Blue Royalty: New Blood

From childhood best friend, to girlfriend of four years, Emmy Pierce was someone Piper Flynn couldn’t live without. Emmy was just as important to her as her family was, and Emmy’s family was even like a second family to her, just like Piper’s family saw Emmy as just as much a part of the family too. Emmy knew Piper and her whole family, even her father before he died, and she knew just as well as Piper where the concern was about Eddie. Piper smiled at Emmy’s encouragement of having done well on the test, but then the smile faded somewhat at Emmy’s mention of Paige having enrolled at Cerulean. Piper knew Paige and liked her, but what was that girl doing? There was a worry there for Paige, but also for Eddie. How was her being nearby all the time going to effect him? “ Bloody hell … that’s what Riley was talking about. I think she mentioned something about seeing Paige around school. I don’t even know, Em… I don’t know what any of us even can do to help Paige, or Eddie… Why do our younger siblings have to worry us so much?” Piper asked with a slight sigh. “Yes, let’s go in, and if we see Jess we can let her know about Eddie, and the same with your mom.”

Destiny’s excitement increased when she saw the lights surrounding the carousel. She remembered what it was like when she was a little girl and would need help to get on one of the horses from her dad. She quickly climbed on one of the horses across from Adonis.

‘she couldn’t even tell me before she left’ Adonis’s tone was so negative and it was different from his usually happy tone. She assumed he was talking about his sister. “Your sister probably wants to be alone and grow up fast. She’ll see once she’s older.”

The horses started spinning around and around. She head adons letout a breath when mentioning that everything is so small. “Are you scared?” She asked, assuming that his deep breath pointed to that conclusion.

Slightly shaking her head, Jess shot her husband a we both know that’s a lie look as he tried to say he had no idea about their son’s first word. However, in midst of his train of thought - he retroactively admitted that he knew exactly what she was talking about by asking how she won. “Excuse you. I have Bloody and Hell on my list so I’d say I was pretty damn close to winning, So I basically deserve the win since I actually had a bad word in my list while you thought our kids would say innocent things like dada or soccer Jess stated with a soft smirk forming on her lips, as she placed a kiss on her son’s chubby cheeks, which only made the boy smile bigger as he bounced in his dad’s arms. “Seeeeee, even Ethan thinks I won,” she noted, fixing the boys hair as she waited for Dorian to argue - which, let’s be honest, was inevitable with that pout on his face. She rolled her eyes at his attempt to move on from the conversation, kissing her in the process - which honestly was a bloody good way to distract her. Though, mid-kiss, she heard felt her son trying to push her and Dorian away with his little arms likely thinking mom, dad this is embaresssinnggggg, noottt in public, though what really made Jess move away was when she heard her son, for the first time in person, utter a little “fck” which made her laugh. “What a bloody rascal,” Jess added, moving away giving him a look, as she kissed him her son for the second time.

She found herself raising her eyebrows, however, when Dorian mentioned that the nannies lost their kids. Though her featured turned serious for but a moment, she scrunched her nose “You’re bloody kidding me? They’ve mastered the art of escaping the nannies this young? I mean I was 7, but Zoe’s on a roll,” Jess finished with a smile. It was true, she had her own share of escaping the nannies stories - but good on her kids for beating her own record. I mean, technically, Shay escaped both Jess and Dori when she was 1, but they were evolving. “Come on Doriiii smile. They are literally at a party filled with all their friends and family and just a handful of strangers. They’ll be fine, they’re smart girls. I’ll go wave some nuggets around later and track them down,” she finished. Though, despite any calming down she knew when her husband was frustrated - whether that be because of her dear old cousin Daniel, or the nannies. “Hey, you want to take a walk with me for a little bit? We have some time and that back yard is gorgeous. Let’s teach Ethan to curse out some birds while we’re at it,” she stated with a cheeky expression, grabbing his free hand and pulling him towards the back part of the venue that was unoccupied. “We can talk about how I have once again, won a bet and what I’m going to do with all the favors you owe me,”

