Candice didn’t know what Kai would want. Odds were he wanted to do nothing to do with a baby and if that was the case she would be fine. He was a prince - it wouldn’t be surprising if he shut her down right there or even thought she might be lying about it being his. In any case; she could say she tried. Tell her baby one day that his father was unknown… or something that wouldn’t hurt the kid’s feelings. But instead; what she got did shock her ever so slightly. The fact that Kai wanted to meet the boy. “I…” Candice said. “I don’t need anything but… I do think he should know you,” Candice got out with a soft smile. “Just let me know and we can set something up… I know you have a busy… life?” Candice asked. She would have continued though she heard ambulances and fire trucks coming in their direction. “I hope… no one got hurt…” Candice whispered looking back towards the castle. It was now looking worse than before she had started talking to Kai and her anxiety for the people possibly left inside soured. Candice watched as Daniel Parker entered the burning building; shaking her head at the idiot. Why was he going inside? Though C made no effort to stop him; nor did anyone else. This was screaming possible third-degree burns if someone did make it out. “I wonder why Daniel…” Though before she could say anything else to Kai; she heard a loud smash and looked towards the side of the castle where three people were struggling to get out.
“Oh my… god. Is that… Val?” Candice asked; fear and dread filling her body as she moved away from Kai and tried to get through the crowd to her friend though police had started putting a perimeter around the castle and Candice couldn’t get through as the Firefighters got Val…and who looked like Jessica? Anna? one of them to the ambulance. Let’s just say; Candice immediately moved towards them and it took about 10 minutes of arguing with the paramedics to get past them and into the ambulance where Dorian was talking to the Pierce sister. “Val,” Candice stated; rushing towards the girl and wrapping her hands around her best friend. “Are you okay? Oh my god”.
