“You’re right, you’re right. This is what you call a surprise,”
At that, Jordan brought out his signature smile. Well, that’s apparently what his fans had begun to call it - which he learned about while he was in that awkward interview with BuzzFeed reading about “thirst tweets” with half of them mentioning his smile. That being said - Jordan had absolutely no idea what they were talking about, all he knew was that at this moment, standing in front of his closest friend that he hadn’t seen in months, Jordan Williams couldn’t help but have a giddy grin upon his features. “Well, I do aim to please. Especially if it’s for the one and only Elodie DeLoughrey. After all, you deserve the world,” Jordan explained before rolling his eyes when she tried to convince him that she was the lucky one.
“Nuh uh. Only one of us can look that good in that dress - and trust me Elodie, it’s not me. So I’m pretty sure I’m the one who won the lottery in best dates in the world” Jordan responded almost immediately - happy when she said yes to going on the date with him. However, despite the excitement in her voice, there was… something else there, even if Elodie didn’t come out and say it immediately. If it had been two years ago when the two were closer than ever… maybe Jordan would have called her out on it. Told her that she could tell him anything and he wouldn’t judge. But as of now, Jordan didn’t know if it was his place anymore. So instead, he did what he did best and attempted to make her forget about whatever had brought her down momentarily. “I will apologize in advance because when I say we’re going to dance the night away - I mean it. Soooo you’re feet mightttt be killing you in a few hours - but I promise I can give you a piggyback home,” Jordan laughed, playfully smirking as he walked in after her as she took the flowers to the sink.
“And say hi to my parents so we can go? I’m just a bit impatient.”
“Well you don’t have to tell me twice,” Jordan laughed as she disappeared into the kitchen leaving Jordan to enter the living room and surprise Elodie’s waiting parents who quite literally screamed and ran to hug him when he entered. “I missed you to Mr. and Mrs. DeLoughrey” he exclaimed as the three begin to talk about what Jordan had been doing since he left. Jordan kept talking until Elodie walked back into the living room and Jordan walked over to her and pulled her further inside.
“Do you mind taking a photo of us Mrs. DeLoughrey, I personally want to remember this moment,” Jordan laughed walking behind Elodie and wrapping his arms around her as he smiled for the camera as Elodie’s parents happily obliged. After a fewwww too many photos, Jordan added “Alright - I’m sorry Mr. and Mrs. DeLoughrey but I should probably take Elodie to the dance now. I already showed up late to pick her up which I feel awful about and I don’t want her to hate me by taking her to prom super late. It was lovely seeing you again and I promise to visit more often,” Jordan added, hugging the two one last time before smiling at Elodie and putting his hand out. “You ready?” He mumbled before leading the girl to the limo and opening the door for her - joining her inside moments later.
“So you ready El?” Jordan asked, nudging her arm jokingly as he awaited a response.