Daaammmmn heheh. Mommy used that word alllllll the time, but one time when Shay had said it in school, her teacher told her to go to the principal’s office. She didn’t know what she did wrong, but she got sent home for the entireeeeee day and mommy came and picked her up and they got ice cream. Mommy said something about the school not liking that word, but her school were poo-poos for that because eveerryyyyoneeee said it and it wasn’t even bad because Godfather Andy Nugget would never use a bad word on her. “d…damn what… a nug…nugget,” Shay said, looking at Andy with a grin as she said that to him. Walking back towards him, she giggled at his request to be his flower girl. “Noooooooo Nugteeett, it’s fooor wedddinngggs onnlllyyy,” she revealed that fact to the man. Andy didn’t look like he had cold feet, but how dare the floor lego be mean to him. “Um…um Aidan was playing a few days ago and mommy stepped on a lego and said Bloody motherfcking hell… I know mommy says bloody and hell a lot, but do you know what mother…fcking means Andy?” Shay asked with genuine curiosity. The moment she said it however, she heard Aidan whisper " mo…mot…her…fck…ing " in Andy’s ear, almost as if he was unsure of the word too.

Though, nothiinnnggggg could beat the grin on her face and genuine excitement she felt when Andy said yes to her request of the drawing on her arm. Now EVERYONE would know she was a flower girl and a nugget. Could life get any better than this? Let Shay answer that question for you: no, no it could not. “Thank you, thank you, thannnkkkkkk youuuuu,” she squealed - Aidan copying her and screaming thank you alongside her. “Can I give you one tooooo?” she said, a pleading look on her expression as she put her arm out for the pen. “Annnnnd can we go find nuggets, Andy? Pleasseeeeee. I want to throw nuggets AND flowers when I’m walkinnggg,” she said with a soft smile of determination. After all, she had clearly just come up with the best idea ever - who wouldn’t want their feet to be surrounded by nuggets?

She kept running keeping her pace far ahead of Dean Timothy Huntzberger III, heir the the Huntzberger empire. In… private school… and generally wealthy circles, that was a big name - a name that flaunted money at any issue, no matter the type. He was the type of person who would never get into trouble, simply because of who his father knew… the type of person that could murder a man, and they’d blame it on a local child, simply because putting a Huntzberger behind bars wasn’t done. Suffice to say, Emmy stayed away from those types of people. In retrospect, Emmy’s last name held more weight - being related to Royalty did that - but at the same time, she didn’t use it against people. The worst part about Dean was the ability he could be charming when he wanted… the way he made Piper fall for him… and Emmy was always too scared to say anything because she didn’t want to lose her best friend. Boyfriend or best friend? It wasn’t an ultimatum that Emmy was ever going to give Piper… but that didn’t mean that Piper could… knowingly lie to her best friend about her boyfriend cheating on her.

In her distraction, Emmy hadn’t realized that Dean had caught up to her - roughly yanking her arm back so she was facing him in the crowded room. Clearly, Dean didn’t care about anything else besides getting a point across - but the anger on Emmy’s face was unrelenting. “I suggest you choose your next steps very fcking carefully, Emmy. I’m not the only one with secrets I want under wraps…” She felt his grip tightening to the point of physically hurting, and they both knew it would bruise - but Emmy was too shaken up to move. She found him getting sickeningly close to her, his breath on her skin as he continued. “We both know your in love with Piper. Do you think she actually has any feeling for you? You’re a joke, Emmy. And I can just as easily tell her about that. Who do you think she’ll choose? Her boyfriend? The man she loves and has loved for the past 2 years? Or you?”

In retrospect, maybe Emmy shouldn’t have feared that. Emmy had been friends with Piper years before Dean came along. But there was something about the way he said it… about the way he called her feelings a joke that made her stay quiet. She watched him back away, though, before he had taken his hand off of Emmy, the man was pushed agains the wall harshly. “Huntzberger don’t you ever, and I mean ever,” her brother started, pushing him against the wall for the second time. “Touch. My. Sister. Again.” Emmy was too shaken up to do anything as Will punched the man - Dean falling to the floor holding his bloody jaw as he started cursing William out. Though, Will didn’t care as he walked over to Emmy, gently holding her arm and looking at her. “Emmy, are you okay. Did he do… anything… are you…”

No.

She wasn’t okay.

