Delilah Rose Hawthorne

Delilah stood at the edge of the pool with her arms folded, waiting for Candice to come to the surface. When she didn’t come up at first, Delilah merely sighed, as she figured it was once again Candice taking forever to do things while drunk. So it was no big revelation to her when Candice finally made it to the surface. As expected, she had no resentment towards Delilah in the slightest. Though, Delilah saw that she did seem noticeably a lot more awake, or sober, than before.

After her picking truth, Candice wasn’t given the chance to respond as a voice from a third party came from behind her. Delilah had a feeling who it was, and it was confirmed by Candice’s cheerful greeting, featuring the name: Kara Melbourne.

Completely ignoring the fact that Delilah had just pushed her into the pool, she felt extremely annoyed and somewhat betrayed at Candice’s welcoming attitude towards Kara. Delilah and Kara had been somewhat rivals since the dawn of time. She could see that Kara pretended to be kind to those she disliked and therefore saw her as completely fake. Delilah wasn’t entirely sure why Kara disliked her. Potentially the fact that she had a fling with her boyfriend. But who could say for certain that was the reason?

Kara stepped into eye view, asking what was going on, despite it being none of her business. Delilah couldn’t help but respond with an artless eye roll. Why did she think she was so entitled to know everything? “Oh, Kara,” Delilah replied with a sweet smile, contradicting the sourness of her words. “Maybe if you stopped meddling with everyone else’s lives, you’ll finally learn to get your own.”

To Delilah’s dismay, Candice invited Kara to join the game, and gave her the opportunity to ask Delilah a question. “Oh joy, she’s staying.” She remarked, refusing to give Kara the privilege of being faced by her. Delilah then waited impatiently for whatever question Kara would ask.
