Lily watched as her assistant scurried off to go deal with the reporters in the room, opening her phone up as the rest of the guests made their way outside to watch the burial. The woman nodded to her husband as the man told her he would be headed outside and rolled her eyes as Edward gave her a look of disdain before following the rest of the crowd. She still didn’t have any idea what the man was doing here - she had made it clear that he wasn’t invited when the man called about their daughter when the news let out yesterday morning. Though he was the least of her concerns as of right now. Opening her cellphone, Lily Ann was checking her email to see interview requests, and intriguingly, even a few magazines who wanted her to cover due to her daughter’s death. At least a few good things came out of this whole thing - despite it being such a nuisance to hold a funeral.
“Hey, remember me?”
With those words, Lily-Ann took a deep breath, putting her phone away as she brought a sad look on her face once again. “Valeria, of course. My daughter’s best friend. I can’t believe we have to go through this together,” Lily whispered, putting her hand on the girl’s sholder. Though her eyes widened at the girl’s response. Lily-Ann automatically looked around the two of them to make sure np one was listening. Especially after Daniel, this wasn’t… good for her image. A look of annoyance fell upon Lily’s features as she realized there was no one around. “I’m sorry you feel like that, Valeria, but you don’t know anything about my relationship with my daughter. What did she tell you. ‘Oh my mother’s horrible,’ I imagine? Candice didn’t know what was good for herself - and I was making sure her career skyrocketed. She would have had a beautiful life if she didn’t drive herself off a bridge. So don’t you dare say she died because of me - because if she listened to what I had told her to do, she would have been alive and doing a photoshoot this morning with Vogue” Lily-Ann whispered harshly in response to the girl’s words.
What Lily-Ann didn’t expect however was the girl getting physically violent with the woman. How. Dare. She. It only took a moment for the security team to reach the two of them, grabbing Valeria almost instantly as the other one helped her up. “I want her arrested immediately,” Lily-Ann muttered, “You made a mistake Valeria. I was even going to reach out to see if you wanted a few of the things that Candice had in her room - but I guess that’ll just be sold on her fansite now.” Lily muttered under her breath, making sure no one was near her as she said the next words. “You’re out of your league child.” with that, she looked at the guard holding her. “Take her away. I don’t want her on the premises - and tell the groundskeeper that Valeria is never allowed to visit Candice’s plot on the family’s plot,”