End of Flashback

Emmy didn’t let her girlfriend go, keeping Piper in her hands as she laid her head against her’s. Could you tell she missed her? Oh she bloody missed her so damn much. There were different stages of long distance… and honestly, after the initial depression, Emmy was stuck in the throwing herself into work phase. Most of her days were now spent at Parker Industries - and honestly, Emmy couldn’t count the number of days she had slept in her office, having to tell her secretary to get her a new suit. Jezebel and Daniel had both confronted her about it in the past… but was it bad that she found comfort in her work. If she was busy… she didn’t have to miss Piper… it just… it worked. They talked whenever they could… but the time difference didn’t exactly help with that either. “God I missed you,” she whispered again, pulling Piper in for another kiss and getting lost in her intoxicating scent. She would have done that forever if she could… but they were a little busy… and at a wedding, hence moving the conversation to other things.

Paige… after all… was an interesting topic. “Yeah… I don’t think Paige ever forgave Eddie… I still remember how she was when you all left… and… it wasn’t good. One of her many spirals…” Emmy sighed. If there was one thing Emmy knew about her sister, it was the fact that she could keep a grudge. As her girlfriend asked her about why their younger siblings had to worry them, Emmy simply shrugged. “The life of being an older sibling… no one said it was easy,” she added with a soft chuckle before looping her arm in her girlfriend as they walked inside. Though Emmy couldn’t see Jess, her mother was easily found. Adelaide Pierce always had a way of… well… drawing all attention in a room to her. She clearly gave that skill to the other girls in the family, but Emmy… well… let’s just say she never had that skill.

The moment they reached Emmy’s mother, Em grinned as the woman tightly wrapped her arms around Piper and making a slightly unsolicited comment about the two being next in getting married after Jezebel. “Mummmm, Piper just got here can we hold off any embarrassment for after the actual ceremony at least?”

Did Paige care about anyone overhearing her sexapade with the man in front of her? No, no she didn’t. She gave absolutely no sht - screw the royals in the room who looked down on her for that fact. As if they don’t all fck their family - how else did they make blonde ass blue-eyed kids? In-breeding, obviously. So you want to talk about who was disgusting? It wasn’t Paige Pierce, that was for sure. Taking a drink of her champagne, Paige looked towards the man - her eyebrows raised with curiosity to see how he’d react. Would he be nervous? He seemed like the type to be nervous and with his response, she found herself rolling her eyes. “Didn’t bring your camera this time? Maybe if you did we could have filmed part two… how sad,” Paige added with a bored expression, leaning against the wall as she took another sip of her drink. Her attention was completely on the man in front of her, though Paige had also mastered the art of making it seem like she wasn’t. “I think you’re mistaking me for someone who actually cares why you’re here, Evan. I was just stating a fact. I didn’t expect to see you here. I didn’t ask for your entire life story,” Maybe Paige was being crude, but so what? She had every right to be crude. If you didn’t like it, then go home. Though the girlfriend was someone she knew. Paige wasn’t an idiot, she knew who his sister was. I mean, how could she not with Emmy talking nonstop about Piper Flynn. All that lovely Dovey stuff was just annoying, to be honest though. “Remind me, if you were a “driver” here for your sister, why did you decide to come in? Clearly, you look out of your element,”

”a damn nugget for sure” he said, returning the smile. ”what do you mean ItS fOr WedDinGs OnLy well that’s just not fair.” Andy :triumph:ed at the statement, clearly this was just outrageous and if he wanted a flower girl in a daily basis that’s a valid thing to want okay.

But then she told him the story of how they learned the word motherfcking, asking what it meant as Aidan whispered it in his ear too oh no Aidan not you too- ”noo we don’t say that” Andy shook his head ”it’s a very bad word mama nug didn’t mean to say it” he told them. Having kinda avoiding swearing is pretty tough if you ask me, they just hear it and repeat and that’s just where the mess begins. It reminded her of the time Kaya called her second grade teacher a w@nker and was expelled. (Oopsie)

”yes of course” he said with a smile and handed her the pen ”we should find nuggets, but why would you throw them that’s a waste of good nugget we could have eaten” Andy asked in somewhat confusion ”I think we should eat them instead. what do you say?”

”Definitely agreed” she replied with a light nod. Well… it’s not like bringing a date was actually her choice, technically she wasn’t even invited it was her brother who brought her there, but either way, it’s not like she had a date to bring, and that was absolutely her choice. After all, the divorce came from her and not from her ex husband, guess sometimes you just got to do what’s best for you and not think of other people, or is she wrong?

