She missed it, the lightness, the free and fun feeling she had when with cc, they were always like that, just, good. Valerie always felt good, happy when around her best friend, it was a feeling of home, peace, and happiness. And she loved it, and missed it so badly all this time.
Candice seemed to be very excited on Valerie reaching the list of blue bloods, but as much as Valerie herself was also excited about it, she knew it wouldn’t last, so she didn’t let herself get too happy about it and face the disappointment to come. This game wasn’t about wanting it and doing your best, it was about reputation, It’s either you’re loved, or you’re feared. And Elodie and Daniel remaining on the list pretty much all the time was the perfect example to show that. But Valerie? Well, she was neither of these options, so as much as she tried she knew she wouldn’t win this. Not that it kept her from trying her best.

Did she know what she was doing? Definitely not, and that was why she didn’t say it. Because that would have been a lie, a thing she doesn’t do. Valerie had no idea what she’s getting herself into, but one thing she knew, was that she wanted it. And at this point… there was no way out. But god knew she did not want out. She was in, all in.
