.” He explained, his voice dripping with sarcasm and he rolled his eyes when he said ‘it-couple’.

“They used to try and justify leaving me alone for hours on end by saying they were ‘networking’, which was their codeword for getting wasted at a party and maybe sleeping with a director or a producer.” He added, his gaze becoming unfocused as he tried to keep himself grounded in the present. When Xavier spoke about his childhood, he usually tried to keep the moments as broad as possible, to prevent himself from getting stuck in a memory but everyone once in a while something hit a little too close to home and he would find himself getting drawn in anyways. “Do you have any plans for after you graduate?” He asked, abruptly changing the topic. He was distracting himself, of course, but he hoped that Richard wouldn’t mind it.

Thank god Embry wasn’t mad about Hera’s nosyness, H, or at least the old H, would have been. Also, compared to their actions, hers seemed actually pretty normal to them. “I understand that completely. Don’t feel bad, just remember I kissed her on a ferris wheel after two years of being apart.” Hera watched Embry’s facial reaction to her speech and laughed. Who knew Hera could be so simpy. Then, Hera raised their eyebrows hearing Embry’s suggestion. They never would have expected to be having such a conversation with the girl. It also reminded her that she was now free to do whatever she wanted with whomever she wanted, which seemed pretty appealing considering there were little to no adults around and it was a vacation, after all. “Deal.” They nodded, intrigued and looking forward to their spring flings.

“And yes, it was for paris fashion week. I’m not sure if you knew, but my parents are designers and they wanted me to follow in their footsteps. Lately I’ve been more into music, though.” They reflected. Funny, out of all of the ways they thought of themself, nepo baby was never a label they used. However, they did have to acknowledge that they only got to this point in life because their mothers adopted them. “It just felt like, you know, love wasn’t the best outlet for me to let out my sensitive side, so I started putting it into songs.” This was true, since they’ve been trying to forget about Daiane, Hera’s been making music about not just their love for a person but also the little things like coffee, and apple cider. It seemed silly, but it was wayyy healthier than reattaching to a figure of the past.

HOW WAS THIS HER FAULT? Okay fine, yes, this… particular incident with Fin having water all over his cro-… you know where was technically her fault but also, she didn’t mean to do it. It wasn’t a conscious I want to ruin Fin’s day type of thing. It never freaking was intentional. HONESTLY if anything was intentional, it was Fin ruining her day… correction… her year, high school experience, hell… middle school experience. All of it. And as per the usual, after the look of utter hatred on his face, the frustrated yells left his lips as they always did.

It was the usual statements of what the hell wrong with you, but COME ON FIN SHE DIDN’T MEAN TO DO IT SO STOP YELLING AT HER THIS WAS JUST ABUSIVE. Honestly, she didn’t even get out her apology before he told her to shut up. Like damn, could you be any ruder? Amelia already had enough going on in her bloody day - she didn’t need this added on top of it. Hell, she especially didn’t need to be yelled at by Fin when she already felt like utter shit. “OH MY FCKING GOD JUST STOP TALKING FIN. WE ALL KNOW YOU’RE IN LOVE WITH YOUR OWN VOICE BUT STOP. It was fcking water. WATER. You know, the sht that dries within a few fcking minutes. Or would you not fcking know that because you never come to science class? And how would I know that? Probably because some fcking way in this universe that never fails to torture the absolute hell out of me, I ended up being your tutor for the entire fcking year and you never came to one fcking session and I just ended up having to do all of your fcking assignments because I needed your dad to write me a letter. Well guess what FIn, it’s the end of the freaking year. Just suck it the fck up. It’s water. Sit down, stop bothering the flight attendant, and change seats later because I don’t have the mental capacity to be nice anymore.”

Okay… so… that just came streaming out of her mouth. Sht. There was a few seconds after she said it where silence fell around them, likely due to the shock of the fact that she said it… and then the instant regret hit. Let’s just say… perhaps that lack of sleep for the past few nights was getting to her because usually… none of that would have left her mouth. No honestly, in a normal scenario she would be imagining saying those words in her head and than just mutter some apologies.

She heard someone muffling laughs, and looked to her left only to glare at Quinn before turning back towards Fin. Taking a deep sigh, she massaged her forehead before looking back towards him and bringing her voice down. “I’m… I’m sorry. Look can we just… I don’t know call this whole thing a truce for a few minutes? At least until take off and you find somewhere else to go and then you can stop making my life a living hell? Because you’ve honestly been doing it for long enough.”