As they turned to go outside, people were on their way out as well and the passageway became quite crowded, and let me just tell you crowds are a pain in the fcking a.ss, so as Finley suggested they go find another way, Nora didn’t see a reason to say no. ”sure, why not” she said and started following him.

Talking a little as they walked, the boy told her how school was going, ”they aren’t too bad honestly” and then mentioned something about his dad mentioning a dinner on Friday, which with all honesty she did not remember anything about, but at the same time she wasn’t always paying attention when it came to plans. Smiling as he said he was looking forward to it, Nora moved a little rough hair behind her ear as walking ”hmmm, it’s possible, I wasn’t really paying attention lately, but, if you’re looking forward to it I’ll talk to him, see if we could set something up” she said with a soft smile making herself a mental note to talk to Sam ”you won’t find me complaining”

“I’m sorry Andy nugget, don’t be sad. I can throw flowers for you,” she mumbled with a pout, hugging him tighter. “But…but you liveee sooooooo farr away. I can throw petals on our daily video calllllll,” she revealed, coming up with a solution to the problem they had. Why did Andy haveeeee to live sooooo far away. Mommy and daddy and her lived in Miami, Florida and he liveeeddd all the way on the other side in Beryl, California so she barely ever sawww him in person. That’s why she was so happy today because here he was, drawing on her arm again. She missed this :frowning: .

When he told her that they don’t say that she covered her mouth. She didn’t want to say a bad word, but mommy said bloody hell was okay at home. She didn’t know the other one wasn’t okay. “I’m sorrrryyyyyyyyy,” she started with a pout, her lip quivering thinking she did a bad thing. “I didn’t…I didn’t mean to Andy Nug…get… I… I’m sorry” she could feel the start of tears forming in her eyes until Aidan wiggled out of Andy’s arms, going to his sister and hugging her. “Don’t cry… sissy,” he whispered and she tried to be strong for him. “Oh…okay Aidan,” she finished, trying to distract herself when Andy handed her a pen. Uncapping it, she smiled seeing her brother jumping to see what she was drawing and so, she involved him by wrapping his hand around the pen before her hand on top of his to guide his hand since he was still learning to write. On a free part of Andy’s hand (which was realllllly hard to find by the way) Shay wrote a small “Shaydan’s Nugget,” in her handwriting smiling when she finished.

“OHhhhh okay okay let’s eat them instead Anddyyy,” she told him, holding his hand before pulling him towards where she thought the food was. Though on the way there, Aidan got distracted seeing Josie and running towards him, before pulling him back towards Anddyyy. “Hhiiiiiii Jossieeee. Do you want nuggets? Me and Andy and Aidan are looking for some,” Shay watched as her cousin Josie, looked up at Andy for a few seconds, his head moving to the side with familiarity but after a few seconds, the boy nodded “Okaayy Shay,” he soon responded - holding Andy’s other hand as they walked towards the kitchen.

Daniel’s eyes narrowed as the girl who looked like his wife asked if VC was his neice. “Well, when choosing her name - I think it was kind of a natural choice to name her after people we cared about and lost but clearly…” he started with a chuckle, rolling his eyes when he thought back to the fact that Charlotte was also alive, “We were both wrong.” Daniel knew what happened to Veronica… scratch that… Daniel thought he knew what happened to Veronica. After all, forgetting the story about your wife’s worst nightmare wasn’t something easily forgotten. That moment haunted Val for most of her life - but at the same time, he knew his wife would never lie to him. Daniel had never lied to her either and whenever she talked about Veronica… there was never any hesitation in her voice at the pain she felt over her sister’s death. “I don’t know you either, darling, but for some reason, you share a face with my wife and probably should be 6 feet under, but instead, you’re standing here so I would love to know what happened. Correction, I think my wife would love to know what happened.” Though, his eyebrows rose with her sentiment of she’ll be very disappointed, “And why would that be the case? Val believed just as much as I did that you were dead. I don’t think disappointed is the applicable word in this case. Maybe more shocked with a tinge of thinking she was hallucinating would be closer to the right track,”

He raised his eyebrows at her sentiment about no one expecting her - though another thing that was also clear was her tone of voice. She clearly didn’t like Mason… and honestly, he couldn’t blame her after what he did. “No, I guess no one really did. So why are you back, Amanda?” Mason asked with his curiosity peaking through. As she somewhat answered that question - he did notice that she never answered the why of everything. Why did she leave… why did anyone leave for a year. Mason doubted it was because of him… though the timeline did somewhat match up with her disappearance. That wasn’t something he needed to ask, however. If it was him, she’d tell him and clearly, she wasn’t saying anything.

