Seven minutes in heaven was never Elodie’s favorite game. She’d always try to avoid it or avoid anything happening with whoever the bottle lands on - kissing a person she doesn’t know in a small spaces wasn’t an ideal kiss. Until she followed Kara and with a simple nod sat down, joining the infamous game and soon found herself in that situation, but with someone she knew. Just like always, Riker has been a good guy and never tried to push her to do anything she didn’t want, immediately after starting to talk about something random but she didn’t really listen. Her mind was very busy - trying to figure out what she really wanted. Well, at this point she knew what she wanted but she didn’t know how to say it or what to do about it, she was never really in that kind of situation. Stating how she didn’t want to talk seemed too scary for her, but simply kissing him was even worse. And she wanted to kiss him - after a perfect date, the way he’s been treating and stayed patient with her.
Would this be her first time kissing a guy? A guy she liked? Yes. Would this be her first time kissing someone? No, so she knew what she was doing but she was still… scared? A few minutes later, when the both of them were with the rest of the group again, Elodie noticed the screen of her phone lighting up and immediately picked it up to see what the notification was. Immediately unlocked her phone and checked her dms only to find an unpleasant message, from a girl she didn’t know that well but Kara did. Maybe Dorian wasn’t wrong when he tried to convince her how Kara would do the same exact thing he did… because she wanted to do that. It was a simple message, Kara wanted to take points from you but she was scared of get exposed, but it once again left her heartbroken. And once again she pretended she was fine and put her phone down, with a smile shifting her attention back to the game and avoiding eyes contact with the girl.

Of course they’d get tasks… but just one more time and that’s it. It was very nice to know she’d have to do stupid things on her own birthday. Yes, her birthday. And Dorian’s, but that doesn’t matter now. Elodie always loved birthdays but she was never the one to ask for anything - she never really needed anything, she just wanted to see people care about it, her. It was simple as that. The morning went by quickly - their usual birthday breakfast, then lunch, then family coming over because she’d have to leave with Dorian and go to the annual fashion show later. It was a wholesome day until she finally decided to look at her tasks and it would be a lie to say she wasn’t disappointed. Her tasks weren’t necessarily bad. She didn’t mind doing one, at all, but… in front of everyone? The second one was just stupid, she was hoping she could enjoying modelling for a few seconds, make her dad proud… that’s not happening. Or… she could make it not so bad. Getting up from her bed, she opened her closet looking for specific clothes she had somewhere in there - something she wore once, on a special day. There was no giving up, not now when the school year was almost over. At least she could look good arriving at Old Lapis Hall.
With her hair in a high ponytail and silk, pink dress on, Elodie made her way inside with Dorian following behind… not for long. He was quickly stopped by some girls and of course, he wasn’t complaining. Let him enjoy his birthday, okay? That’s what Elodie did - with a chuckle she continued walking inside, passing by the excited students, until she found herself in front of an old, good friend. Or, well, behind him. Gently wrapping her arms around him, she rested her head against his back and spoke up, “Please tell me you’re not here just to watch and you’ll be joining us?”