“Ohhh, okay.” She said. She would have asked for more details, but she didn’t want to pry in on their lives. She already felt enough like an intruder, being the mistress to a literal marriage so she assumed it was best to just stay quiet.

“Skate?” Persephone couldn’t help but chuckle. “Who do you even know that skates?” She continued laughing, and wondering why that idea came to mind. Come to think of it, though, it did seem like a good idea to think about not just the serious, structural aspects of his or her life, but also the little ones. Persephone never really did much recreationally because of the whole foster kid situation, but she always wanted to do ballet, or cheerleading. What if this child dreamt of such things too? She needed to make sure she could give them that.

Ooh, fancy pregnant people things. “Yessss, they’ve been weird like I don’t know, I’ve always had kind of a phobia about going to the doctors so I want to have you guys holding my hand and all.” She blushed, a little embarrassed by the vulnerability of that statement. “Oh my, what am I going to do when my clothes don’t fit anymore? I think I’m just going to keep my regular outfits because maternity clothes are lowkey so ugly.” She stated, yes Persie was kind of broke but her outfits NEVER reflected that, she just relied on thrifting and shein. When you don’t have much else to offer, looking pretty becomes a really big priority. And looking pretty did not include dressing basic to Persephone.

Who do you even know that skates?

At first, Leon laughed, thinking that Persephone was just pulling his leg. “Oh, you’re serious.” He said as he realized she wasn’t and he stopped laughing. “Persephone, I’m a figure skater.” He explained to her. He wondered if he had just never mentioned it to her or if she had just forgotten but either way, he wouldn’t hold it against her. “I also have my friend who trains with me, her name is Evelyn and there was also this guy…his name was Atlas, he played hockey but he trained at the same rink as me. We…um…” He added, unable to fight off the tightness in his voice when he mentioned Atlas and he couldn’t finish his sentence. He cleared his throat and straightened his posture, something he always did when he had emotions he wanted to ignore.

“I’ll come with you and I’ll hold your hand as much as you need me to, all you have to do is tell me when and where.” He offered this to her as a friend because he believed that no one should have to face the things they were afraid of on their own. He laughed again when she lamented over her clothes. “Well, I could ask my mom if she kept any of her maternity clothing. I’ve seen some pictures from when she was pregnant and she wore some very fashionable clothing. I think she made most of it herself.” He offered, again trying to comfort her. “If she doesn’t, my sister’s boyfriend’s mom might, or even his sibling. I doubt his mother would have given up her style for pregnancy and his sibling was sixteen when they had their daughter, so I’m sure they would have something you’d like.”

Embry had to bite her tongue as Hera brought up kissing Daiane on the ferris wheel. She most certainly hadn’t forgotten and if she wasn’t trying to improve her relationship with them, she would have made a backhanded remark but instead, she just smiled as they agreed to her proposal. She never thought she would be saying this but she was actually looking forward to this path she was venturing on with Hera. “If I didn’t think she was a little demon, I’d say we should put our love lives in the hands of my sister. She seemed to be successful with her friends.” She added with a chuckle.

“I’ve always wanted to go to fashion week.” She said as Hera explained what they meant by business. “My mum’s gone a few times to do hair for the models. My sister and I have begged her to take us with her but no luck. One of my sister’s friends has gone though, her mum is a designer.” She nodded as they told her about their recent interest in music. She related to their use of music as an outlet and she actually did the same but with drawing. “I feel like not a lot of people know this about me but I draw in my free time. If you read my letter to Dai, you probably might’ve seen the picture I drew of her. Either way, I often channel emotions I’d rather not express out loud into my art. I have a special sketchbook for those drawings and I keep it where no one else can find it.” She didn’t know why she was telling Hera this, but it almost felt like a kind of release.

It had been less than two whole weeks since she left New York and the glamour of Broadway, and then here she was leaving Beryl. Though this time she wasn’t moving across the country, she was going on a trip with the rest of the senior class of her new high school. Certainly a trip to France would be a good opportunity to make a make herself known among her classmates. At the very least, the trip was to go skiing, which was a welcome bonus.