Though a sigh left his lips with her next sentiment about his break up. “I appreciate the concern, Amanda, but don’t worry about me and Sienna. We’re fine, just taking a little break which is why she’s not here. For someone staying away from social media, you clearly seemed to have gotten on top of everything you missed really fast - or are you always looking for updates on my love life?” he questioned, his lighthearted tone from earlier disappearing as he posted the question. He was getting annoyed with the various mentions from people about him and Sienna. They were FINE people. One kiss wasn’t going to change that. Especially not a kiss he did simply for Blue Royalty points. Olivia meant nothing to him, she never had.

As the ride came to an end, Leon found himself feeling almost…relieved? It felt like the wrong word to use but at the same time, it was the only word he could think of. Relieved and grateful that the conversation was coming to end and that he could actually walk away. Once the restraints loosened, he stood up and got off the ride without saying anything else to Elijah. He walked over to where Young-Mi was waiting and once he stopped walking, she linked their arms again but before he could say anything to her, Elijah came up and apologized, which Leon honestly hadn’t expected him to do. Furthermore, he could tell that he was being genuine. Then Leon said three words he had never expected to say to Elijah. “I forgive you.”

Riker knew the moment he told her about Amie, there was a change in the way she stood. Over the years, Riker had learned how to know exactly what she was thinking without her even saying it. He knew when she was having a bad day at work, he knew when her period started and when to go get her all of her favorite snacks, he knew when something was wrong. Riker knew when Lexie was born, something was wrong. Maybe… maybe he just didn’t want to face the fact that maybe the problem was him - but the way she was snapping at everyone… the way she didn’t want to cuddle at night… he knew it was him. Everything in those few months had to lead up to the moment where she broke his heart, but it would be a lie if Riker said he had no idea it was coming. He knew. At this moment, he knew telling her about Amie hurt her. There was the slightest of frowns that met her lips before disappearing and it hurt him to hurt her.

Maybe it was time to talk. Maybe it was time to figure everything out so it wouldn’t hurt their kids anymore… even if that meant they were separating. Amie was caught in the middle right now, and he didn’t want her to be. However, with her Not now… his heart fell again. He knew they were at a wedding and that she was right, but it was a conversation they needed. Though… if it waited 6 months, it should be able to wait a few hours. “Right…” he mumbled, not knowing what to say besides those words. Though, when she asked about their daughter, there was no hesitation in Riker as he kissed his daughter one last time and handed her over to Elodie, where the girl started slightly crying. It was clear her bond with Riker was still stronger than her bond with Elo. “I’ll be back sweetheart, don’t worry okay?” Riker grinned, tickling her slightly so she’d stop crying and smile. “You can… go outside with Lexie. I’ll be there soon, I just need to see if I can… catch Jordan first. Don’t worry about saving me a seat,” he added, waving bye to his little girl again before walking away towards another familiar figure.

“Mrs. Bestwoman… any chance you know where I can find Jordan?” Riker asked, approaching Yara from the back and smiling when she turned around. The two had been friends for years and it was likely something that would never change. Once upon a time he loved the girl standing in front of him, and now they were close friends. That’s just how things worked sometimes.

Veronica nodded silently as he explained his daughter’s name to her, and honestly for a moment there she felt a tick in her heart at the fact that Valerie named her daughter after her. Did it mean something? Or… nah never mind

The girl crossed her arms as listening to Daniel’s rant about how she was supposed to be dead but is standing here, like geez boy relax I’ve never even met you, why is it so bloody urgent for you that she’ll be dead? Get on with the program. But one thing he said ticked her nerves and she stopped listening, calling him out in return ”she thought I’m dead because she’s the one who bloody killed me, of course she thought I’m dead” she stated, annoyance in her tone.

