Never in a million years did Valerie expect her prom night to look like this, it was just perfect. She was so worried everything was going to mess up but up until now nothing has, so the worries slowly faded from her mind.
“Of course. You’re an amazing girl Valerie, you deserve to have a wonderful night.”
She couldn’t help but smile, it was the first time in a very long time if ever, that someone said something like that to her. Not that she believed it, but it was still nice to hear either way.
Valerie bit her lip. It might have been the punch, or the music, the dancing, the moment, or all of the above mashed up together. Whatever it was, at that moment Valerie felt as if they were in a small bubble and nothing mattered.
She was happy, and next thing she knew she raised her short self a bit on her tiptoes and gave him a light kiss. She wasn’t thinking much, but something in her just wanted to do that, so she did, lightly pulling back and looking down with a small sheepish smile ”Sorry about that” she said, even though she probably didn’t need to, unless he had a problem with it.