Her assigned seat was next to a guy she didn’t know, not that she knew that many people in the senior class yet. Attractive, but far too distracted to be of interest. However, after the plane was in flight, a different opportunity came around. She was just walking back to her seat when she lost her balance, finding herself falling right into someone else in the aisle. She had seen him before, previously at school, but she had also noticed the commotion just before take off with the girl sitting by him. She glanced him over with a slight smirk. ”I guess I should thank you for catching my fall. Maybe there’s some way I can show you just how much I appreciate it.” she added, one hand pressed against his chest, the other sliding further downward. Though, could one really blame her? He was certainly attractive, and when Lucy likes what she sees, she didn’t see the harm in acting on certain thoughts.

@astxrism - if you still want to reply more with Fin & Amie’s interaction first before responding to Lucy, that’s perfectly fine. I just wanted to get this post out

It was so weird. The pair had literally been inside of each other, and are going to be involved in the rest of each other’s lives, yet they knew about each other just the same as regular acquaintances would. It was that same eerie feeling when being asked a question about your one night stand, people saw you together and assumed you were close, yet you didn’t know the answer. Regardless of the warmth of their touch the night before, your body remained cold. “You’re a figure skater??” Persie reacted, flabbergasted. She put her face in her palm and sighed. “It’s always the skaters, even the ones on ice!” She tried to joke, attempting to remain amiable. Either way, the girl could not deny it; she, in fact, had a type.

Aw. Leon seemed so sad when he mentioned his old friend. Okay Persie, serious mode. “Hey, you what?” She asked softly, leaning closer to him for support. “You can tell me.” Admittedly, she was also curious to find out more about the man’s life. Regardless of responsibilities, he was somebody she wanted to know. Especially after seeing how good he was being to her. “Awwww, no, you don’t have to do all that.” Persie blushed, flattered that he cared enough to go out of his way for her like that. “I’ll just wear more dresses and everything.” She shrugged, she usually figured something out before needing assistance anyway. “Anyway, a few weeks after we get back is where we can find out the gender. Ah!” She squealed. “Oh my god should we have a gender reveal party like those rich millenials do? Or should we pull more of a cowboy kinda thing.” She put on her best country accent. “Ah thank ets gone bay a rootin tootin boah!”

Athena nuzzled into Luna trying to calm her down and all Luna could think was awww and I should be the one calming you down. She was glad Athena was not speaking to their evil(Luna actually thought of her in more vulgar words that are not pg13 ) biological mother in decades, “Good, you and your dads deserve to be happy. Athena you deserve the world.” Luna told him blushing. They truly did and Luna would give it to them but since she couldn’t give them the actual world, the actual earth- not like she would like to give them the earth seeing it’s state currently as Athena deserved something better, Luna could give them her world. That world in question being books, she hoped Athena liked reading, “Do you like to umm read?” Do you want me to give you my world when I’m not thinking about you? was what Luna actually wanted to say but that would be to strange-to weird- Luna didn’t want to weird Athena out, she wanted to do everything but that. She wanted to impress them.

. “That sounds magical and if that’s where you want to go, then I’ll take you.”

Luna was not on cloud 9, not at all she was on cloud 10, the highest of the highest that can’t be reached by drugs, alcohol or anything but love. Luna had read books about falling in love about seeing no else but your lover about being drunk in love and she had not believed it, she had not believe you could be drunk in love at first but now, after Athena she did. She believed love can be a drug, that you could be drunk in love that teenagers can fall in love and it mean something and not just silly teenage feelings. She believed in true love. “Athena” Luna didn’t rush their name, she didn’t say in a haste, in a hurry to be done and say something else instead she slowly pronounce each letter of their name, “Athena, I would love to go everywhere with you, even if we were going to hell.” She said with a laughter.

“Yeah, I am.” He responded with a smile. Her little comment about it ‘always being the skaters’ made him laugh before he continued. "I’ve been skating since I was 10 years old and I started competing when I was 11. My coach and just the sport, in general, have helped me through a lot of difficult times.” He added on, thinking about how even though his life was very much intertwined with Persephone’s now, the two of them didn’t really know the more mundane, trivial aspects of each other’s lives.

