Mareena Stokes

Who knew ten years could fly by so quick. It feels like they went by in a blink of an eye. She went from saying her goodbyes to everyone and now saying hi to everyone she hasn’t seen in a while. So much to unpack from these past ten years. Some years harder than other years, but much better than some thankfully.

After the night of graduation, where she talked to Dan about Laurel, Mare almost felt as if a small but noticeable weight fell off her shoulders. Did she still feel Regret? Guilt? Constant Nightmares? Yes to all of them. Although she knew the stress at night wouldn’t be good for the kids. Thats right Mareena and Theo found out they were gonna be having twins soon after then too. So considering there is also now two that she has to take in count, something had to be done. She went to Doctors and therapists to try and handle her problems. It went well for a while. Eventually getting down to one every other night and decreasing slowly. Honestly, it took her a while to open up to someone about it. Obviously she couldn’t tell her therapist all of it cause you know withholding evidence, but it still worked. With the twins due date coming up they had to prepare for names and h*ll was she nervous. The couple ended up picking Francesca and Lorenzo. More specifically Mare chose Lorenzo and Theo chose Francesca. Either way, they seemed to go go together. At least to her. As promised she had to get cute baby bump photos and hardly had to do much. Towards the end anyways, turns out she didn’t get to pull that card as much as she wanted to. Sad. She was happy too Rosalie’s response to having younger siblings. The way the girls face lit up was so wholesome. Throughout the gap year she took with Theo, they did travel as much as they could. To France, Poland, and other places. It was a fun year until the end when she had to push two living humans out of her. That was not so fun. Although when she squeezed Theo’s hand and he complained, that was kinda funny.

Now she went to college at NYU, joining her friends and continued with her modeling career in the meantime. If she was being honest, she had no idea what she wanted to do. Model for the rest of her life only felt like a waste and she wanted to be able to do something. She has done a little of all. In the end, Mare continued her studies in college while starting her acting career back up. She had to thank Eli for helping her even if he wasn’t there. Any rehearsals they would’ve asked her if she was related to Elias if they didn’t already know her. It worked out because what was supposed to be a small role in Supernatural that she landed actually jumpstarted her career back on track. Even if she wasn’t as famous as Eli cause he has been in a movie with Scarlett Johansson, she was still up there. It was nice and relaxing to know where she had her place. Along with everything at home. Boy did the twins keep them up all night as if Mare hadn’t lost enough sleep. Rosalie on the other hand always woe up so perky and how? She didn’t mind It much since they seemed to like her thankfully. She was expecting it, but at the same time if she couldn’t calm them down that would be disastrous.

Her gap year knocked her out of the same year as her friends in college, but it was still nice for graduation. It was funny to see Theo sitting there with Elias and Maddy who were constantly looking at the little ones with huge smiles on their laps. They caught eye of one another and simply smiled before he threw a wink her way. She was so happy where she was at in life. Maddy and Elias were doing great. She was so good for him and an amazing woman. And Theo, the love of her life, right by her side for everything. Everything worked out to plan until Theo had gotten his cancer back. It scared her so bad with the twins being around 4 now and Rosalie 8(?)Mare never realized how hard it is for one. Yes he talked about his past with it from time to time, but now that it’s happening again…it was bad. It had come back for a third time(?). Overall it took a toll on all of them. He was still him though even with the constant hospital runs. Either way, Mare didn’t leave his side for any of it. Luckily, they caught it soon otherwise it would’ve been an even worse mess that probably would’ve given her a heart attack. She could sense the worry in him with the little things he did everyday. Hug her a little tighter and kiss the kids a little more. It was nice, but the reason behind it wasn’t. It was a struggle to watch him in such a frail state. Keep a smile on because if she frowned she would end up making him even more upset.

Soon enough, they got back his scans one day and the cancer was gone. They removed it. So as any family would do, they went out to celebrate. Ice cream. One thing she was not expecting later that night was for Theo to get down on one knee. Like she knew they were gonna get married, but It still came as a surprise. The twins were now 6 and life had been catching up. So what a way to slow her world down. In a extravagant way, she said yes. It is such a beautiful ring. How he was able to pick it out, she has no clue. God, she loved him so much. A dream. A dream would be how she would describe her life at this moment. All dreams have to come to an end. Mare didn’t talk to her parents about her pregnancy. They saw through social media which enraged them crazily. As much as she would love for her kids to have their grandparents on her side, they were too bad of people. Not just to Mare and Eli, but to everyone around them. She was done with them, but apparently they weren’t done with her. She would’ve given them the chance, but they were different people now. They didn’t want her. They cut them out of everything, not that Mare cared. It still hurt though to know that her parents were truly gone. Out of her life for good. Until they decided to try and take her kids from her. HER KIDS. They tried to prove every way she was a bad parent. Getting pregnant young, etc. Half these things weren’t even that bad so what they were thinking when they tried to do this. She has no idea. It was such a hassle for nothing. It scared her. The woman was a great, the best lawyer here and even if they had some evidence it would’ve been enough for her to take it and run with it. It made no sense to her, but here they were. Standing in court with her. Mareena was livid. Why waste money and precious happiness just to do this? Try and take Frankie and Enzo away to them. She was relieved when the judge deemed her able to still be their mother. As if that was up in the first place. The whole thing came out of nowhere and blindsided her. Needless to say, she overthought more about what she does now than ever.

The following year was set for their wedding. She was majorly stressed ass he continuously went over everything to make sure it went in check. Even more than she did when she was pregnant. Which is really saying something. It was such a pretty venue and the two tried to keep it small. Inviting their friends they kept in touch with from high school, college, and along the way. Then Family of course. One of the best days of her life. To spend this with him was so nice. The kids went to his parents house since Maddy and Elias had another addition with their family now. Her niece was just so adorable, it was crazy. It was also so adorable to see the kids hold her. Their honeymoon was great to say the least. It seems as if they had been in the honey moon stage forever from how blissful their relationship has been.

Now two years later as she stepped onto the yacht with a few goodies. Which includes a really delicious and good supply of alcohol. So many familiar faces in one place after so long. She has kept in touch with most of the people here that she was friends with if she didn’t hang out with them occasionally. She spotted Dan and Valerie over coming in soon behind her. She’s pregnant again? How is one so pretty pregnant. Mare looked like a whale. It is funny how a Little bit ago she was just threatening Dan to see her over the phone, Valerie’s phone. Chuckling slightly to herself,“I’m gonna go put these in the room.” Mare spoke as he went towards past friends. There is so many here, kind of amazing. She walked to her room, excited for this weekend when she bumped into somebody’s shoulder as she was searching for the keycard to the room. “Oh so-” Mareena mumbled and looked up. Then looked down at the bad she was carrying, eyeing it carefully before looking down at her own bag. “At least we come prepared,” she shrugged. “I brought your favorite,” She smiled and grabbed the bottle. She had one at her house leftover from when they hung out so why not put it to good use again.
