“Fine Daniel. Then you’ll leave her alone.”
These were words that could only bring a smile to the man’s features. Daniel Parker was many things, but a liar… at least when it came to his favors… was not one of them. That was a fact that almost everyone in this building knew. Daniel was an as$hole, but his word did hold value. “Then I’ll leave her alone,” Daniel responded as Maverick finished his drink and walked away. “Tick tock Weston,” Daniel whispered as a last goodbye, watching from afar as he reached Brandon and Selena - starting, and hopefully for his sake, finishing the task without getting caught.
Though Daniel could sit and watch, he knew the effects of if Maverick succeeded would be clear on their own - so, instead, Daniel walked over towards the punch to pour him another cup. A grin reached his lips at the girl he saw there - one he had only met through playful banter on social media and one… or technically three… very drunken calls. “Ruby isn’t it?” Daniel questioned, his eyebrows perked as he asked something he already knew the answer to. Sure he could go up to the girl and recite her full name and social security number, but apparently, that wasn’t to be done in polite company. So instead, a simple question of if they are who he thinks they are is a better introduction.
As he waited for her response, Daniel poured two cups of the spiked liquid, holding one out for the girl in front of him. “Did you ever pick up that pizza?” Daniel questioned, referring to the prank call he did weeks earlier with a smile as he took a long drink of the foul liquid.