Persie leaned closer, reassuring him that he could talk to her. He took a deep breath, knowing that he was about to make himself more vulnerable than he had ever been with her. “We were really close.” That was an understatement. However, ‘he was the first and only person I have ever loved’ wasn’t something Leon felt like unpacking on an airplane. “He went missing three years ago. Presumed dead.” His voice was void of emotion and his gaze was distant. There were few things that could make Leon cry in front of other people. Atlas was at the top of that list. The last thing he wanted right now was to cry in front of Persephone and so he retreated into himself. Made himself numb. It was a technique he’d mastered years ago.

But, he still put on a smile when Persephone protested against his offer. “Well, if you ever change your mind, just let me know. The offer still stands.” He told her. “I could also just connect you with Niko, that’s my sister’s boyfriend’s sibling, so you have someone to talk to who’s been in a similar situation.” As soon as he said this, Leon worried if he was doing too much or being overbearing but he wanted to do everything he could to make sure Persie didn’t feel abandoned. His smile widened as he saw her getting excited over the idea of having a gender reveal party and he laughed at her cowboy impression. “I don’t know about the whole cowboy thing, but we can have a fancy gender reveal party if you want. I can have a cake made and everything” He told her, unable to deny that the idea did sound like fun. “In Korea, there’s a superstition that when a woman gets pregnant, she’ll have a special dream and the things that appear in the dream determine whether it’s a boy or a girl.” He added as an afterthought, remembering what his mom had told him about the dreams she’d had when pregnant with him and Jae.

“Aw.” Persie listened. It was kind of a change to learn new things about people with conversations. Persephone realized she didn’t know much about the world in that aspect. She knew how to cover a black eye with makeup, and turn the gas back on when the bank cuts you off, or apparently seduce a married man. But she never learned how legos connect, or what animals are at the aquarium. Maybe it made her dumb. Maybe it made her weak. She smiled. “Then I can’t wait for you to teach them either!” Persie laughed, “I’d help you, but I don’t know either.”

Le told her about his friend from the rink and she found herself taken aback. Never did P expect to hear the man tell her something like that. “Oh. Leon, I’m so sorry.” She processed, trying to think of what to say next without coming off inappropriate. “What was he like?” She asked, wanting to let him talk after all of her ranting. Plus, that situation seemed to really impact him, so she wanted to be informed about it for future reference.

Persie was flattered by Leon’s insistence to help her dress herself, but it was all white noise to her until he mentioned that name. After all that serious talk, they needed a smile anyway. “Niko? Hold on like the one at Cerulean? YOU KNOW CHADS BABY MAMA?” Pers outright cackled, startling the flight attendant. “No we don’t want cashews, thanks.” She said between giggles. “THAT MAN IS LIKE MY BEST FRIEND.” Persie boasted. It was strange to think about. She had enabled his negligence of Niko and the child only to end up in her same situation. Back then, she kind of assumed men were just like that, especially Chad. “I know he can be really f^cked up sometimes, but he’s not great in the head like that. His parents were cousins, and he had it really rough growing up. I know that probably wouldn’t be your first guess for why he is the way he is, but it’s the truth.” She sighed, looking down. Back then, those were just the kinda people that understood her.

“Anyway,” She said shyly, “You really don’t have to give me clothes. It’s fine.”

Then they talked about the whole gender reveal thing. “Yeah we can make a cake and everything but I mean, how? What do your parents even think of this whole situation? Holy sh!t do they even know?” Persie stressed. What if his parents thought the baby was Yeong-Mi’s? Would they have to stuff her shirt with pillows or something? What if his family side-eyed her the whole time? They could probably even kill her off if they wanted to. WOAH. Persie interrupted. Life has tried to get me multiple times, even I have, I think we would have succeeded by now. The girl casually mentioned. At that point, it was probably a bit obvious that Persephone was the survivor of a suic!de attempt given her history of mental illnesses, but oh well. Regardless, she wanted to know what Leon’s family knew and percieved, if anything at all.

“Oh, I wouldn’t know.” She commented on korean traditions. “Anyone that connected me to my korean heritage is looooong dead” She laughed. It was her method of coping, don’t judge. Moping about it wouldn’t change anything, so Persie preferred make light of her situation and not think about it much beyond that. Retrospectively, though, her relatives dying did make her very American and less… whatever she was supposed to be. Maybe talking to leon could also help Pers connect more with her roots and less with french fries and republicanism. To achieve this, she supposed she was to go go along with Leon’s shpiel. “Well, dreams? I don’t know, my pregnancy dreams have been so weird like last night I had this huge cheeseball chasing me because I had stolen its lunch money so I had to seek shelter in Ellen Degeneres’ panic room.” Don’t ask. “I think that gives boy energy. Well, that depends. Is the baby the cheeseball or Ellen? OR… is it he lunch money?” She rubbed her chin pretentiously.