”well of course she’ll bloody be shocked, because nothing ever fell on her in this stupid bloody story, she fcking shot me and everyone just hid that fact like nothing happened, my parents knew i was alive all along, but they chose to ignore me and stick to my sister, like I was nothing.” She continued, finishing her drink as she really bloody needed it ”just look at her, she got everything a girl could possibly bloody want, she graduated, shes all rich and famous and married to a trilionaire. And who do you think got my moms inheritance? You guessed it, Bloody Valerie. ” she added. Spite in her voice and coursing through her veins ”I bloody loved that girl so much, she was my whole world, but guess life is just so much easier without me. If she wanted to find me she would have done it, it wasn’t that hard.”

Things were going great. Great. Going in the right direction… literally. Leading Nora to “another exit”, Finley was happy to see she had no problem holding this pointless, fake little conversation he did not care about. What he cared about was that dinner he hoped Nora would say yes to. The only problem is he didn’t want to be anywhere near his father but that’s a problem for some other time. Another thing Finley cared about was where they end up now. Maybe he didn’t have a goal when he first approached her, but now? Just wait.

”Oh,” hearing she did not remember something that, sorry Nora, his father never asked her, Finley tried to sound sad, maybe even disappointed. ”That would be great but only if you want to. I don’t want to trouble you,” and that’s exactly how you get someone to do something you want. Sure, she said she wouldn’t complain but a little push wouldn’t hurt. ”Come, this way,” a soft smile still on his lips, he led her to the last door he could see. A door that she probably thought would lead to a garden that was connected to the place of the ceremony or something like that… Well, no. Sorry, it will not.

”Wrong door,” the moment he opened it and saw “he made a mistake”, Finley gave Nora an apologetic smile but still proceeded to get her inside that room. So he quickly entered it himself and started talking about the first thing that caught his eye and that would hopefully get her interested enough to follow him. Too bad that was some lame huge painting he thought was horrendous. Why did someone paint that, and why did someone put it here? ”Pretty, isn’t it?” Waiting for Nora to get to his side, Fin continued, now looking at her with a playful smile. ”The… painting… I mean.” Now that they had some privacy and it was unlikely for someone else to walk in, he let himself give Nora his full attention but still picking his words carefully to not scare her off. ”Have I mentioned how beautiful you look?” Slowly, he took a step closer to her, his gaze shifting from her eyes to lips. ”Excuse me for being so straightforward.”

“Are you daft or just plain stupid?” Daniel asked with genuine curiosity. Clearly he got the better twin - not that there was any comparison. Oh fck, how was Dan going to tell Val he accidentally kissed her sister that they both assumed to be dead. It’s not technically cheating right? He didn’t mean to… sht… it’s fine… another trip to Disney it is. Despite where his mind was, Dan easily moved back to the conversation at hand…

“…It honestly seems to be the latter because if you really think Val did that on purpose when she was an actual…literal child, you’re absolutely bonkers and I rather my wife continue to think you’re dead at that point,” Dan added. Was he being rude? Maybe. But look who you’re talking to: Daniel Parker was almost always rude and the fact that this girl seemed almost upset at his wife annoyed him. Valerie did nothing wrong. She was a kid, and hoenstly, there shouldn’t have been a gun within reach at the Azure residence. That was honestly the problem in all of this: The Azure family was fcking crazy. They took his sister… they sold off their OWN fcking kid and for what? As if the Azure’s had any real reason to sell off their child. Richest in the world? Really? Fck you Azure family. Fck you for brainwashing his own sister into actually thinking they were good people - come over here Akielah, look at this bullsht.

“Darling, maybe your parents knew you were alive… I mean… they’re Azure’s… I’m not surprised, your family is absolute bullsh!t anyways. But Valerie? She actually believed that you were dead for the last three decades and mourned you for that long too. As for your second notion: Yes, she is rich, famous, married to a very handsome trillionaire…” he started, fixing his suit with a little smirk. “… but your bloody family did nothing for that, my love, Val worked for everything she has” Dan stated, rolling his eyes at the girl’s additional sentiments. Crazy. Yep - that’s the only word for it. Just like Akielah was psychotic, so was this girl. Apparently one twin in the Azure family was always crazy. Elettra or whatever her name was, and now Veronica. Kind of disappointing he named his daughter after her. “As for your mother’s inheritance - Valerie got rid of that very fcking quickly. Sweetie, she donated all of that money to a children’s charity she created in your name, so don’t give me this bullsht without doing some research,” . He let her speak now, explaining how it wasn’t hard to find her. “It’s kind of hard to know to look for someone when you think they’re in a casket in London, darling. But why don’t we just ask my wife since you’re so sure?”

