“Damn it, how did you find out that I was replaced by another species trying to take over the world,” In a dramatic fashion, Candice raised her watch to her mouth, pretending to click it down “WE’VE BEEN CAUGHT. WE NEED A BRAIN WIPE IMMEDIATLY,” she stated; before bursting out into a soft laugh. How Candice could have stayed this long away from her best friend, she would honestly never no. Being like this with her right now… it would be impossible to leave her again… hell it was the first time. She loved Valerie; her words that night in her letter held true and she honestly didn’t want to hurt her friend again.
It was interesting to see Val’s reaction over blue blood. Ironically, though, C seemed more excited for her friend than V did. Her response of something like that only bringing a frown on her face. “Doesn’t mean you can’t win, V. Stop being so hard on yourself. You’re amazing,” Candice uttered; gently rubbing the girl’s shoulder. “And if you don’t win; who the hell cares. It’s a stupid game anyways,” Candice continued. It was; she full heartedly believed every word of that statement. Though the other stupid thing was Valerie trusting that Dan wouldn’t hurt her. And although the girl asked C to trust her; it was hard. Candice had seen Val get hurt before… more than once. “Right…” Candice sighed, taking another bite of her food as the girl said she wouldn’t understand. Maybe she was wrong there was about a .0001% of that since she had seen Daniel Parker in all his glory since he was 8 but still. Maybe… or maybe she was right. Either way; Candice was going to prove it to Val that Dan wasn’t worth her time.
“So Ice skating and falling on your ass? We can’t wait forever,” C added… “Sneak down the fire escape to avoid the paparazzi?” she continued; though it seemed Val was invested in texting someone on her phone. “Daniel?” Candice asked; pointing towards the girl’s phone as she asked the question.
