Consistently in her life, Annie had bad experiences with the males in her life. Maxon, her first love, had cheated on her. Quinn blames his sisterâs death on her. Jordan doesnât know who she is. Whoever her birth father is gave up on her. Hell, even Ezekiel probably hated her at one point. She could, very much, go on. She didnât know much, but she knew there was a common denominator in those relationships, maybe Annie created problems wherever and to whoever she came across. There was a lot of things wrong in Annie Williamsâ life, and quite possibly she was responsible for all of it, but maybe there was one exception to that.
Enrique Montoya over time had become more than just some random guy she had detention with. Against her own efforts, he had become a part of her life, and someone she had began to care about. Fvck. She cared about him. And maybe more than that. Well it had to be more than that, because why else would Annie Williams be going to prom. Prom at a time like this, no less. There was still question as to why she was attending, but alas she was sat in the passenger seat of a car headed straight to the venue.
Entering the venue, however, reminded her of why she has never come to these before. Almost immediately upon arrival, Ricky left to the bathroom to which Annie was now stood alone. She slowly advanced into the main hall, ignoring the punch that she could guarantee had been spiked or something. For a moment she joined the back of the crowd, looking for a face she remotely recognised.
That was until her attention was brought to someone weaving their way through the crowd, bumping into her upon his travels, finally stopping at the stage revealing his face. Annie looked around to watch others noticing Quinn Castilloâs occupation of the stage, soon enough he had everyoneâs attention - though she seemed to be the only one looking apprehensively. As he began, Quinn looked at her. Though it wasnât difficult for him to find her, as those who stood next to her had now distanced from her, there was no hiding from it. Fvck, he is about to say anything right now. And he truly did say anything and everything. Well, everything that he knew. Recalling the situation making her biggest regret, public knowledge to everyone.
âI wasnât- she didnâtââ He had left a lot of questions open to Annie, and questions that camera flashes around her were waiting for her to answer. How can she explain any of it like this? She couldnât answer, and Quinn knew that. She shook her head, perhaps to shake off any emotion that had been displaying off her face. âI donât think she would have wanted her death to become some prom spectacle, Quinn,â Annie told him, gesturing towards the circle of phones that had formed around her. âEspecially when itâs something you clearly understand so little.â Annie called over to him. While that statement he had proved to be true, there was a part of her that perhaps said that for the irritated effect it would have on Quinn.
Though Quinn swiftly moved on to the next person on his list. And as quickly as he did, the people around her dispersed to reform to the next target Ari Lee. Wasting no time, Annie turned with intentions to leave though immediately was faced with Ricky, who would have been amongst the majority of people hearing about that for the first time. Once again, she had no explanation for Quinnâs words, and she didnât want to think about what he could think about her now. All she could do was shake her head, and begin to just walk straight past him.
