The game started and went on, Valerie was in an exceptionally good mood, in fact, it was the first time in a while she had felt somewhere close to being happy. All these different good things that came up all together, and made her life better.
Ever since she found out about her parents, the two have split and her non-biological-but-more-fatherly-than-the-biological father had moved out into a penthouse apartment he owned (as well as the house they lived in) in the building next to Kai’s and Jordan’s (and Riker). So in the past week or so, Valerie has been staying there, with her father, in an apartment she didn’t actually know existed. Staying out of her mother’s house and away from that woman, was one of the better things that has happened to Valerie lately, not to mention running into her cousin, and well… Daniel. So needless to say, Valerie felt like in a way, her life finally started going in the right direction.
That, until the bottle spun and landed on her, and one Jessica bloody Pierce, turning the happiness on her face to a light frown. oh for fcuks sake
With all honesty, Valerie didn’t want to be stuck in a room with her, especially not now, she’d even prefer being stuck with Emily, and she did not like Emily. “You clearly look p^ssed; so if you rather storm away go ahead. But I’ll be over there,” she whispered to her, and went to the other room. Valerie didn’t want to go, but at the same time she did. This was pretty much the first time since Jessica came back that she hasn’t completely ignored Valerie’s existence and avoided her like a plague. In a way, Valerie wanted closure, Valerie wanted to let out everything she never got to say, to show Jessica just how much she hurt her all these years ago.
So she did, with a subtle sigh, Valerie got up, and right before she got into the room Daniel and Ruby had just come out of, some little fcuker punched Daniel, which made her mad and got her to kick him in the balls. He was an independent man he didn’t need protection and she knew that, but at this point, she couldn’t stand to see someone try to hurt him. She just cared about him too much to let him get hurt, at least not when she can stop it. ”Don’t test me blondie” she said to the boy, who was now on the floor, and turned to walk away, fixing her hair as she followed Jessica.
she entered the room, leaning against a wall with crossed arms “So Valerie… long time no see, or long time no talk… would probably be better since we’ve seen each other quite a bit in the hallways,” The girl said, as Valerie avoided looking her in the eyes, at least at first. As she went on talking, Valerie’s gaze found its way to her, especially… when she apologised. The three words she didn’t think she’ll ever hear come out of the girl’s mouth, I’m sorry Val.
”I’m sorry for leaving… four years ago… and then two years ago in the hotel bedroom… I sent you room service,"
Bloody room service. Valerie let out a breath of a chuckle, looking away from the girl. ”You can’t just get up and leave people over and over” she said shaking her head before looking back at her ”I don’t think you even realise how hard it was for me to forgive you the first time you left. But I did, just to be played with like I bloody you and left. again.” she added, Foolish me she thought to herself, as her mind went on, reminiscing of that day, and how just how hurt Valerie was. Because other than her family and Candice, the one person who could hurt her most… was her. And as much as Valerie tried telling herself she wasn’t hurt anymore, it was a lie, and she knew it.
And then the girl walked closer to her, and cupped Valerie’s cheek as she spoke, “I didn’t know what to say when I came back… I… I’ve missed you and I haven’t really bloody stopped thinking about you,” She whispered, and brought her eyes to meet hers. Valerie looked at her, in those deep brown eyes she hasn’t seen is so long. And next thing she knew, the girl kissed her, making all the emotions Valerie though were long gone and buried, come rushing back in full speed. Valerie’s body, that was stiff and annoyed up until this moment, loosened up as she gave in and kissed her back. Why? God knows, but she did. But could you actually blame her? This was after all the one person she had let herself fall for all these years ago. And hard. Not that it was up to her, obviously she would have preferred to never have had her heart broken, but your heart… your heart is a funny thing, it’s part of you, but god damn it you can’t control who it falls for.
