As the night progressed, the much anticipated time finally arrived: the announcement of Prom King and Queen. Of course, this wasn’t just about the title, but also about the (almost) guarantee of a permanent spot on Blue Royalty, considering the number of points that came with it. So, when a gold envelope made it’s way onto the stage, everyone’s eyes were on what was going to be inside.

After the DJ went on a painfully long tangent, the two names were finally called, a spotlight dropping on the two who were on separate sides of the hall. The room filled with slow music, as everyone made a circle to watch the Prom King and Queen share a dance.
