Jessica wasn’t upset when she got backstage at the show. No; upset would mean she cared and Jessica Pierce had a rule. No relationships that could harbor any actual romantic feelings. Just fun. Fun that she would enjoy. But even as she was telling herself this - why did she feel a soft pit in her stomach? A soft sigh left her lips as she ran her hands through her hair. She wasn’t one to waste time thinking about things that weren’t worth her time… or at least she liked to sometimes tell herself; far from the truth it really was. So within a few moments; a smile on her lips - Jessica walked over to the designer who she’d worked with before. Thankfully - it wasn’t one of the ones she’d upset by disappearing - though she usually did that after at least a few good shots were taken.
“Well if it isn’t one of my favorite designers,” she smiled at the man as he looked and grinned at Jess; telling her how he was ecstatic to see her name on the modeling list. Though soon enough she was handed a dress and put into hair and make-up; the team straightening her hair as she caught eye of someone clearly sneaking backstage bringing a smile on her lips. Mostly because immediately; a guard had stopped her and asked her where she was going. “She’s with me,” Jessica started turning towards the guard who let Maddy go. “Nice breaking in; next time - grab a fake security badge too,” Jess joked as she pointed to the seat next to her as someone started working on her make-up. The two talked for a bit; discussing - well the most random sh!t you could think of. From rocks on the moon to diamond rings vs gold rings because why the hell not. It was fun; talking to someone about things that didn’t matter for once. Maddy helped Jess get ready in a floor-length ball gown dress and Jess fake gagged when she heard someone come up to her and say “five minutes”
“Oh Maddy,” Jess started; not wanting to leave the girl on her own. Looking around Jessica walked over to Elias who was distracted on his phone and without asking pulled him over towards the two. “Maddy, this is Elias - the 7th grade pen!s flasher during a soccer game; also an actor - I mean look at that face,” she joked - nudging him. “And Elias, this is Maddy; a backstage trespasser and also a German spy who was caught at the border but escaped US TSA prison, anyways, you two have fun,” Jess smiled patting both of their backs as she walked to the staircase leading to the stage and walked up to the side until someone pointed at her to go.
A smile embraced her lips as she started walking down the runway - though with her own twist. She knew what she was expected to do. Walk expressionlessly down the runway. Though what was the fun in that? After all; Jessica Pierce was never one known for following the rules. So she didn’t. instead; Jess swayed down the runway - smiling at her friends in the audience until she reached the end of the catwalk, and smiled at the camera - bringing her hands to make a soft heart before turning around with a soft grin against her shoulder and beginning her descent back. Much in the way she had walked towards the end; Jess made it a show on the way back, swinging her hips as she raised her hands - sending a soft wink to Andy before once again disappearing behind the curtain.
She made her way back down the steps ready to get out of the dress and back into something more comfortable like pajamas though as she went back to where her own clothes were - a girl in front of her blocked her way. Though a noticeable zipper was not all the way up. “Hey your…” jess started; though after a second she just shrugged and went ahead and placed her hand on her back as she pulled the zipper to the top. “Sorry, it just wanted to fix that…” Jess finished looking up to finally see the girl. “Oh… hey Mare.” left her lips moments after as the girl turned around. “You look… gorgeous by the way,” she continued; grabbing her clothes she showed up in as she made the passing conversation.
