Jessica laughed softly at his words, letting the vibrations of her laugh hit his throat as her lips were still playing down his neck; though it soon turned into a soft moan as she felt his hands going down the length of her body. “Is that a promise, Mr. Kingsly?” Jess questioned teasingly, moving her lips away from his neck to speak. “I don’t know if you could Kai; dream sex is surprisingly mind-blowing… I’m not sure if you could compare,” she mumbled, her hand meeting his hair as she tugged it slightly. “Maybe I should try and go back to sleep or…” though before she could finish that sentiment, she felt his lips meet her skin; causing her eyes to flutter close for a second. She swore he did that on purpose to shut her up half the time but… hell, she wouldn’t complain… and she definitely didn’t as she pushed his body against wall - taking control of the situation.
“You know we should probably stop doing that” Jess smiled; walking over to the man sitting on the chair reading the New York Times. Wrapping her arms around the back of the man; she placed a soft kiss on his cheek. “The sex in the shower I mean. We really should focus on getting clean in the shower, but you’re too busy distracting me and we only end up needing another shower,” she joked before looking over his shoulder to see the article he was invested in. Something about a double homicide that happened a few days ago in New York. She allowed her eyes to read through it, leaning against his shoulder as she did so. If there was one thing Jess loved - it was reading the news in the morning. Call her old-fashioned… hell, okay fine she was definitely old-fashioned (in some senses) after all she barely even used her phone but there was something about reading the news from an actual paper that she loved. Perhaps it was the feeling of the paper in one’s hand or something about looking at the small justified text; she enjoyed it. “And you say New York is better than London. Me: 1, you: 0 Kai,” Jess added before kissing his shoulder one more time and walking towards the kitchen where she was making herself a cheese omelet. As much as she would have loved ice cream for breakfast; Jess had finished that last night - so here she was cutting peppers for the food she was making. Though she didn’t mind; she hadn’t cooked in a while - the last time being for her little siblings a few weeks ago. While she was cutting; Jess had her phone open to instagram stories so they were shifting through as she cut. And perhaps it wasn’t the best Idea to be cooking and be on one’s phone but it was here and she was more than a little behind on what was going on.
Though when she saw Valerie Wood’s most recent post about it being Kai’s birthday; her eyes widened as she looked over at the man. “Kai is it your bir-” though she didn’t get to finish the sentence. Jess was still cutting the vegetable and it seemed in her distraction; she brought the knife down on her pointer finger and thumb - cutting both of them deeply. “Motherfcking, fcking balls, sh!t,” Jess groaned almost silently - though in her head she was cursing the hell out of something; putting the knife down as she bit her tongue to stop herself from shouting and grabbed as many paper towels as she could grab and held it against her fingers. “Kai… 1. It’s your birthday and you didn’t bloody tell me and now I’m upset. 2. Can you drive me to the ER because I’m kind of bleeding out and I’m pretty sure if I do it myself; my car will look like a murder scene,” Jess questioned sweetly.
