Sadie Elizabeth Monroe

Dorian’s facial expressions seemed to soften slightly to which Sadie responsed with a huge internal exhale. Maybe she wasn’t doing too badly. A geniune smile appeared on her face while Dorian started asking about her moving here. “Actually, it’s the complete opposite,” Sadie explained. “It would suck even more if I had to spend another year at the school I was at before.” She was relatively open about her life pre-lottery win, as she wasn’t really ashamed of it. Plus, talking about things like that made people believe they could trust her with their own hardships - and they completely could.

Turning the conversation onto him proved to be effective, which Sadie was very glad about. Perhaps he was someone who liked talking about himself- his proud smile supporting that theory. “Yeah. Well, a bit,” She replied when he asked her about knowing the school. “I met a few people before starting so they each helped me learn a bit more about the place.” Sadie had spent the entire summer following and befriending as many people as she could, and so, thankfully, when arriving at school today, she could see many familiar faces.

She tried to hide her overwhelming feeling of delight when he asked her to join him in going to the cafeteria. Of course it wouldn’t be a big deal to most people, but for Sadie, she saw this as a success. “Sure, yeah,” Sadie replied, trying to sound as casual as possible before following him to the cafeteria - making a mental note of how to get there for future times.