Athena smiled when Luna told them they deserved the world. She then asked if they liked to read. “Yeah, I do.” They answered her with a smile. This wasn’t a lie, though they knew that the two of them were probably thinking about different forms of literature. While they could be persuaded to read the odd novel or two, or be forced to for an English class, Athena preferred reading scripts and graphic novels, especially manhua. “What about you?” They returned. “Do you like reading?” Really they were just trying to figure out what her motivations for asking were.

They watched Luna attentively as she slowly said their name. “Yes, my moon?” They responded. Luna didn’t know this but this was the nickname they had called her on prom night. The one they had said to her in a language she didn’t understand when they had been too drunk to stop themself. Except now, they felt that she deserved to know what it meant. They laughed when she said that she would even go to hell with them. “Then just tell me when and I’ll make it happen.” They responded, smiling back at her.

“Well, there’s no reason I can’t teach you both at the same time.” He offered to her, thinking that her little excitement was kind of sweet. “I teach skating to little kids when I’m not training and so I’m used to handling group lessons.” He added as an explanation, giving Persephone another little tidbit of information about his life. The teaching he did was a job but because he didn’t really need the money, half of it was given to his coach to go towards covering the cost of his actual training and he got to keep the other half, which he put away in the bank.

When Persie asked him what Atlas was like, he froze for a minute, trying to decide if he actually wanted to talk to her about him or not. He knew that it would never get easier to talk about him if he didn’t try but it was so hard. He took a deep breath, keeping his gaze pointed at his hands in his lap. “In every way, he was my opposite. Always smiling, easygoing, and an optimist. He called me Figure Skates because he always saw me carrying my skates as I left the rink. He was so annoying and I loved him so much.” He spoke with a bittersweet smile and those last five words slipped out without a thought. Leon immediately tried to move on, in hopes that Persephone wouldn’t register them. “In a way, he helped me re-enter society after losing my dad and even got me to stop shutting out my mom and sister.” He decided to stop there. Continuing was too painful. It had been three years but the wounds never really healed. Especially because they had been formed on top of barely healed ones.

Leon was mildly shocked by her level of energy and kind of concerned at the fact that Chad was a friend of hers. He barely knew the guy but that was mostly out of a lack of desire to. “I…I guess?” He responded, his tone uneasy. “They never made Yua’s father public knowledge but if we’re both talking about Niko Tanaka, then yes.” He answered. It was hard to imagine someone like Niko being with Chad but it kind of gave an explanation as to why they kept their daughter’s father so secret.

“Yes, my mom knows. I told her because I wanted her to hear it from me instead of getting it from the ajumma grapevine.” He told her, making a little joke at the end, even though he didn’t laugh. It had actually gone better than he had thought it would. She was actually sympathetic and comforted him as he begged her to forgive him for what he’d done, crying in front of his mother for the first time in years. “She actually took it better than I expected. I’m sure she would appreciate meeting you and she would probably help us plan a gender reveal.”

When Persie mentioned that any connection to her Korean heritage she had was long dead, he felt sad for her. To Leon, his culture was a huge part of his upbringing and an important part of who he was. “If you ever want to learn more about Korean culture, just let me know. Yeong-Mi and I would be happy to show you some stuff.” Even though Leon had very strong ties to his culture and his heritage, he was still American and so he thought it would be a good idea for Persie to learn about the culture from someone who had grown up there. He laughed when she told him about her dreams. “That definitely gives boy energy.” He agreed with her, giving a nod of agreement before he spoke. “My eomma told me that when she got pregnant with me, she dreamed about dragons and the sun, which is how I got my Korean name. The ‘Il’ in Nam-Il means sun.”

Clara rested her head against the window of the plane, getting very bored. She was excited for the trip, there just wasn’t much to do on the plane and she wasn’t sitting next to anyone she was interested in talking to. She sat up straight, pulling her hair out of her hair tie and letting it fall over her shoulders, her headband keeping it off of her face. She stood up and as she walked down the aisle, stretching her legs, she noticed that the seat beside her sister was empty.

