Daniel Parker had actually left the Starbucks in a far better mood than he had entered it… and shockingly enough, it was all due to one person: Valerie Wood. His mind was still reeling on the fact that the two could actually stand each other’s presence. Well… technically they did more than just stand each other’s presence a few days ago – especially while stuck in an elevator. Although, his good mood was soon spoiled as Daniel reached his mansion– a car waiting at his gate. In the darkness, it took him a second to realize who was inside.
Usually, a visit from Jordan Williams would be met with open arms. Though it was clear by the expression on Jordan’s features that Daniel was in for it. Well… more than in for it. Daniel Parker had never actually seen Jordan… fully p^ssed. And this… the man standing outside of his car waiting for Daniel. This was “P^ssed Jordan” in its prime and Daniel wouldn’t lie – it kind of scared him.
Taking a deep breath, Daniel prepared for the worst as he stopped his car. And by worst – he truly did mean a swift kick to his jewels. But that wasn’t what Daniel got. Perhaps he shouldn’t be surprised. Jordan was never a physical person and he never would be – clearly not towards friends. But what Jordan did do, was worse. He… was disappointed. Not the normal Jordan disappointed that Daniel had gotten used to. But an ‘if you don’t fix your act this instant, you’re a goner’ disappointed.
It had taken three hours of yelling between the two – well more, Jordan yelling at Daniel as Dan sat quietly on the hood of his car. But what surprised him was at the end of it all, Jordan hugged Daniel… And if Daniel was being honest, he hadn’t been hugged in a long time. Perhaps that’s what pushed him over the edge. A tumble of emotions hitting him as he realized the exact extent to what he had done to Jezebel Sloane… his sister. His only sister. What had he done?
After a night of revelations, Daniel – running on zero sleep – planned an extravagant “I’m sorry” for Jezebel. The feeling of guilt hadn’t ceased as Daniel employed all of his dogs to help – messages taped to their collars as Jordan helped him. Allowing the dogs in his house in the morning to join Jezebel in bed. A message reading “Look outside.”
The Sky was filled with hundreds of “I’m sorry Jezebel” – courtesy of his skywriters. With him walking sheepishly onto the 49th-floor condo with a large stack of cards in his hand as she looked. Each card said something different. Though when Jezebel turned to see him, he put the cards in order, dropping them as she finished reading.
Hi…
Sis…
Can I call you that?
Sis?I know I messed up
Like
REALLY
Really
Really
Really
Badly.
But…
If you’re willing…
Please
Forgive me…
I’m sorry
X1000 (I would have had a 1000 cards with that on it but the depot ran out this morning so… I wrote it on the sky instead)
I love you.
Dropping the last card on the ground, Daniel walked closer. “I can’t even begin to apologize Jez. But I will make it up one day at a time. I’ll be better… If you let me.” He whispered, more vulnerable in this moment than he had ever been before. Waiting a second before she pulled him in for a hug – one that he immediately returned.

From: Certified Genius“Hey, my driver’s coming by to drive you to school todayyyyyy. Headed to Las Vegas for a trip with Mikel… I know you said it was okay but if you change your mind I can come back in an instant!!!”
With that, Daniel grabbed his suitcase – headed to his helicopter and had it fly him to the airport where he met up with Mikel… and Valerie. Well… that was unexpected. Mikel hadn’t told him there would be an additional guest, especially not one Valerie Wood. Though… he didn’t mind Valerie’s presence anymore. Rather… he enjoyed it. “Wood,” Daniel stated with a slight smile, “Long time no see,” he told the girl as he watched Mikel. “So how about we skip TSA and go on that private jet of yours, Mikel?” Daniel questioned. “Also, I hope you two are ready to make a sh-t ton of money,” Daniel smiled, winking as he grabbed Valerie’s luggage in his other arm without asking and started walking.
In retrospect, the flight to Las Vegas was relatively short – only being around two and a half hours. But after drinking a few mimosas and having a bit of fun for an hour– all three of them were slightly buzzed and tired as it was still 7ish in the morning, Mikel probably being the most, passed out on his seat at the moment. Or at least his eyes were closed and there were airpods in – so Daniel imagined the man had drifted off. “Val. Dare you to draw something,” Daniel stated lazily, throwing a sharpie in her direction, “On him,”