With that, he didn’t wait for her answer as he clicked his watch - automatically connecting to Valerie’s phone whether she picked up or not. Basically it was a direct line to her phone, and he could speak without anything stopping him. It wasn’t something he used often, but it did it’s job. “Hello darling, yes. It’s me on your phone. Yes that means I kind of hacked it so I’d get through. Anyways, do me a little favor and meet me in the main hall by the bar. I have someone you would simply… love to meet,”

~Ethan’s Train of Thoughts~

Hello you! Yes, you reading this. Hi! I’m Ethan. Obviously the cute one in the family, but if you couldn’t tell which one that was, I’m the one on the right. Wait… left… no right. Okay… I haven’t learned my right from my left yet so don’t judge me. I’m the one FRONT AND CENTER. You see me? Yeah youuuu see mee. I’m a cutie. Anyways, I have so much more to offer than knowing my lefts and my rights… like being the cute twin. I mean LOOK at me. I am ADORABLE. Don’t listen to Grayson when he makes his little mumbles and smiles and bounces when mom and dad come around. He’s cute, don’t get me wrong - but I’m cuter. Obviously.

Anyhowwwww, life as a 8 month old is pretty sweet. My hobbies include sleeping, drinking milk - sooooo goood by the way, and obviously being cute. I mean… did you read the first part? I obviously like being cute. Everyone comes around me and kisses me and it’s honestly a great life. Everyone does everything for you - can this just like, be forever? It was a sweeeeet life. Like, take today. Besides the itchy suit and bowtie he was wearing, Ethan loooooveeeed the attention. His servant… nanny? whatever was holding him and everyyone was coming up to him and calling him cute. Okay them cute because Grayson was with him. Stop hogging the spotlight Grayson. That’s actually exactly what he told his brother in baby language, though you would probably just hear:

“baaa baadmebaameahh”

It’s okay. Ethan understood - baby language was hard to understand for big people. It’s fine. Maybe one day, these big people would be as smart as him.

“nnmmmmbah bahh”

Which basically translated to No you Rude. See - clearly the better twin right here - on the right… or was it left? Whatever, It’s fineee, his brother was pretty cool usually. They had good conversations most of the time, it’s just when they were in a room full of people, they both wanted a lil attention. That’s EXACTLY why when his mom came and Grayson was a lil distracted, Ethan cried putting his hands out. Two birds with one stone, you know? 1. Food and 2. love from mama. Gray was too slow for him because his mom immediately picked him up instead of Grayson. Ha Gray, take that. But while mama was distracted, his siblings were clearrllyyy being sneaky. He saw Shay and Aidan take off in one direction and Zoe take off in another. “Sababaeisi mafepjgpe fe apfeap” Ethan told his mom, trying to point at his siblings. But noooo she wouldn’t listen to him. It was fine though, they’d be okay right? Hopefully.

Either way, within a few seconds he was tooooo distracted drinking milk. Ahh, life was good. BUT THEN SHE LEFT HIM WITH DAN. He was fine in general, but did he haveeee to be so mean to his dad? rude. And he was holding him veeryyyyy uncomfortably. But after a while, he finally held him tighter and Ethan sighed with relief. “fabbbabaeed” he told his cousin, basically translating to DON"T DROP ME. Though he wasn’t listening to him as he talked to someone to get some juice. How come Ethan didn’t get juice in that round holding thingy? It looked cool, but when he told his cousin he wanted some he was ONCE AGAIN ignored. Instead his cousin ran around getting different things from people. But finalllyyyyy, he was back in another room and his dad was there. HEY DAD. A bright smile met his lips as he bounced in his father’s arms. His dad was actually paying attention to him. It was great.

“Was your mean uncle meaner than usual?”

“afaaahhbb coo addweded” he responded, telling his father how Dan was Okkkkayyy but he didn’t pay ANY attention to him. SOooo roodeeee. Clearly his dad had learned how to speak baby because he was responding to him.