If she was being honest, she felt like things had been different between her and Amanda since she came back and Blue Royalty exposing her eating disorder just made that worse. They needed to talk. That was a given. For whatever reason though, they seemed to be avoiding it. Even if it wasn’t intentional, they hadn’t really had the chance to sit down and have a serious discussion with each other.

She made her way over to where her sister was sitting. “Hey Mandi, do you mind if I join you?” She asked, not waiting for a response before sitting down next to her sister and crossing her legs. She sat in silence for a few seconds before clearing her throat. “How was prom for you?” She asked. She hated how she and Amanda used to be so close and now she was making small talk just to avoid an awkward silence with her sister.

Past Annie would hate what she saw right now. The Annie that stupidly fell in love with Quinn Castillo, and should have learned from their ending - and now the exclusively cruel words they have for each other - that love will inevitably fall apart. It didn’t work for people like her - or just her. And she thought Enrique Montoya would have been any different?

If she were to ask him about the fight he got into, Annie would be becoming far too outwardly invested in his life than what she wanted. So, as much as she wondered who the other guy was - whether it was one of his brothers, or Elio, or whatever - Annie wanted to appear as uninterested as possible. “Don’t ask questions you won’t like the answers to,” She told him simply, giving him enough of an answer with that.

“Would you believe you?” She asked, her voice quietened from before after he changed the subject to the elephant in the room. Plane. Did Annie believe him, though? She shouldn’t. Maybe she wanted to, though. As questionable as his feelings actually were, hers were always real. And maybe there were moments that couldn’t have not been real. Her gaze softened in the consideration that he was telling the truth. But she couldn’t listen to that part of her- because perhaps Annie just doesn’t know him at all, and he was a really good liar. He had broken her trust, the trust that really would have been of use right now.

Which is why she let the possibility of dishonesty overshadow any belief she had in him. “Save your breath, Ricky, it’s done now,” Annie told him, hiding any trace of understanding she may have had. “We don’t need to waste time going through it - what was ‘real’ and what wasn’t, it doesn’t matter anymore.” She shifted in her seat, her headphones ready to block out the presence she had been unfortunately placed next to. Annie gave one last glance at Ricky, who was expectantly watching her. “Entertain yourself, or something, then. Long flight.”

Pied-à-terre, France – 7th April 2040

Upon arriving in the night, it is not long after the seniors have unpacked and settled into the lodges that they gather in the communal living room, lit by the fireplace and livened by the table of secretly-brought spirits. The only correct way to kick-start the trip was to bring back the Blue Royalty-hosted Dare or Drink game as one of the last ways to shake up the leaderboard.

@NewBlood

How the game works recap

Dares have been sent out on the Dare or Drink PM that all active users on. This means you don’t have to wait for a character to dare you in the RP, and you can post your character completing the task at anytime. Please quote and directly PM me your character completing the dare so I can give them the points!!

After a far-too-long flight of pretending she couldn’t hear the muttered comments regarding her almost every hour, Lenora was very relieved to be getting up and away from Elio and Phoebe. She was never ignorant of the fact that they had something that was just waiting to happen between them. It was why Phoebe had hated her for years, and why they were so comfortable next to each other in the flight. But it was fine, it didn’t matter now, Elio and Lenora were in the past - and they were both free to do whatever- whoever- they want.

Her classmates soon all gathered in the living room of the lodge, the proposal to play Dare or Drink was barely a discussion before people started throwing challenges at each other. On the most part, people were completing them - which, they would do if it meant additional Blue Royalty points. This meant Lenora had to follow suit, if she wanted a chance at keeping up with them.

“Read out the text messages that you sent Elio while you were cheating on me,”

The dare from, of course, Ricky, was one that caught the attention and amusement of a few surrounding them. Her eyes fell on the smug look on his face, and for a moment she was silent. For a moment, she looked stumped, that she couldn’t complete it. Like she had been caught out. Except she hadn’t. She pulled out her phone, onto her chats with Elio, scrolling back to the only conversation they had while Lenora and Ricky were together. Though she didn’t really need to, she knew how it went.

