Elodie May DeLoughrey

“For me too. I was going to reach out to you earlier but every time I tried I would get distracted by something…that something being Netflix”
“Forgiven and understood,” slightly nodding her head, Elodie chuckled genuinely this time. “Only if you tell me you were watching something with really hot guys in it because I don’t know what else could be more important than me,” a joke she quickly added, hoping it would break the little tensions that, probably, only she was feeling. And let’s be real, who can say no to hot guys and Netflix?

“And I just need to freshen up, it will take a minute, I promise,” with the same pleading look she added, seeing Kara was not happy about the offer that she ended up accepting. “Thank you, l with a cheeky smile, Elodie whispered before she started walking towards the bathroom with Kara by her side.

“I saw Ashley Vega trip on a banana peel, It was so funny. She really got what she deserved. I was dying laughing. Were you in the cafeteria when It happened?”
Turning to look at Kara with an “oh nooo” expression on her face, because she felt bad for the girl, she only noticed Kara smiling, laughing about it which brought a small frown to her face. But the idea of that was funny, she couldn’t deny it. “Ashley? Isn’t that the redhead that went to kindergarten with us?” Looking back in front of them as they reached the door, Elodie tried to remember who the girl was but she was almost sure it was her. “Poor girl!” Don’t laugh.” She chuckled saying that but instantly felt bad about it again. “And I wasn’t there but I do, kind of, wish I was.” To help probably, if she was anywhere near her. She couldn’t imagine how she felt at that moment.

Walking in, she opened the little makeup bag she carried in her hand and took out the lipgloss she would wear almost every day. Gently setting the bag down on the counter, previously making sure it wasn’t wet, for a second she looked at Kara’s reflection, putting on a soft smile. “We…” Quietly speaking up, she looked back at herself lifting the lipgloss to her lips almost nervously. This was the part where she had to pretend like she didn’t know anything like she was interested - she should be interested, it’s her friend after all but only if things were different… “We didn’t talk about prom. I know it was a month ago but did you have fun?” Putting on a more confident smile that ended up looking like a smirk, she closed her bag and turned to face Kara fully. Did she really want an answer? “Wait, who was your date again?” Acting like she had no idea, she crossed her arms and leaned against the counter, slightly furrowing her brows as she waited - knowing very well what she’d say. And the moment she asked, she regretted it. Elodie was trying so hard to forget about that incident, to forget about everything and she was doing good sometimes but today was not that day.