“I thought so… I’m so sorry, buddy.”

“sseeebbb deeebbbdede” in other words, shucks dad, it’s okay.

That conversation continued with boooothhhh Ethan and dad trashing danny - honestly it was realllllllly funny. But then dad said a really interesting word. Fck… he had never heard that one before. Hmm. Ethan found his lips trying to say it with his father. “F…fck,” Oh he did it. Okay that wasn’t so hard. See. He could speak adult too. Look at how smart he was. He could speak baby and adult and his parents couldn’t. His dad was saying something to him but he was tooooo excited to say the new word again. His cousin started saying something, but saying this word took connnnncentration and so Ethan stoped paying attention to anything but saying the word. Over and over again. Look dad, I CAN SPEAK ADULT. LOVE ME MORE. CAN GRAYSON SPEAK ADULT? Nope. And clearly, since his dad started giving him more attention after he said the word, he was on the right track. So he did it again, and again, and again. His dad was joking around with him, telling him how funny he was and then trying to get him to say another word. Buuuut his word was more fun. “Fck,” he repeated.

He found his dad walking outside of the room - byeeeee dannnnn - and then they started going back to the nannies. BUT WAIT DON’T LEAVE ME THERE AGAIN. I LIKE IT WITH YOU. He tried to say, but the good thing was that his dad was distracted because his siblings left. “japbabpapcaedm” He was explaining to his father how he tried to tell mom earlier, but she wasn’t listeninnnnggggg, but then they left again. BYEEE GRAYSONNN Ha, I WIN AGAIN.

And then his mom was there again and he laughed with her hi, responding to her and telling her everyyyything that happened when he was gone but then she started talking to dad. sigh will no one ever listen to him? Oh well - tis was the life of a 8th month old. Some good things - likkekeeeeee you know, being cute and all. But also, no one listens. If only people will learn baby. It’s fine, Ethan was smart, he’d just learn adult instead :triumph: One “Fck,” at a time.

Weddings, a celebration of love and happiness as two people vow to be together for the rest of their lives. Of course, even Sophie couldn’t deny the fact that some marriages don’t work out in the end and divorces happen, but there was still the principle of what a wedding meant. Weddings are all about love and telling the world that you can’t see yourself without this person in your life. Needless to say, Sophie absolutely loved weddings, even if she’d never actually been to one before. How was Sophie getting to go to the wedding of the year you may ask, well that’s because of Alex. He was on the list himself, and asked Sophie to be his date. Even if they weren’t dating like they once had, Sophie still cared about him, even if they were just friends. As Sophie was sitting down with her mom fixing her hair, she heard the doorbell, meaning Alex was there. The problem was, Sophie wasn’t quite ready yet, so Alex was downstairs with her dad. Granted, the 6 foot tall black man that was her father wasn’t the intimidating one in the room. Her father was protective, but he was a man that had always been one for books, and science over athletics and conflicts. Anyone that knew anything about the man behind the glasses knew he was the furthest from intimidating. The concern however, was in regards to her uncle, who was just as protective over her as her parents were, and she couldn’t blame him. Her uncle had seen some of the worst of humanity. He had seen the scum of the world, the people who cause those who deserve good, unimaginable pain, the ones who hurt the innocent in the worst ways imaginable. He dealt with everything that would give someone nightmares to go through, and wanted the best for his niece. With her mom finishing helping her get ready, Sophie made her way down to save her friend from the ongoing lecture of “bring her home by this time, if anything happens to her…” and so on, the typical protective parent speech from her dad and uncle. With goodbyes out of the way, Alex and Sophie were off to the wedding. With Alex driving, Sophie sitting in the passenger seat, singing along to every song that came on the radio that she liked. The mood was just lighthearted. Two friends hanging out and going to a wedding together, even if they were also exes, and there was a part of Sophie that did think back to the time they were dating. Though that didn’t matter, they were just friends now, and Sophie would still care about Alex as a person and enjoy being around him. Being at the wedding though, Sophie was in awe of the grandeur of the event. ”Doesn’t this place seem like it came right out of a fairytale?” Sophie asked with a smile. “It just seems so amazing. Don’t you think?”