“‘It was really nice to meet you,’ He says, March 2038,” Lenora reads, putting the phone down and meeting eyes with Ricky, while asking, “And what did I say back, Elio?” She called over, knowing he knew that conversation just as well as her, but not looking in his direction. “Uh, you said, ‘Yeah, you too,’” Lenora gave a small gasp, eyes still locked on the darer, “Now that is scandalous,” She commented quietly, “Then he said, ‘I would love to hang out with you sometime’ ‘On a date or something’. And Elio tell me what disloyal response I gave,” Lenora requested once again. She could hear Elio clearing his throat from across the room, “‘That’s really sweet but no, I have a boyfriend.’”

Lenora held her phone up, scrolling through the chat. “Then nothing else. Until October 2038,” She told him, months after they broke up. Then she put her phone down and looked again at Ricky for any kind of reaction. But, as she expected, there was nothing to be inferred from his face - no kind of satisfaction he was probably hoping for nor surprise. Lenora then moved on, right now was a bad time to be trying to analyze what he was feeling. She smiled to JP, who she had chosen to give a dare to.

“JP, make out with your favourite girl.”

Hera had eventually fallen asleep on the plane, signalling the end of their conversation. Embry had spent the remaining hours of the flight browsing the in-flight movies and music, occasionally finding something that piqued her interest. The first thing she had done after they landed in France and made their way to their final destination was take a nap but soon enough she was woken up by the sound of her classmates migrating toward the lounge. She got herself out of bed, made herself presentable again, and went to join them.

Soon after everyone had gathered, a game of Dare or Drink had started and people were throwing dares left, right and centre. Embry found it very intriguing to see who gave who a challenge and what that challenge was and eventually, it got to her. She smirked as she was challenged to make sexy eyes at Daiane.

“Easy.” She responded before setting down her drink and making her way across the circle to where Daiane was sitting and situating herself right in front of her. She then began to gaze into the other girl’s eyes in a way that made it very clear that her intentions were far from innocent. When she felt that the tension had grown thick enough, she made her way back to her spot and looked directly at Hera. “Hera…I dare you to strip while making eye contact with Ari.” She smirked playfully as she spoke. She knew exactly what she was doing.

After arriving in France, Niko was excited to finally be off the plane and to see the landscape as they travelled to the lodge. During the journey to the lodge, they checked in with both their family and their co-workers to make sure everything was going smoothly back home. Their brother, of course, had told them to stop worrying and go have fun with the people their own age.

They did eventually take his advice, joining their classmates in the living room for a game of dare or drink. They watched as people admitted things they definitely wouldn’t have if there weren’t Blue Royalty points on the line. It almost made them nervous about what they would have to answer or what task they would have to complete as the game seemingly had no limits as to what people could be asked to do.

“Niko, would you rather give or receive pleasure?”

They shot Hades an unimpressed glare, but they didn’t really expect anything different from him. Despite the close friendship between their mother and Hades’ father, the two of them were far from friends. They were certain that if they had been drinking from the cup they held in their hand, they would’ve spit it out. They cleared their throat before answering:

“I would rather give pleasure.”

Then they turned their attention to Luna, who was sitting close to them. “Luna,” They started, ensuring that they had her attention. “Slowly run your tongue from Athena’s collarbone to their earlobe.” They had seen the two of them at the prom and going off together at the after-party so they thought, why not give the two of them a little nudge?

As Xavier arrived at the ski resort, he couldn’t stop thinking about how nice it had been to bond with Richard on the plane. It was comforting to have a positive relationship with at least one person from his biological family, especially one who he didn’t associate with the neglect he’d experienced as a child. When he arrived, the first thing he did was unpack, which was definitely something he learned from his mother, whether he liked it or not. Then, he joined the rest of his classmates in the living room, where a game of dare or drink had already started up.

Now, he’d been at this school long enough to know that when you don’t drink, you always need to provide your own beverages. So, he came to the living room prepared, having anticipated alcohol being present and having poured Coke into an opaque water bottle, that way people could guess whatever they wanted about what he was drinking.

Now, when it came to his turn, his dare came from Bree, a girl he really didn’t know except in passing. She gave him her challenge and he immediately felt his cheeks getting hot. It was a subconscious reaction and really, when he thought about it, it could have been way worse.

"I was fourteen, " He started, already visibly embarrassed. “, and it was in the middle of a semi-final soccer match.” He started scanning the circle, looking for who his victim would be, wanting to divert the attention away from himself as soon as he possibly could. “Richard.” He had found his target. “I dare you to take a body shot off of someone.”
