May 13th:
Two weeks and it felt like her life had turned upside down. Yes, her mother had found out about her… well the wholeeee not being dead thing. And let’s just say, Lily-Ann Collins was not happy… at all. Though she wasn’t the only one. The world had been running stories about the reappearance of Candice Clarke; some calling it a kidnapping, some calling it a publicity stunt, and so much more. In either case; Candice had been hounded by paparazzi; calling her, calling her lawyers, calling her mother and father for any details they could get.
Despite that; Candice had been staying on the DL - doing all her classes from the comfort of her condo that was surrounded on the ground floor by people trying to get a photo of her. But thankfully; Valerie Wood and her had spent the last few days together helping ground her and bring her back to reality. The two had spent most of it laughing… being normal. It had been a long time since the two of them had been like that and Candice missed her; missed her best friend with all of heart. though sooner or later she’d have to tell the girl something she’d been hiding from her; the fact that she had a child… and how to ever go about that.
Though, perhaps it wasn’t the time to bring that up. Candice sighed, her eyes looking at the ceiling as she thought about all of it again. Valerie was asleep next to her; as they used to do in their sleepovers. They had fallen asleep watching Mean Girls. “Hey Val…” C whispered, waking the girl up. “You have school kid,” she smiled as the girl groaned; something about not waking up.
